BUBU'S B&B II
I am joining this board for the first time, but have used others.
I need a clean start, and this place seems to be very lifely at this time and fun to read. I have had good experiences with LC, just made the mistake of going off, when focus shifted to taking care of a a body going down hill, trying to quit smoking and other stress factors. Sometimes it just seems to pile up. Well considering I couldn't finish the quit, gaining lots of pds back, and the joints not feeling any better even without weight lifting, I decided the only factor missing was LC. So here I am once again, trying to lose the extra pds, but starting my lifting experience again. Sad are the weights I had to lower to, but its just a matter of time, and I will hold my head up higher again. I have been using the gym for eliptical and treadmil most of this down time, but just to keep myself from locking up all joints... I started 3-14-07 at 180 pds at 3-30-07 at 179 pds Workouts: Starting with BFL, then UP 3/27/07 UBWO, ET and Tread 3/30/07 LBWO, ET and Tread average cal for week one 1200, carbs 18 (total and clean) " " " " Last edited by bubu : 03-30-2007 at 02:16 PM. |

week 03/31-04/07
weight should have read 170 at 03/30/07 typo no change this week....up and down 1 pd I was going to cut calories this week, but the lifting really keeps me in the need of fuel. I haven't gotten the hrs of sleep I wanted either, and that plays a big roll in that. AND Tom is on its way, no need to get into the numbers game. My joints are feeling ok, just the back with all the cleaning suffered a bit. I am taking my time and getting enough down time to recover. Hope to increase in time. 04/14/07 Saturday.
Well, its been one month since my restart. I have averaged the total stats. Loss 180 down 12 pds to 169. Averages for 1 month cal. 1330 Fat 63 %( higher on mono ) carbs 7 % Protein 30 % Good start for me, considering that it took 3 weeks the fist time on Atkins to even see a loss. Difference = have left out PB and LC bread entirely, and have used cheese only once a week. The first 9 came off quickly, but was tough with headaches, tiredness etc. more so than the first time. Tom did its usual up-down game. Easter holiday went really well. The only special food I had was the LC pound cake. New found pleasures: I have discovered the RR thread and am making the rolls once/week. Also found the Shirataki thread and have cooked one package, and like the variety. Made the flourless choc cake in a cup....good for the pre Tom craving I think. Supplements: Am experimenting with Colustrum as supplement and fruit enzyme for acid balance. Multivitamine, I switch one day from carb smart to Flintstone with iron. The flintstones give my gut a rest, as I don't seem to handle the reg. very well. I take Fishoil or The Omega mix. Now and then when I feel overly constipated I also take a Magnesium/Calcium/Zinc Supplement, as well as C On gray days I add a B12 and D. I am tracking my water and measured for the "Race to Independence", which I should have done at 180 of course... I still have to take it easy with the workouts, and am afraid am not going to get back to where I used to be. That is ok, am not after bulking, but keeping my joints i.e. my body mobile. My WO schedule at this time is 2 cardio and to lifting days. As it gets nice out again I will be adding 3 miles of dog walk in the afternoon, as usual. Here's to the next month.....let the pds roll. |

Great I finally got a friend LC friend
I'm into my 3rd week I lost 9 lbs and for some reason gained 3 back - that was devastating. 4/20 Breakfast 1 cup decaf w/ heavy cream and splenda 1 boiled egg 3 bacon This LC eating is simple I think I can get used to this - for one thing I'm never overly hungry |

Hi,
nice to see you visiting my journal. Let me know when u have one set up, I don't see one yet, but when u do I will visit yours. I usually don't report daily in here, just weekly averages, which I get from my fitday software. Don't sweat the 2 pds, could be any reason for them. Salt and sugar (as in bacon) can be one reason. Have o ask ...are u male or female...in regards to weight fluctuations, we have more issues in that department as well. Keep posting ur menu, if you are new to this I can lend a hand with tips etc. This board is so lively, I think you will find lots of useful tips here. Glad to have you in my corner..... Bu ![]() |

Ok here goes the totally depressive stats. Tom should be here and its dragging out the start, but have the signs.
Bad day to even do stats but here it goes...pretty much no changes, but no wonder, haven't concentrated too much over the last week. Date: 05/01/07 Name:Bubu Independence Day challenge Food: 90% Water: bad, not tracking Cardio: lack thereof Challenges: new to fit in jeans in 2 weeks Daily weigh in:168.6 up .6 from 4/13 Neck -13.75/13.5 (-.25 ) Shoulders -43.5= Chest -37.5 /37 (-.5) Biceps (L) - (R) -12/12 = Waist -33.5/33.25 (-.5) Forearms (L) - (R) -10.5/10.5 = Hips -38.75 = Thighs (L) - (R) -25/25= Calves (L) - (R) -16/16= Total Inches:294 -1.25=292.75 oh boy how sad Gotta change things up. So I am in a rut and motivated to get out of it. Tried on a pair of jeans which fit last summer, and am motivated to fit back into them in 2 weeks. I didn't track calories over the last week, since DH was home, but ate pretty much legal, outside of a couple of A-bars when others had cake. They didn't seem to bother me, but they and the beers I had prob. did. I will pick a constant cal/carb level for this week and stick to the same. I want to see a pattern emerge. Right now its been up and down, and of course TOM isn't helping . Sure seems like the cycles come around way too soon. I am not going to give in to defeat, I know I am going to lose this weight. It will just take a bit longer this time, as I can't work out as hard as I used to. I will use portion limits even if cals are low to see if I can't shrink the stomach up a bit, so I signal full sooner and don't feel bloated. |

Just need to re-evaluate.
I have followed the normal induction for quite a few weeks, while upping calories. I have a great initial success dropping the water weight, and now again ingesting CO and upping the fat-protein ratio. I have experience with some recipes (high fat) and seen success, and have even lost on as much as 1900 - 2100 calories. fat high, protein med., carbs low. I have also experienced with some low carb bread, which I think slowed it down some and did increase my appetite. I originally stayed away from cheese, but have started using it without bad results. I have not taken in PB and cream only once with no ill effects. In fact the cream was the substitue for the CO I ran out of. As I am nearing TOM in about a week, I am not sure if its my pre Tom weight loss that may be enhancing this. I am game to find out. Am getting another jar of CO today and another Gal. is on the way from a screwed up order. I really missed my CO. My stats for weight lost 182 Week 1= -9 173 Week 2=-2 171 week 3= -1 170 week 4=-1 169 week 5=+.2 169.2 week 6 =-2 167.2 week 7=+.6 167.8 week 8=-.8 167.0 week 9=+.4 167.4 week 10=-3.4 after one week of CO 164.0 weel 11= Higher Cal. And fat no CO week 11 started 5/22/07 at 164.0 pds |
