I have to take two of my kids to the doctor this morning. My DS #2's back has been hurting now for 3 weeks. I am sure he has just overworked it with all the practicing. But I still want to have him seen. Then, last night DS#3 turned over the iron on his hand. He burned the top of 3 fingers and a little bit on the top of his hand. It looks pretty good this morning but I want the doctor to look at it. So, it will be a while before I will get back on to post. Hope everyone had a great weekend. Look forward to talking with all of you soon.

Good morning! Thank you all for checking up on me. You are so special! We had such a busy weekend.
Sorry I was MIA this weekend and yesterday. The boys won the basketball tournament and received a large trophy! I was very proud of them. I got to see the last game. Sat. morning I went to a women's conference. I really enjoyed it. They had plenty of temptations but I didn't venture off very far. Sunday we went to church and the rest of the day I spent trying to get caught up with various things. I spent yesterday taking the kids to the doctor and taking care of them and the house. I felt really tired and wiped out. The doctor diagnosed DS#3 with 2nd degree burns on his hands. We have to put this special cream on it and keep it wrapped up. So far the wrapping last about an hour and then DS manages to have it mysteriously fall off his hand. It's driving me nuts! DS #2 got X-rays of his back/hip and we are waiting on the radiologist to look at them. The doctor didn't see anything alarming but did have one question on there so we will wait to see what the other one says. Meanwhile, he is having to rest it and not play. We have another game today so he is disappointed that he won't get to play. My eating has been fairly well. I have just been eating a little more than I should. I have kept up with my menus but been a little slack with totaling my carb counts. I will start today with posting them again. My weight has gone up to 134 in the past few days and stayed there. I am praying this week I can get it back down. Hopefully it is just due to my hormones. Menu from yesterday: B~2 eggs(1.2), bacon(0)=1.2 L~Hardee's-LC burger (burger, cheese, lettuce, tomato, pickle, onion, mayo)=4 S~Protein shake (almond milk & pp)=3 S#2~Blueberry LC yogurt w/ flax=3 D~Spicy chicken(2), sm. amt. of broc. & squash(1), salad (lettuce only)(1), ranch(2)=6 D~LC ice cream bar(3), lindt chocolate(2.5)=5.5 T~22.7 + several pks. of splenda throughout the day Ketone stick this morning: trace Water yesterday: 48oz. maybe a little more Exercise yesterday: none Fat %: 32.7 Water %: 46.7 I have some more to say but I will post it next so I don't lose any of what I have already typed! |

Your poor boys. DS#3 reminds me of my youngest DS. I'm sure his wrappings would mysteriously fall off also, always with a great excuse.
Kids are so funny.Hope you have a relaxing day today. Sounds like you need some rest after your busy weekend. Congrats to your boys on winning their tournament. Very exciting for them.Get some rest, my dear. ![]() |

One of the other reasons I have been absent here is that I have just been going through some things personally. It really doesn't have to do with anyone else but me. I have just been in deep thought and when you are in that state you just feel like being by yourself.
One of my struggles has been really understanding what my purpose here on earth and what God has planned for me. I understand that he has given me four beautiful children to pour into but is that all? Some days I feel like I am just going through the motions and not making any difference in my life. I know we have to live in this world and that requires participating in the mundane things of life. Sometimes they just get too mundane. It causes me to ask the questions: what is the point and what is the purpose? God has a funny way of speaking to me sometimes. This morning while I was looking at my calendar to make sure I wasn't missing any appointments, birthdays, or plans I happen to look up and read what was at the top. My mom gives me a new calendar every Christmas. They are beautiful calendars...some Thomas Kindcaid....other ones with scriptures...every year different but beautiful. Well, I have to admit that this was the first time I had even read the top and it is November. Shame on me because God was speaking and I just wasn't paying attention. So I want to share with you what my calendar has said for this year. It is so fitting and hitting right at home for me at this moment. It is called "Just Think" and written by Roy Lessin. Read it and be blessed! Just Think Roy Lessin Just think, you’re here not by chance, but by God’s choosing. His hand formed you and made you the person you are. He compares you to no one else-you are one of a kind. You lack nothing that His grace can’t give you. He has allowed you to be here at this time in history to fulfill His special purpose for this generation. Some people would have us believe that the universe and everything in it happened by chance. The Bible tells us that the universe was formed by our Creator God. Everything that God created was for a purpose-nothing is here by random selection or by unpredictable chance. John 1:3 NKJV What could be sweeter or dearer than to know that no one is nearer to your heart, your soul, or your deepest desires than the One who created you? His caring eyes are upon you, His protecting hands are over you, and His assuring voice speaks to you, “I have made you. You are mine.” Psalms 139:13 NIV God’s Word says that when a child is conceived, God is present, forming the life of that child. He has been involved in your life from its very beginning. Long before you knew your mother’s loving touch, God was there in perfect love watching over you. Psalms 139:16 NIV There is never a time when you are not in His thoughts, close to His side, and near to His heart. His presence in you life is not a small thing or a big thing-it is everything. Psalms 139:17-18 NIV In His great generosity, God has given to you freely, bountifully, and joyfully. He has given you the finest, the highest, the deepest, and the fullest measure of His love. All that He has given He will continue to give to you all the days of you life. Zephaniah 3:17 NIV God is the source of all creativity. He made only one “you.” He didn’t use a mold to form you-He used His hands, and He will never use His hands in exactly the same way again. The plans God has for you and the things He will do through you will never be duplicated. Jeremiah 29:11 NIV God was the one who formed you, gave you the breath of life, and brought you into the world. He did this so that His arms could embrace you and His love could keep you. He loves you completely. You never need to earn His love. There has never been a time when you were without His love. Jeremiah 31:3 NKJV God knows you best, and He knows best how to fulfill His purpose and plan for you life. He will not fail you. As you look to Him, always remember that He is looking out for you. You can be assured that above you are His tender mercies, around you is His unfailing love, and underneath you are His everlasting arms. Deuteronomy 33:27 NIV When God made you, He didn’t expect you to make it through life on you own. He made you to know Him, to enjoy Him, and to look to Him for all you need. He didn’t make you for failure or defeat. He wants to live His life in you-a life of righteousness, peace, and joy. John 17:3 NKJV Through grace, God will give to you over and over again. Because His supply is abundant, you will never be without; because His heart is full, you will never be empty; because His resources are endless, you will never lack any good thing. 11 Corinthians 9:8 KJV There is no reason to wish you had been born at a different time in history. You have been born at the perfect time. God didn’t make any mistakes concerning you. God is almighty and He will bring to pass His purposes for your life. God has everything that is needed to see that it is done. He will do it perfectly, in the perfect way, at the perfect time-He will work through your hands, speak through your voice, and love others through your heart. 11 Samuel 22:31 NKJV Always remember, when God made you He did so with a purpose and a plan. His hand has remained upon you to this very day. He calls you by name. You are His beloved child…the apple of His eye…the delight of His heart. Today you are in the exact place He wants you to be, and tomorrow He will be with you as He has always been-in goodness, in kindness, in faithfulness, in love. Psalms 33:11 NIV There is never a time when you are not in His thoughts, close to His side, and near to His heart. His presence in your life is not a small thing or a big thing-it is everything. |

![]() I have been where you have been, and I wonder if we start to re-think our lives when we feel a little "trapped." I felt trapped when I was in my late 30s. I had a college degree, have traveled a lot, here in the states and abroad, have taught at college level, had so many experiences, but here I was taking care of babies and stuck at home. I felt so useless. But the Lord really had to speak to me and let me know that at that point in my life, I was fulfilling his purpose for me. I was being a wife to my DH, I was being a mother to my children, and that was the most important thing right then. I realized as they got older and I had more freedom, I could branch out and do more for others. But, I was where I was supposed to be. I don't know if that helps you at all, but just wanted you to know that being with your little ones, taking care of them, loving them, and showing them God's love through your love, is the most important calling you have as a mother. It's very hard sometimes, especially when it seems that you're doing a lot of it by yourself while DH is working. Those are beautiful scriptures that the Lord had planned for you today.

Thank you Sue. Your words of wisdom were so beautifully spoken. They comfort my heart. You are such a wonderful friend. I know that it wasn't by chance that God put you in my life. I am thankful to Him for that! I hope that I can be a blessing to you like you have been to me all these months. God bless you and your family!!! ![]() |

Beth,
Thanks so much for taking the time to post the beautiful scriptures and thoughts. It touched me deeply. It is a blessing to know that we all share the same feelings, and that sense of loneliness that can overtake us sometimes...it helps to be reminded that we have friends and GOD who take our journey beside us. Peace |

Beth and Seb,
I was truly blessed by your posts today. We all have a "devine purpose", that HE has ordained for each one of us. Mines may be this and yours may be that. Let's enjoy the purpose that HE has destined for our lives, as we know that HE loves us and knows what is best . |

Thank you Sue, Jaime, Deb, Godsbeloved, and Monet! Your kind words inspire me and lift me up! Isn't that part of all of our callings to lift up our sisters in Christ and encourage and love one another? Looks like we all fulfilled part of our calling yesterday here.
![]() Well, we didn't win our ballgame last night. That team was a beast. I don't think they missed not a single basket. We have more games on Saturday so they will have another opportunity to build their confidence back up. I ate pretty light yesterday. I still weighed 134 this morning. I will plan on getting more veggies in today. Also, I think I need to be more conscientous about my splenda use. I haven't been counting them. Time to pick my head up and get moving forward. I will be busy with an appointment for DD after lunch. Then I will have to rush back to get the boys since they don't have practice. I must do something about this house as well. I want to get some exercise in sometime late this afternoon....busy day like always. We had a very large loss come in yesterday that we are waiting on the adjuster to give the go ahead on. A trucking company had one of their trucks catch on fire in their building. Please pray that we get this job! It will make a world of difference in our business financially. Good morning Beth.
I hope the boys don't feel too bad about the game yesterday. I just joined a challenge on the challenge called Busting Through a Brick wall, or something like that. Want to join us? I know we've both been struggling with getting through this supposed "set point." that your business gets this job.![]() |

I will have to make this quick. I have waited until the last minute to post before getting DS.
I finally got back in deep ketosis this morning. Some would say that it doesn't matter what color the sticks are but I say it does. I can tell a big difference in my energy and appetite when the sticks are darker. It is encouragement to me too. My weight went down this morning 133.2. ![]() We got some rain last night. If anyone is following our crisis in Georgia you will know just how important that was! It was so nice to hear the rain on the roof and listen to the thunder. Today we have lots of wind. I dread getting out in it...cold & windy.I have some things to share about what I have been reading in my "Chocolate" book. I don't have to do it now but look for it later. Menu from yesterday: B~Spinach protein shake w/ almond milk=3.3 L~Cheesesteak omelet(2), 3 bacon(0), coffee w/ HNH(1)=3 S~LC blueberry yogurt=3 D~Salad(3), ranch(3), chopped sirloin(0), mushrooms(1), couple of broc. florets(.5)=7.5 D~Made up dessert...kinda like fudge(don't ask for the recipe )=3T~19.8 Ketone stick this morning: moderate Water yesterday: 72oz.
