Chameleon's Journal

I started at 220lbs, the highest my weight has ever been, and about 2 months ago I started a low carb diet, not strictly Atkins, I still have caffeine for example, and in that time I've lost 9lbs
Anyway, I thought I'd give journalling a go, cos when I have bad days I tend to push it out of my mind and if its here then I can't just ignore it...

I had a good day yesterday, despite wanting the kids Easter eggs lol
Low carb chocolate helped
I haven't been drinking enough water or doing much exercise since I've been home for the holidays, so I am going to try to drink 8 glasses of water today and take the dogs and/or kids to the park soon, probably play football which is better than no exercise at all!

Well, I weighed in on Wednesday morning, very hungover, and had lost 6lbs so was very happy, and was dancing around very pleased with myself for the rest of the day lol
So I've lost 14lbs altogether so far! And it has motivated me to keep at it.
I had a bad dream last night lol, I dreamt that I was eating a bowl of pasta and had eaten most of it before I realised what it was and was then like omg I've just eaten so many carbs..
Hmm lol, it was quite strange.
But yeah... anyway
I'm going back to University tomorrow night, so I'm gonna have to deal with the temptations of wine and beer and fast food and the other stuff that students usually consume lol!
But all in all the last week has been really good
I need to up the exercise, I've been so lazy whilst I've been at home and done next to no exercise (apart from walking the dogs). It will be easier once I'm back into my usual routine.

I went shopping today and bought lots of low-carb friendly food so when I'm back at uni it wont be so hard to find things to eat. I was supposed to go back last night but it didn't happen so I am going back tomorrow morning instead.
I had a good day today, well. I say that but I haven't really eaten anything today. I had some Ryvita this morning, and then a couple of mouthfuls of mackerel at dinner, even though I have discovered that I do actually like fish the thought of it still grosses me out.
I watched a program last night about a girl who was 34 stone, and I was in tears. Everything she was saying was an echo of what I think, the same reasons why I eat etc. and looking at her was what I see when I look in the mirror even though logically I know that I am big but nowhere near as big as that. It just really got to me, and for some reason made me wanna eat, but I didn't. Strange huh?
I've lost a stone in 5 weeks, and I'm not happy with that. I dunno it's weird.

I had an ok day today... well lol I didn't eat breakfast again, and then had a piece of low-carb cheesecake for lunch so not that great, and had steak and cauliflower for dinner, and an Atkins chocolate bar, and I had some nuts as well
And I've just realised it's almost 3am!
Ergh I have to be up in 5 hours.

I weighed myself this morning and I gained 1.2lbs this week. It's frustrating and it's hard not to just think '**** it I'm gaining weight anyway I'll eat what I want' but I'm not going to. A few weeks ago I gained the same amount of weight then lost 6lbs the week after so I'm hoping that my weigh in next week will be better . It's not even that I want things with loads of carbs in, cos I don't, yeah I don't know where I was going with that lol.
Anyway, today I didn't eat breakfast again but I will tomorrow.
I'm thinking about going back on induction until I get rid of a substantial amount of weight. What I need to do is actually COUNT how many carbs I'm eating, because I stopped counting when I went home for the holidays.
