Well, the shot along with the meds have gotten rid of the hives. You can still see where they were but they are not inflamed any more. Praise the Lord. That has got to be in the top 10 of the worse things I have been through. Both of the little ones were complaining of earaches last night. I am debating on whether or not to take them into the doctor's office for fear they may pick up something else. They don't have any fever so it may just be pressure from the colds still lingering.
If you are wondering how my diet has been throughout this whole ordeal, I haven't been completely good but have still tried to stay true. The day of the funeral we had a dinner afterwards and I really didn't care at that moment. I ate what I wanted to eat including dessert. Some of the things I have eaten during this time have not been completely bad for me such as an apple w/ peanut butter and oatmeal w/ splenda. I just haven't been eating as much as normal. My weight was 134.8 this morning so I am not complaining at all. Hopefully when I get my strength back up I can start on my treadmill again. Gotta go for now. My youngest son turned 5 yesterday and my oldest son turns 15 today. We are taking him to get his learners license today after school. I can't believe it. We had to postpone their parties(this past weekend) until this coming weekend due to all the sickness. Praying everyone is completely better by Saturday!

Dearest Beth, what a week you've had. I'm glad the hives are gone, but what an ordeal. I've had a similar experience with itchiness about 18 years ago and I thought I would go crazy with the itching, so I can relate.
I hope that everyone in the family is back to full health now. So, your first to get a permit, huh? Fun times ahead. DD has had her license for 2.5 years without any accidents, and I really do thank the Lord for that. DS is going to get his permit next month. He will turn 15 1/2 then, and in WA, if they aren't in drivers training school, they can't get one until then. He wanted to start drivers school in the fall, but with DD in school, we couldn't afford it; we're saving the $$ now. I don't know about in Georgia, but here they don't teach it free in the schools ($350.00) but the drivers training school is cheaper than that, so we will enroll him this summer when he has the time. Right now with baseball, he won't have a spare moment. After traveling, your weight looks great! I have been praying for you, Beth, and know that the Lord is with you so very near each day. ![]()

Good morning! It's good to be back with all my wonderful friends.
![]() Monet~Good advice! I will take it and put it into practice if I can't for go the temptation. Hopefully I will be able to not eat it at all. We will have pizza and salad as well. Maybe I can fill up on that instead. Sue~You are so sweet! Thank you for your prayers. I know they really helped see me through all the hard times I have faced recently. As far as the drivers class, yes we have to pay that much for them too. He can go ahead and get his learners but has to take the class and health test before getting the license. I guess we had better start saving as well. The place was closed yesterday so he is going today. We let DS#1 pick the place he wanted to eat for his birthday last night. He picked our favorite Thai place. I ate all the things I shouldn't last night ....Pad Thai & egg rolls. I didn't eat the rice though. I don't know what got into me..... I keep finding myself making excuses for why I can cheat. First it was all the holidays and birthday celebrations, then it was depression and anxiety, then the funeral, now I think it was because my weight had dropped a little and I felt like I could afford it. Now I am out of ketosis. ![]() I have GOT to stop this trend of cheating! Bathing suit season is fastly approaching. I looked back at when I started this journal. It was March 7 of last year. It has been almost a year since I have been keeping record. I can't believe it. When I started this journal I weighed 148.8. I had already lost 26.2 pounds at that point. I have lost more since then of course and have kept it off. I have that to be proud of. I have never reached my goal of 125. The lowest I have gotten has been 129. I don't know if I will reach it or not but it won't hurt to continue to try. I have to remind myself that I really wanted to just be healthy with the weight loss being a plus. It is easy to get caught up in the thrill of losing the weight. It really motivates you to continue. But if that is your only motivation, then when you reach the point I have in my weight loss journey it will be really hard emotionally to continue when the pounds don't continue to drop. I think many will agree with me. You can really set yourself up for failure and gain it all back. I am aware of that and have seen many people on here say the same thing. I don't want to be one of those people. So kick me in the behind and keep me accountable. Thank you!!! We have had bad storms here this morning. I hope they don't continue. I have to take me and DS#3 to get haircuts and then both the little ones back to the doctor to get their ears checked. They are still complaining of pain. I will be bathing them in antibacterial everything this afternoon when we get home. Lord protect us from more germs! Today....I WILL be TOTALLY on plan!!! |

Three things to report for today....
First, both of my little ones did in fact have ear infections in both ears....so glad I went ahead and took them in to see the doctor. Second, my oldest past his learners test with flying colors. He now has his "license" card....didn't realize they actually get a real card w/ picture and all. Last, I have managed to stay on task today. No cheats! ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() |

It is so hard to get back on plan; why????? Why, when we feel so much better eating right. Those carbs are so addictive; they have such a stronghold on us.
![]() But, I know you can do it. I've been cheat free for about 5 days now, and I feel so much better. I remember your comparison pics from last year in your bathing suit. They were very inspirational. You will look as good, or even better this year, Beth, I know it! yeah on no cheats Here to another cheat free day for both of us.![]() |

Hi Phil, Diana, Sue, Jaime, Debra!
Thank you all for visiting me today. I have such wonderful friends! ![]() Phil~Yes, one day at a time....leaves me feeling so overwhelmed at the moment. Diana~Thank you for the compliment and praise. I never get tired of all your support you give me on here. Sue~It does seem to get harder the longer you have been on LC. After the success, comes REAL discipline. Thank you for reminding me about my bathing suit comparison. I was thinking about it the other day. I would really like to look even better this year. Jaime~Thank you for your wishes. I really need one of those weekends. Unfortunately, this weekend will be busy as well. Maybe though it will be peaceful. Debra~I pray they get to feeling better soon too. You know all too well what it is like to have sick children. Yesterday eating was good. Let me see if I can remember what I had.... B~Atkins shake-ended up drinking two. I was so hungry that one didn't do the trick.S~1/2 of regular decaf coffee L~1/2 Wendy's chicken Caesar salad w/o croutons & one pack of dressing & unsweet tea w/ splenda D~Wings & celery w/ ranch D~LC Breyers fudge bar Not too bad except for the LC ice cream. It was certainly better than the boys ice cream cake they got for their birthdays. I caught DH in it last night...bad boy! Well, gotta run out to the store. I plan on fixing Linda Sue's Sausage, Mushroom, and Cream Cheese Chicken Casserole tonight. It will be good on this cold day. |

I got on the scales this morning to check on myself. I have been trying to stay off of them lately. I weighed 135. So, I am still around the same. I felt thinner really.
I am tired this morning. DD seemed to wake up a lot last night. I don't know if her ears were hurting or what. She wanted to be right next to me. So, I didn't get much sleep. It seems when I don't get enough sleep is when the anxiety really shows up. I have been doing so well. I almost forgot what it felt like. This morning there was that pain back in my chest...almost like my heart was racing. It took me a while to figure out what was going on. I took a Xanax and I'm feeling a little better. My casserole turned out great last night. If you haven't tried that recipe, you should. Everyone loved it. I served it with french style green beans ( and applesauce for the kids). I will be making beef stew for tonight. It's so wonderful to be able to cook more now. Our schedule is much better without all the sports going on. Menu from yesterday: B~2 eggs & LC peach yogurt L~Chicken fajitas w/ lettuce, sour cream, and guacamole (water to drink) S~4 squares of Lindt 85% chocolate D~Sausage Mushroom and Cheese Chicken Casserole & french green beans (water) D~1/2 SF strawberry jello I'm not up to counting carbs yet. I am still trying to stay away from anything that would add stress at the moment. I am sure that I did fine yesterday. I am trying to drink more water instead of tea. The chocolate stress came yesterday when I was in Walmart w/ the little ones. DD had one of her meltdowns. By the time we got to the car I reached for the Lindt that I had just bought. I only planned to eat two but ended up eating more later. I've got to work on this emotional eating!!!! My verse for yesterday's emotional eating: Psalms 34:8-9 Taste and see that the Lord is good; blessed is the man who takes refuge in Him. I need to take refuge in the Lord instead of food. I am trying to learn that God can comfort me far more than any food can. |

Oh Beth! I swear we have the same day sometimes, except yours is double!I had DS#1 in bed with me from 4 AM this morning. BOTH DS's had meltdowns in the car today (on the freeway, no less!). We're all lucky to be alive! I have to say, your menu looks fantastic, and your weight is holding tight. Last weeks "off plan" meals are a distant memory, and you are right where you need to be. For a good nights sleep! (For everyone in the house!) |

Morning Beth.
![]() Hope you got a good night's sleep last night. Like Deb said, your menu does look good. I wouldn't worry about the chocolate. It is so low in carbs and so healthy with the antioxidants and minerals. Your weight holding steady is great. That scripture is great. I need to do that also. |
