You ladies are such great cheerleaders! Thank you!!!

Alright.....weigh day......drum roll please............................................ !

I started out Saturday weighing 135.6. This morning I weighed 133.6! I lost 2 pounds!!!! Can you believe it? It just goes to show you that when you set your mind to following the plan and make preparation to accomplish it, then the weight does come off! I have some hope today that if I will continue to be disciplined then I will reach goal.

DD got a new bed yesterday...a big girl bed. She actually slept in her bed all night last night. I can't wait to change her decorations next month for her birthday. She wants a princess bedding. I love that she LOVES pink and likes to dress up and have me do her hair. God is so good to not give me a tom boy.

I had a temptation to grab some nuts or chocolate yesterday afternoon. I wasn't showing signs of being hungry (I had already had a shake an hour before). I realized that I was just stressed about finding a mattress set for DD's bed. I talked myself through it and resisted. I ended up just getting something to drink and chewing some gum. It worked and I was proud of myself for not going off Induction.

Menu from yesterday:

B~Atkins shake=1
L~Grilled chicken salad(4), ranch(2), tea w/ splenda(2)=8
S~Atkins shake=1
D~BBQ pork-no sauce(0), mayo(.5), salad(2), Caesar bacon dressing(1)=3.5
D~Coffee w/ HC(.5) & DS= .5

T~15

Ketone stick this morning: Moderate
Water: 50oz.
Exercise: went walking

I have found two new loves. The first one is Peanut butter davinci's....taste just like peanut butter when you add it to cream cheese. The second is Kraft's Caesar Bacon dressing. Only 1 carb per 2 T.

Good job making it through the temptation yesterday, Beth! And WhooHoo on being down two pounds. That's awesome.

After you finally got a girl, it's fun that she's girly. My DD is so not a tomboy either. It's such a blessing to have a daughter that is close to me.

That Caesar Bacon dressing sounds yummy. I'll have to try that.

I got knocked off line for a little bit.....

Having DD is so refreshing after having three boys. Now she can handle herself. She has no problem asserting herself. She is still a girl through and through. Boys and girls are SO different!

That dressing is very yummy! It's good to have another choice.

I just realized that I am close to being at my siggy weight. It feels good for that to be the truth. I have only 1.6 pounds to go to being back to where I was stuck for so long. I will be glad to get that weight gain off. Weighing 132 is MUCH different in feeling than 135.6! Keep praying! I am 8.6 pounds from goal!

You're going to make goal soon, Beth, with your determination.

I was having trouble with LCF earlier. I posted on a bunch of threads here, and it just wouldn't post.

Yes, girls are VERY different than boys. So glad I have both.

It makes me sad Monet that you don't have a girl. If you lived closer, I would share mine with you.

Wow! A big girl bed! That is a huge step! Did she stay in it all night? Do you gate the bedroom door?

I often yearn for a little girly-girl! But I can always spend time with my darling niece, so it's ok!

I am sooooo proud of you! As far as I am concerned, you are at sig weight! You go girl! I have a strong feeling that taking a bit of a break, and then restarting so cleanly is just what you needed to blow right through to your goal!

Enjoy your Sunday!

Forgive me for being absent in my journal. I will have to catch up......

Friday & Saturday

I was gone most of the day Friday and into the night. Friday night we went out with some friends. We went to a new place so I was a little nervous about what I was going to eat. Most places you can trust that they will have a steak and this restaurant was no exception. After we ate, EVERYONE ordered dessert. I was really upset with DH. They all kept trying to get me to taste of their desserts but I resisted. I was really proud of myself.

Friday's menu:

B~Flax seed muffin w/ cream cheese
L~Eggs, bacon, 1 sausage link, coffee w/ 1/2n1/2 & 2 splendas
S~Roast beef slices, 1 slice cheese
D~Salad w/ ranch, rib-eye, broccoli

Saturday we travelled to Macon for our meeting. We stopped at Cracker Barrel before we got there. I love that place. Our meeting was good. At break they had a whole table of cookies, brownies, pastries, and sodas. Man did all that stuff look good. Thank the Lord I had tamed that sugar craving. I had thought ahead and put two Atkins bars in my bad just in case. I got DH and I diet cokes and we ate a Chocolate PB bar. Those bars have saved me a many of time. After the meeting we didn't have much time to get ready for the banquet. The food was really terrible at the banquet. They had chicken, fish, beef w/ gravy, glazed carrots, some kind of casserole, potatoes, salad w/ only one dressing, chicken salad, bread, dessert. I had some chicken and fish, salad, and chicken salad. It just wasn't tasty at all. I resisted the dessert.

Menu from Saturday:

B~Atkins shake
L~Eggs, bacon, breakfast steak, tea and coffee w/ splenda
S~Atkins bar & diet coke
D~Chicken, fish, chicken salad, salad, vinaigrette dressing, coffee /w 1/2n1/2 & splenda
glass of white wine

Sunday:

We got up and went down for breakfast at the hotel. We stayed at the Hilton Garden Inn. It was a very nice place. The beds were sleep number beds and the bedding & pillows were down. I slept so good. Getting back to the breakfast....they have a hot breakfast. The cook made us omelets. There was bacon also to go with it. I was tempted by the fruit and oatmeal. None for me though. We left after we ate, did some shopping, and headed home. My parents had kept the kids so we went out with them that night to a local Mexican place. DH and I got fajitas. I went home and exercised on the treadmill.

Menu from Sunday:

B~Omelet w/ cheese, bacon, peppers,onions & tomatoes, extra bacon, coffee w/ 1/2n1/2 & splenda
L&D (Late lunch/early dinner)~2 celery sticks w/ cheese dip, Mixed fajitas
S~2 squares of Lindt 85% chocolate

I was a little nervous this morning getting on the scales. I know with all the eating out and traveling I was bound to be up on the scales. I was only a little up....134. I know I am retaining some water and having bathroom problems. Hopefully I can get it back off soon and some more this week. I missed everyone here. Look forward to catching up with you tomorrow. Let's have a great week!!!

Your eating was soooo good! Especially for being out and about as much as you were! You never stop showing us the right way to do it! WTG on the bars!

I just love Cracker Barrel! We go there after church quite often. Lots of lc options, and both of my picky kids will eat there.

That water weight will come right off, and you will see a loss as well!

Beth, you did such a great job on your eating with all the eating out you had to do. And then you even exercised when you got home. Great job.

I was just saying the other day that I would love to try out a sleep number bed. Did you feel like you got a much better night's sleep because you fit the comfort to your body? Sounds interesting.

BTW, shame on your DH for trying to tempt you with dessert.

Good Afternoon everyone!

Deb & Monet~Thanks for the praise. I must say that there is something about infaticly saying I will not go off this diet when leaving for a trip. It sets you up for making the right choice. Always be prepared is my motto!

Sue~I'm sure the exercise came out of being scared the scales were going to go up. At this point whatever gets me on that treadmill is OK. As far as the sleep number bed, they are wonderful. I went to the store one time and the sales people put you on the bed. The computer tells you what your number is. It's based on pressure points. The screen will tell you where your body has stress why sleeping. If I could just afford one, I would buy one in a heart beat. They do have financial plans. One of these days....

Eating was good yesterday. I was gone all day long yesterday. I was so tired when I got home, but I did want to catch up in my journal. This morning DS#3 started coughing again. He stayed home. I was kinda glad because I needed some extra sleep. I went back to bed...so nice!

I went down a little on the scales this morning...133.8. It's good to see 133 again. I am encouraged that if I will be disciplined this week I might have a chance to see 132.

Menu from yesterday:

B~Atkins shake(1), coffee w/ HC(.5) & DS=1.5
L~Chickfila-Grilled chicken salad w/ extra chicken(I took out the carrots & tomatoes)(5), ranch(1), Extra Lg. tea w/ splenda (4 -large teas take a lot of splenda)=10
D~Outback-2 Ahi tuna w/ tiny bit sauce(2), salad(took out onions, tomatoes, no croutons)(2), ranch(2), rib-eye(0), sauteed spinach(1)=8

T~19.5

Ketone stick: small
Water yesterday: ?
Exercise: walked at mall

Just a tip: When I eat out and get a salad w/ my meal, I usually take out some of the higher carb items. Restaurants usually give you large salads with your meal. If you are planning to eat a veggie too, taking out items from your salad will help you lower your carbs. The salad at Outback is normally 6 carbs w/o croutons. When you add the dressing, you almost have a meal before the real meal comes. I have said this before...I also dip my fork in the salad dressing instead of pouring it on my salad.
