Here's my story....
I’m having a hard time starting MY story. This means so much to me. It’s like I’m taking that last and final step in my weight loss struggle. That step for me is being truthful to myself and others. Here’s my story….. I’ve always struggled with my weight. This has been a life long battle for me. When I was younger I was always the “big girl”. Everyone would say “you have such a beautiful face” as if the rest of me was just HORRID. I remember being 8 or 9 yrs old and sneaking candy or chips. I finally decided in high school that enough was enough. I ate one meal a day and worked out 3 times a day getting down to 190ish. I maintained for awhile then met my ex-husband. Well, needless to say the stress of a relationship didn’t do well for my weight. I was 18, steady gaining, and just found out I was pregnant. Despite all the issues in my relationship, I decided to marry my ex-husband and try to make a family for my daughter. Of course that didn’t last long, we divorced and again… more stress. Gaining all my weight back… plus extra during my marriage I weighed over 300lbs. ::YIKES:: What was I thinking??? Being a single mom and getting things done I did lose a lot of the weight. Within a year, I went back down to 220ish. Now this was at least 8 years ago. ::SIGHS:: This brings us to my current situation. I managed to gain all the weight back. I can sit here and give you all the reasons I’ve made up in my head. What good would that do me? Well it’s simple… I OVER ATE and now I’m here starting over yet AGAIN. I’ve found every reason to satisfy my own need to overeat. It’s time for me too KEEP IT REAL… I found this board several years ago… that’s when I met Chrissy (Dreamsunwind). Chrissy has been a great friend. Thanks soooo much for all your support. I decided to get real with myself on July 24th.. I worked up enough nerve to finally face my weight. I hoped on the scale and it said….. 360. OMG… I cried and cried. Then I decided that was it and I wouldn’t go down without a fight. This is my first step… being honest about my weight and eating issues with myself and others. My goal is to come here everyday and post my menu… feelings… any and everything. I can give myself one full year… no cheats.. just staying focused. I’m managed to find time to do everything but take care of me. So now… It’s MY TIME… Keeping It Real..

Well done! Loved reading your story, I can relate to a lot of it.
One quick question, your menu for yesterday, is that really all you ate? It seems so low, i've be starving if I only that that! Have you found that as you've lost you have less of an appetite? Anyway, congrats! ![]() |

I've had a pretty busy day... did lots of cleaning and ran a few errands. I've been really good with my water this last month. I've been drinking more than a gallon a day. Woot Woot!!!
Menu: Breakfast: 2 HB Eggs Lunch: 2 HB Egss Dinner: Chicken and green beans Eloise - I would say my appetite is less due to the low carbs and low fat. Which in turn gives me a quicker weight loss. I can say.. I truly have no hunger and the weight is just melting away. |

Awww thanks guys..
![]() For some reason I was starving yesterday when I got home from work. I was thinking it may be TOM, but I really don't think so. I had steamed shrimp about 8 extra large and grilled chicken with hot sauce. Now you would think that was enough... NOPE.. I had about a handfull of mixed nuts. Ok guys... I truly believe people come into your life for a reason. I'm to learn something from them or give to them in some way. Well, I was doing my normal morning thing and something said... take a different train. So I did.. and ran into this really sweet lady. She just talked and talked... alot about life and being with someone that treats you well and knowing all the signs when you aren't. Now I'm not really sure how this relates to me NOW, but I'm 100% sure I'm going to need this in life. The conversation was short but very meaningful. I just thought I'd share that. ![]() I have a mini goal for Mother's Day. I'm having too step my plan up a few notches. I'm doing really great but I know I really need alot more exercises. I don't really see much I can do in the form of eating. I'm planning on giving it some thought and I'll be back later with some ideas. All is welcome. |

Its been kinda crazy in my life lately. I think I'm currently under the most stress I've ever felt in my entire life. I haven't turned to food as I normally do but its really hard. I'm taking it one day at a time.
Over the last two days I've managed to eat one high protein meal and exercise once a day. That's it. The rest of my days has consisted of me laying in bed thinking and thinking and thinking. After one week on my challange I've loss 14 lbs. Weighing in at 275. |

Today was sooo long. I thought it would never end. I managed to eat one bowl of chicken salad and exercised twice getting my 6 miles done. Started week 2 yesterday and I'm soo excited I actually completed a full week.
