I'm sorry everyone. I have been so busy. Thanks for checking up on me. This weekend we had ballgames, and we went to get our pictures taken with Santa. I was so exhausted Sunday after church. Yesterday and today I have been digging through my old pictures trying to find some to send in for my reunion. I had to scan all of them and send them in. It has taken forever. I've also been trying to get ready for my brother who is coming in on Wednesday.

I am doing a little better. Today I felt almost normal. I haven't had to take any Xanax until tonight. Hopefully soon I won't have to take that medicine anymore. My weight has stayed about the same. I do find that my appetite is nearly zilch during the day but in the evenings it picks up. I don't know if that is the medicine or not. I take my medicine every morning. It is different though. I am determined not to let all this affect my weight. I just can't let it.

I still haven't been keeping up with my food journal. I have just been weighing and testing my ketone strips. I actually got to the end of my second journal the other day, so I need to go and pick up another notebook. I know I need to start it up again. I figured with everything else going on with me I just didn't need that pressure.

I have missed everyone. Hope you are all doing well. I will try to get around and check your journals. Take care! Love you all lots!!

We are getting ready for an ice storm. I've got everything we need...even cooked up some food incase the power goes out. It's supose to be here around midnight, around the time my wife gets home from work. As long as she gets home safely it can ice as much as God wants it too! I'm wanting to stay home from work tomorrow. I love winter storms. If the power goes out, no worries. It's cold outside so food won't spoil. Fire up the grill, some candles and the kerosene heater and we are good to go!

Hi everyone! I'm so happy today....my brother comes in tonight! I had a busy day yesterday....cleaning, helping mom decorate, scanning pictures for my reunion, normal kids stuff. I welcomed the energy I felt yesterday.

I kept DS #3 home today because he was coughing. I hope a day of resting will help him get over it. Although the medicine is making him hyper. He has a Christmas program tomorrow night and I want him to be able to attend (and not cough through the whole thing). Can you imagine all the looks I would get from the other moms?

My weight was down to 132.8 this morning! I was very happy about that one! Maybe this medicine will have the opposite effect on me and jump start my weight again. Either way, it is amazing just how much better I feel when my weight is in the 132's. My eating has been good. This is the first time I have ventured off and not counted every carb on paper. I feel good that I have been able to do it.

DH has his physical today. I hope he still gets a good report. Last physical his doctor was very happy with his progress. He has been slipping here and there. I think he has put back on a few pounds. We will see today. I'm just concerned that his cholesterol may come back high like mine. But there again it just might be me. I will let you know.

The weather here in GA is very warm. It has been in the mid to upper 70's. I took the kids to the park the other day. It feels crazy. I am ready for it to get back cold again. We can't have a warm Christmas!

Guess what?!!! I am lower than my siggy this morning. I weighed 131 this morning! Can you believe it? I am tickled pink! My hope is being restored. Maybe my stress has been what has held me back in my weight loss! Right now I am 6 pounds from goal! Please pray that this weight loss continues and I can finally get to the goal I have been working so hard to get to for over a year now.

DS went to school today. I hope he didn't start coughing. He has his program tonight so I will judge how he feels later this afternoon.

My brother got in last night. His plane was 38 minutes late. We had dinner cooked for them when they got in. My parents and he stayed over past 11:00 last night. He went home with them. I will probably see him Friday night.

Gotta run. I am running late getting ready. I will talk to everyone later this afternoon.

I read this and I thought I would share it with all of you....




Dancing With God



When I meditated on the word Guidance,

I kept seeing "dance" at the end of the word.

I remember reading that doing God's will is a lot like dancing.

When two people try to lead, nothing feels right.

The movement doesn't flow with the music,

and everything is quite uncomfortable and jerky.

When one person realizes that, and lets the other lead,

both bodies begin to flow with the music.

One gives gentle cues, perhaps with a nudge to the back

or by pressing lightly in one direction or another.

It's as if two become one body, moving beautifully.

The dance takes surrender, willingness,

and attentiveness from one person

and gentle guidance and skill from the other.

My eyes drew back to the word Guidance.

When I saw "G: I thought of God, followed by "u" and "i".

"God, "u" and "i" dance."

God, you, and I dance.

As I lowered my head, I became willing to trust

that I would get guidance about my life.

Once again, I became willing to let God lead.



My prayer for you today is that God's blessings

and mercies be upon you on this day and every day.

May you abide in God as God abides in you.

Dance together with God, trusting God to lead

and to guide you through each season of your life.

Just jumping in here real quick to say hello and that I am still alive. My schedule has been crazy and it's not going to get any better this week.

My weight has been doing great. I am up a little this morning (132.6) but still staying in the low 130's. That is quite OK with me right now.

I have two "parties " this week and then we leave to go to NC this Friday until Monday.

My medicine is having a hard time keeping up with all the running around but thank the Lord I have it. I can't imagine how bad it would be without it.

I will try to get back on here later to post some more pictures and get around to every one's journals. Missing everyone! Gotta run for now!

Isn't this a crazy time of year? We are really trying to take it easy right now after the last few weeks that we've had, but in the midst of all this DH is looking for a new car for himself and is going to sell DD his car.

My mom leaves for NC on Wednesday and she'll be there for almost a month. She's really looking forward to it as she hasn't been out for so long since my dad was so sick.

I wanted to check in with everyone before I left town. Today is very busy packing and such. We will be back Christmas Eve and celebrate Christmas at home.

I know my weight is up just a little. I haven't weighed in two days but I can feel it. We went out 3 times this week with friends. I think I will be glad when all this celebrating is over to tell you the truth. I am trying to watch myself but sometimes I find myself tasting something before my mind catches up and says, "WHAT ARE YOU DOING?". I am trying to give myself a break because overall I have done really well this season.

Well, I will talk to everyone Christmas Eve. Have a fabulous weekend. Here are some more pictures!
