Heatha's BFL Journal
Started BFL yesterday at 139 pounds. i cant believe i allowed myself to gain those extra pounds. really bothers me. Must have been the extra winter pounds.
anywho, i started yesterday with upper body. I ate really clean, and i actually dropped a pound down to 138. yay me!! I have also been taking the ELOO. I think that helps keep my hunger at bay, and is also a good fat to be added to my diet. Today, i rollerbladed for 20 min, as suggested in the book. It was a little hard while doing it with a jogging stroller, but i made it, and i really pushed it at the end. i can feel my legs muscles ache already. lol. Today i had breakfast burrito, chicken sandwich with whole wheat bread, banana, green beans, and lots of water so far today. Tonight, im keeping dinner light, probably have a salad and tuna fish. |

Hey lovely lady. I was thinking about you the other day. The last time I read a post by you, it was concerning having your hair colored and you couldn't decide which shade you wanted.

Well, im still at 138 today, so at least i maintained the one pound loss,
today is my off day. Im going by the BFL schedule. Im still eating clean, since i havent gotten a full week in yet. this morning: i had low fat cottage cheese and a banana with a piece of whole wheat pita bread. lunch: fist size piece of wild alaskan salmon, 1/2 cup of brown rice, and a cup of asparagus lightly drizzled in olive oil snack: Sliced up apples with 2 tblsp natural chunky peanut butter (oooo, sooo goood!!!) dinner will be left over salmon from lunch, brown rice, and asparagus. well, still at 138 today, im going low carb today, and try to see where that takes me. i may try carb cycling if i like it.
having a very down day today, and a little depressed. super tired to boot, i only got 3 hours sleep last night, i think it was the green tea. do not drink green tea an hour before bed time. lol |

Ouch!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! MY legs HURT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
i feel like i can hardly walk. Today is Cardio Day. I will do my Cardio tonight, either before school or after, depending on weather and availablility of a sitter. This morning, i ate what i cooked last night which was 90/10 lean ground beef mixed with stewed tomatoes, garlic, green beans, and corn. It was so yum! So i had a cup of that, and one piece of extra fiber whole wheat bread. I also had a mid morning snack of a 1/2 cup of cottage cheese and 1/2 a banana (my kid grabbed the other half from me. lol) I think i may cook up some salmon tonight, it sure was good the other day. All these carbs, and im still staying strong at 138. But i know im building muscle too, so the scale doesnt matter anymore. Today im going to take my measurements to check progress. ill still weigh, but it will be inacurrate. as long as i dont go up into the dreaded 140s ill be happy. i so want to look hot this summer on the beach. just one summer, thats all im asking for. haha. |

Yes, my legs hurt for days afterwards, but im all good. ive been busy busy, working out, school, full time job, and lots of stress, but the workouts are helping deminish the stress.
im positive that im gaining muscle, i can already see definition on my biceps and deltoids. which is great, and my legs are looking more "toned" so to speak. i dont know if im losing any fat, my weight has increased up to 140. but im also taking creatine, CLA/GLA, and im sure im retaining water in the muscle cells. Im also doing HIIT 3X's a week. I'm lifting heavy too. So hopefully soon, ill see a turn around, gain more muscle and eventually that will slim down the fat. anywho, today was "off" day. I ate lowcarb today, my carbs were significantly low around 20g's. And im going to carb up tomorrow, and try the carb cycling, only doing low carb on Cardio Bunny Day. ; ) If anyone would like to chime in to give me suggestions or support, i would greatly appreciate it. i will post full body before pics soon. probably not in a bikini though. lol ; ) SMILES! |

Hey Heatha!
Are you following the BFL eating plan and BFL exercise plan? I've been considering adding the BFL strength training program since I've known others have done it successfully. Do you go to a gym to do your exercises, or are you doing them at your home? |

well I am seeing slow improvements, most in my tone .... but honestly the slower I lose the weight , the better i keep it off.. in my case

Hi Heatha!
How is your BFL program going? BFL is the only program that I have had tremendous success with and I know it needs to be FOR LIFE. I don't know why I fell, because I know how well it works but laziness stepped in and I have been doing Low Carb and various other things on and off for what now seems like forever... Question is... How is your progress thus far? I am thinking of starting back up again next week (Sunday) and I have just been afraid of adding in carbs like I once had. I have learned alot by going off BFL - like that I should cut out certain items from my diet - so I will incorporate that. But I just wanted to ask you opinion... Thanks in advance! ~Courtney

good morning! i have been lazy today. but i did get in a session of HIIT and have started taking Yohimbe/Caffeine about a week ago on an empty stomach before workouts. I have noticed a huge difference in my thighs since taking the combo. I had one free meal yesterday, so weight is up to 139. Which is fine, ill drop it by tomorrow, and hopefully see 137.
