Well, I am guessing this is my "chocolate week" ....boy, do I want chocolate!!! Plus I am retaining water...rings tight etc. I hate these weeks. My menu was terrible yesterday. I did get in the fat . It's just one of those menus that looks like junk. I am really not in a bad mood if it sounds like I am. Just tired from the day and not wanted to go into the kitchen and start dinner....Kids want chili tonight. Just printed off some recipes....gotta see what I have in the pantry.

Don't have much to say otherwise. I got some packing together today. So, I feel better about that. House is fairly clean. Little kids finally started taking their nap after being in their rooms for an hour. I may just lay down and take a 30 min myself. I did get up and exercise this morning on the treadmill. If I am energetic enough after dinner I think I will get on again.

Menu from yesterday

B~Atkins shake
L~Made a dip....cream cheese, rotel, little sour cream...then, made some cheese "crackers" to eat with it
S~2 PMS chocolates
D~Different flavored wings at Wild Wings Cafe, celery w/ ranch/bleu cheese
D~homemade ice cream, and half of Atkins shake



See, I told you....PMS! I know you are laughing.... I don't even want to speculate the carb count. I have done much better today. Oh well....that's life.

That dip sounds really good. I haven't made cheese crackers in a while. Need to get the right cheese. Well, you did have a PMS menu, but not a bad one. Pat yourself on the back that your didn't eat cake, cookies and stuff like that.

I'm finally back on here....it's been a long 5 days....

Krysta~I have missed seeing you here in my journal. I totally understand with all that you have been dealing with though. Just check in as often as you can.

Jaime~You're funny too my friend. Thanks for encouraging me enough though I need to be spanked!

Sue~The dip is really good. You'll have to try it. You know, on the cheese, I just use whatever now. It all turns out good from what I have found. I made some shredded cheddar, shredded mozzarella, shredded Parmesan.....I hardly ever make the sliced anymore. You just have to cook the shredded kind a little more to get the crunch rather than the chewy.

Deb~The PMS cups are just wonderful. I play around with them sometimes. I have found that if you add a little bit more chocolate in the mix they come out better. I even did some with Coconut Oil instead of butter. Thank God for them!

Monet~Thanks for dropping in.

Mandy~I have often wondered just how many people read my journal. I hope I don't disappoint anyone by my failures. It's just real around here. Thanks for letting me know.

OK, everyone....I had a great weekend. It was nice to get away even if it required a lot of work on my part. Packing alone for 6 people can wear me out.

We left on Friday around noon for Asheville, NC. Stopped at Chickfila on the way. I just love that place. They are so nice there. We made great time. Once we checked in (at the Homewood Suites-the best place to stay with a family...no kidding!) we hit the pool. It was an indoor pool so I didn't have to put the sunscreen on (big plus). They had a hot tub in the pool area which made me squeal when I saw it. Ah, the life!



We met our friends for dinner that night. I had no idea where they were taking us. It ended up being the LARGEST Asian buffet I had ever seen. I knew I was in trouble when I walked in. A low carbers nightmare. I started out TRYING to find something to eat and then said screw it. A plate of sushi, egg rolls, and various wonderful full of sugar dishes later I wanted to just get on a couch and unbutton the pants. BAD GIRL!!!! I guess I could've had a diet coke and sat there drawing attention to myself while lying about not being that hungry all the while drooling over every one's dishes. YES, that would have been better. Anyway, It was me that did it and had to pay dearly for it. I knew what was coming....cheated by popping some Pamprin to counteract the Chinese eyes from the sodium.

Next day....breakfast at hotel...did fairy well....had eggs, corn beef hash and a couple of bites of oatmeal. Lunch after graduation was provided by the family. They didn't have a lot for me to eat but I stayed true (even though they had a table full of desserts).

On the way back home, we met my parents for dinner at the Olive Garden. My DS#3 birthday (14th) was yesterday (Monday) so we were celebrating early since he was going to camp the next day. I did well there too (Mixed Grill w/o potatoes and double vegetables)! It wasn't until after dinner that I went back into PMS mode. My parents decided to take the younger ones with them overnight so we wouldn't have to travel with them the next day taking the older ones to camp. We took advantage of not having them with us and took the boys to the movies.



At the movies, DH asked me while I was on my way to the bathroom what I wanted at the concession stand. I jokingly said peanut M&M's. He gave me the look...you know the Carb Police look ....so I laughed and said a diet coke. Now I had settled myself in the bathroom that I would be OK since we had just eaten and I wasn't prepared to go to the movies...no secret stash in the purse. BUT...DH sits down and hands me the M&M's!! I was mad but not mad enough to not tear open them and devour them all!! I am so embarrassed. Just stay with me because the worst is yet to come. After we got home and everyone went to bed, my sweet tooth was screaming at me! I had screwed up already right? I ended up eating sugar cereal! I haven't eaten sugar cereal in two years! I did have it with Calorie Countdown milk. I was so disgusted with myself when I went to bed. Heartburn set in during the night which made it worse. I used to have LOTS of heartburn when I ate carbs. I said to myself...well, what's done is done...tomorrow's a new day.

Yesterday, I did so good. It wasn't until late at night I had a few sweet cravings. I just grabbed an Atkins bar and was done. I do really want to get back to not craving sweets. It's been a long time since that has not effected me. Which explains why I have had trouble in the last 6 months or more. I know the only way to get rid of the sweet tooth is boot camp induction. I have tried it and seem to not make it though a whole day. I NEED to be disciplined and do it!

So, I guess you are all wondering...How is my weight doing? Well, I didn't weigh myself yesterday morning (Are you kidding??!!). I waited until this morning. I weighed 134.4. Not good but not horrible either. I think being in the bathroom several times yesterday really helped. I have really got to get back doing right. I have a month until I go on my first "vacation" and I really want to feel good about myself when I go. I just have to set my mind to doing it (and get rid of all that is tempting me even if it is legal).

I think you did great! You will probably have a big loss the minute you drop back into ketosis, anyway! Just consider it a refeed!

Sounds like a fun trip filled with good food. And, you're only up two pounds. That's nothing.

You have learned how to maintain your weight in the last year, and a few indiscretions here and there are not going to be the end of you.

I realized this morning that I got on here yesterday but never made a post in my own journal. I have had now two good days under my belt and I'm feeling better already. No weight loss just yet. I didn't weigh the last couple of days, so my weight may have gone up past 134.4. This morning I just weighed the same but I am feeling thinner.

I had more energy yesterday. I cleaned house all day and ran errands. It was a very active day. Today will be just as active....lots to do! Tomorrow I have to go get the boys (by myself) 3 hours away. Not a big fan of traveling by myself but I have no choice. I guess it is better than traveling 3 hours w/ two sm. children. Nana will be keeping them for me. And come to think of it, I will only be by myself for the first 3 hours. I am sure there will be lots of talking from the boys coming back home.

Menu from yesterday:

B~1/2 cup Egg Beaters(2), 4 bacon, coffee w/ 1/2n1/2(1) & DS=3
L~Atkins shake=1
S~1/2 LC Fuze drink=1
D~Roasted chicken(0), 1/2 cup squash & red onion sauteed in EVOO(2), cup of salad mix(2), bacon ranch (1)=5
D~1/4 cup ricotta cheese w/ vanilla DS(2)=2

T=12


Ketone stick: still negative
Water intake:40 oz.
Exercise: cleaned house

Back on plan and full of energy. That's great.

Hope you have a good trip tomorrow. I enjoy traveling by myself because I can listen to all the talk radio I like without the kids complaining about it. I hate to admit it, but I'm a talk radio junkie and have been for almost 25 years.

Woo Hoo! I am in good ketosis! I didn't think I could get so excited over a pee stick! It was moderate this morning! No weight loss to report so far. I wonder if my scale is broke?

My trip to get the boys went very smooth. The traffic in Atlanta wasn't bad at all. I guess I got there right after rush hour. In fact I got to the camp early. The time flew by....thank God for the radio!

Still doing great on my food. I am so proud of myself. A real challenge will be tonight when I break out my son's ice cream cake. We waited until this weekend to do his cake. I won't cheat. It just stinks. I want to really stick to induction right now so LC ice cream is out of the question. I will just have to make sure I am stuffed at dinner.
