Jennifer~If you have any favorite restaurants or places in Denver that I must see, then I would love some suggestions. We are staying at the Hyatt Regency. I heard it's right in the middle of everything. I'm excited.

Red Rocks Amphitheatre is AMAZING!! (and you can get a good workout, climbing the bleachers)

Visiting Red Rocks

Golden, (12 miles outside of Denver) is a cute historic town that I love.

City of Golden Colorado - Where the West Lives! - Tourist Attractions

If you are downtown, EVERYTHING is there. Have fun exploring everything. A good restaurant downtown Bubba Gump Shrimp.

Just checking in with everyone. The past few days have been a nightmare.

First off, we have been swamped at our business and haven't had enough hands to get all the work done. I have been going at night and working to get the work done. I haven't gotten in the bed before 2am. So tired!

Then, secondly yesterday my dad was having issues with his blood pressure. He was dizzy and his blood pressure was 205/100!

He ended up in the emergency room and they took like 3 hours or so to get it to come down. Then, after mom gets him home he passes out on the couch and she can't get him to respond. Apparently the meds made his blood pressure go very low (65/40). She had to call the paramedics to come out and get him. I am not there so we are on the phone trying to help her (I live 45 min. away) He ended up spent the night in the hospital. They finally got his bp up but this afternoon when they were fixing to release him it went up sky high again.

I am worried and afraid....frustrated b/c of the timing of everything.....don't know what is in store. My parents are suppose to keep the kids come Saturday for us to leave. I am panic now too because since I have been working at our business, I haven't gotten everything done like I wanted to at this point in the week. I am fixing to start packing when I get off here. ANYWAY, please pray for me and my parents!!!

On a lighter note, my weight is down.

I weighed 133 this morning. I guess all the running around and eating light is making a difference. I really haven't been thinking about it to tell you the truth. I do have hopes that by Saturday I just might be in the 132's like I hoped. It's been the only highlight of the last few days.

I will try to check in again before I leave to give updates.

Oh Beth, I'm so sorry about your dad and all the stress you are under right now.

So many prayers that your Father makes a quick recovery. What a horrible scare. I am so sorry you had to go through that.

Try to relax, enjoy your skinniness, and have a nice holiday! 133! Sheesh! Celebrate your independence from 135!

Thank you ladies for all your prayers. They were indeed heard. My dad is doing better. They got his bp stable and the meds are working for his dizziness. We might even see him today at our 4th celebration. It's a great testimony of how God helped him!

I am also feeling much better today. I have everything packed except for what we will need in the morning. Now it's just getting the house back in order. Also, I was 132 this morning even...not 132 point something!!! If I can keep control today at my friend's house I might even see 131!!!! Oh, that would be incredible!!!

Hope everyone has a great holiday. Please pray for a safe travel for us. I looked at the weather and it says thunderstorms both here and Denver. I don't like flying in thunderstorms.

Krysta~I wish you were going to be there. We would have indeed hooked up and met each other for sure.
