Sorry for the late post today. Yes, I was with my friend but we were helping out our business in the detail department. We had a move-out from a house fire so we were cleaning items all day. She and I used to do this full time years ago. It was like old times and we were making money!

I got so frustrated yesterday after I weighed that I decided to take 1/4 of a diuretic (which isn't much). I think it worked some plus eating low carbs again. I weighed 132.8 this morning. I am not stuck on this holding since I ate Linda's LC pizza tonight ,but I did feel better today. I hate to rely on things like that and I don't do it very often but it's like the "plumbing department" when you got to do something about it you've got to do something.

Hope everyone had a great day. I missed talking with all of you.

Menu from yesterday:

B~Green shake=5
S~Arizona Green tea= .5
L~Wendy's Bun-less Baconator (I KNOW....DON'T GET ON TO ME!!)=4
D~Salad(3), ranch(3), chopped sirloin(0), mushrooms(1), broccoli().8)=7.8

T~17.3

Ketone stick this morning: small
Water yesterday: 85oz.
Exercise yesterday: running around

Sounds like a fun day with your friend - visiting and making money.

Hey, I don't think there's anything wrong with the baconator! I had one last week and thoroughly enjoyed it and didn't feel guilty. There's nothing wrong with all that fat and calories every once in a while. Now I'm getting hungry.

NOTE: POST FOR FRIDAY (since I'm actually posting so late it's really after midnight...sorry)

Last night was one of those rough nights. First of all, I stayed up like an idiot talking with my friend until 1:30. Then, about 5am DD woke up with a sour stomach and threw up for 2 hours. Thank the Lord that is all it was as evident by she was fine after sleeping some more.

So, I ended up sleeping until the last possible moment this morning (deserting my awesome friends here) in order to get ready. We left and went to get DS, had lunch with DH, and did some shopping the rest of the day, followed by dinner at Outbacks. It was a good but tiring day. I did find some size 6 jeans and a nice jacket to go with one pair of the jeans. So this girl has still got it going on even though my weight says differently. Honestly, I really think something is wrong with my scales. DH put a new battery in them just over a week ago but they are kinda flickering when you get on them. I told DH tonight that we were just going to have to buy one of those fancy scales everyone talks about on here. I have no idea how much they cost but I WANT ONE(and they better not give me some higher number either!)!! Oh, and by the way, so you don't think I am crazy....my scales read 3 pounds heavier this morning putting me at 135.8.....I DON'T THINK SO!!!!!

Tomorrow my friend will be leaving around lunch. We may go to a festival nearby....Just plan to get caught up and do better with my eating. Sue, you are really challenging me with your perfect menus.

Menu from yesterday:

B~2 eggs(1.2), bacon(.2)=1.4
L~Zaxby's grilled chicken salad w/o onions(4), ranch(4)=8
D~3 squares of Linda's Deep Dish pizza(6), salad(3), ranch(1)=10
D~Cheesecake pudding(4) w/ strawberries & blueberries(2)=6

T~25.4 + splenda intake (?)

Ketone stick this morning: small
Water yesterday: lots
Exercise: worked and very active

Thanks Monet for the cheers...haven't had time yet to research but I will let you know.

Our friends just left so I am finally able to post for today. My scales were consistent to yesterday but down some. It read 134.4. I still think it is wrong , but for now I will just have to rely on what I have until I can find the other one.

I don't know what we have planned for the rest of the day....relaxation I hope. So tired from this week. I was really running everywhere all week long. The kids are out of school Mon/Tues. and then Wed. we are traveling to TN for DH to speak to corporate. It is a really BIG thing for him. He wanted me and the older boys to go with him to hear him speak. I am a little nervous but excited too about what doors this is going to open for him. We will be back Thurs. night late. It's funny now how I am so used to traveling with this WOE that I'm not nervous in the least. It really had become a WOL for me.

Menu from yesterday:

B~Flax seed muffin(2.6), w/ CC & DS(1)= 3.6
L~Baked chicken breast w/ onions(1) & mushrooms(.5), mayo(.2), salad(2), ranch(2)=5.7
S~few macadamia nuts= .5
D~Outback Steakhouse-Ahi tuna w/ dipping sauce(1), salad(4), steak(0),lobster tail(0), butter(0), broccoli(1.7)=8.7
D~Cheesecake pudding(3), with blueberries(1), coffee w/ HC(.8)=4.8

T~22.8

Ketone stick this morning: large
Water yesterday: over 100 oz.
Exercise yesterday: walking EVERYWHERE

Beth~I think you need new scales. If you are fitting into a size 6, your weight can't be going up.

Hope you're able to get some rest today. Sounds like you need it. If my headache goes away, I may shop for some new clothes today.

How exciting about DH's speaking opportunity. I'm sure you'll do fine on your trip. How about making Revolution Rolls and taking them along so you can buy burgers and put them in the rev rolls?

Sue~that is a fabulous suggestion. I will make sure I make some on Monday. We have a 5 1/2 hour trip and they would be good as a snack as well. Thanks for the suggestion.
I think you are right about the scales. I was really pumped to find out that I was still in a size 6. It totally changed my mood from the morning weigh in. Although it was so ridiculous with the reading that it was easy not to believe the numbers.

I was about to tell my sister when I was on the phone with her today that I needed my scale back so I could know what kind of a mood I needed to be in every morning.

Those size 6 clothes are a sure sign that you're still losing

I am really wiped out today. Whatever has been working on me hasn't left yet. My voice is really hoarse. I have been just trying to rest today. The scales stayed the same as yesterday. So, that puts me at a .4 loss for this week. Whatever. What's the point of weighing anyway when you can't trust your scales. Just wanted to report in and go back to bed.

Menu from yesterday:

B~2 slices of crustless quiche(5-egg, sausage, cheese, cream), coffee w/ HC(.5)=5.5
S~couple of spoonfuls of cheesecake pudding(1.5)=1.5
L & D~Salad(4), ranch(2), Mahi Mahi topped with crab meat & cream sauce(5)=11
D~2 squares of Lindt chocolate=2.5
L~1 cup of chocolate CCD milk=4

T~24.5

Ketone stick this morning: trace
Water yesterday: didn't keep track but had a lot of tea
Exercise: none

Looks like I had a little bit of a sweet tooth yesterday. I think I was just stressed and not feeling well. The cheesecake pudding is gone.....finally. Maybe I can do better now that I don't have any goodies made up.

Beth~I hope you are feeling better today. That cheesecake pudding really is evil. It's so good, but when I made it, it was all I could think about. Your lunch/dinner sounds wonderful. Did you make it, or were you out to eat?

Sue~We were out to eat at a local restaurant here. It was in the top five most delicious seafood dishes I have ever had. Very tender. The only thing is that I didn't ask about the cream sauce on top. I wish I had so I could make it at home. It was similar to a Alfredo but a little different. Maybe I will call them and ask.

I am feeling a little better today. My voice is still hoarse and my back hurts this morning. I hope it's because I am in dire need of a bathroom trip and not something to do with my kidneys. Either way....lots of water today.

Scales were up this morning (135.2). I am not surprised. I was SO BAD yesterday. I felt terrible and just didn't care. Everything I ate wasn't really off plan but just high in carbs and more volume than normal. My dinner choice was the highest in carbs as you will see.

The kids are out of school today and tomorrow. Then on Wed. we will travel to TN. It will be a busy week. Pray for DH as he prepares for his conference. He will be speaking to some high rank people on Principals of Success. I am nervous for him. I know he will be fantastic though. I am just a nervous person when it comes to big things like this....I hate speaking in front of others so I feel his pain.

Menu from yesterday:

B~Green shake=7
L~Boars Head turkey slices(0), nuts(3)=3
S~Cheese "crackers"=2
D~Wendy's taco salad=22
D~LC Rocky Road Ice cream(8), coffee w/ regular french vanilla cream(5)=13

T~47

Ketone stick this morning: negative...of course!
Water yesterday: maybe 64oz.
Exercise: slept most of the day

Just as a precaution to others...always check the carb counts online before ordering when out to eat. I thought the taco salad at Wendy's was lower(like 12) in carbs than 22. I knew it had beans but didn't realize it would be that bad. Also, on the french vanilla creamer, I thought it was SF. It was my mistake. I had bought it when I had company over and didn't look at it until after I poured it in my coffee. By then, I was in a mood already and didn't care.

Good reminder, Beth. I remember when I went to Wendy's and got the BLT Salad, thinking it was maybe 8 carbs. Nope, it is 18 carbs! But still, beans are good for you, and they are next on the OWL ladder after fruit, I believe. I want to start incorperating them in, if I can. Maybe find some recipes that are meatless with beans and do those once a week. They are so high in fiber and actually decent in protein! Besides, it will give me a lot more choices for dinners with the LC tortillas.

Speaking of smaller jeans, First of all, that ROCKS that you are in a size 6! Woo Hoo! I bought some new jeans the other day, too, and I guess I am STILL thinking I am bigger than I am, besides the fact that I thought since I am not bieng strict right now that I would HAVE to have gotten bigger...well, I grabbed a pair of 10, thinking that's all I would fit into. I tried on a pair of black dress pants, too (which I have to go back and get this week, since they weren't on sale last week) and low and behold, the 10's were too big. I was a nice size 8 in both pairs of pants! And last time I bought new jeans, I was happy that I FIT into a 10, remember? Maybe after I have run consistently for a few weeks, even *I* will fit into 6's! I bet you're hot in them, too

Good Morning Beth,

WTG with fitting those size 6 jeans . My prayers for your DH as he speaks at the conference. He will do well .

I know what you mean about those fast food salads. I have to watch myself at McDonalds. I love their bacon ranch salad, but the Ranch dressing is very high in carbs.

Have a great LC day !

Well, there are always going to be those high carb days. Ignore that scale. Or even better, buy a new one.

If you get the recipe for that cream sauce, pass it along if it's LC.

Hope the water helps with your problem.

Will be praying for your DH as he prepares for this speech.

Feel better, friend.

Krysta~That's awesome about the size 8 jeans! Like everyone has said to me....who cares about the scales when you are fitting in a smaller size pair of jeans! As far as beans go, I miss them only a tiny bit...mainly in chili...I used to love black beans and rice but now that I don't eat rice I don't know how I would like them by themselves. I don't think the cauliflower could substitute on this one.

godsbeloved~Oh, I never eat that McDonald's dressing. We need to complain and ask them to get with the program on dressings. They are probably concentrating on the fat instead of sugar.

Sue~You are really helping me with my scale dilemma! My scales going crazy has really forced me to stop relying on them. I hate not knowing though. It is quite funny that I can usually tell what I am going to weigh in the morning just by feeling my belly. This morning the scales said 134.8......I was thinking 132.8. I really think that it is 2-3 pounds off.

I don't have much time this morning. I have to pack for tomorrow....clean house....get the kids lunch....and then get the boys over to the school to leave for their cross-country race. Me and the little ones will have to find something to do for an hour and then we will leave to go to the race. This is their last race for the season. We will be eating with the team afterwards. They said something about going to Moe's. I have never been there. I will have to look on the Internet to see if there is anything I can eat. If any of you have been there let me know. I suspect it is "fast food". More than likely we will be getting in late. So, I must get everything ready to leave this morning! Yikes!

Menu from yesterday:

B~Chocolate protein shake (nothing fancy this time...just homemade)=4
L~Homemade taco salad=4
S~Slimfast LC shake(I wanted something sweet and chocolate...best choice)=2
D~Homemade Parmesan chicken strips(3), very sm. amt. of green beans(.5), squash casserole(squash, egg, cream, cream of mushroom, cheese-3)=7.3
D~coffee w/ HC(.8), LC yogurt (3)w/ 1/4 cup of All Bran(3)=6.8

T~23.3

Ketone strip this morning: trace (back in!)
Water yesterday: 68 oz.
Exercise yesterday: lifted weights-1 pound

My voice sounds better this morning. I took some Sudafed before bed. I was still feeling bad last night. I was really dizzy. Something has definitely been working on me.

Dearest Beth!!

I just got caught up in your journal. I have missed your cheerful voice these past weeks. Size 6??? You rock! Throw the evil, WRONG scale out the window girl

I am having trouble re-focusing myself, so I very much appreciate your menus!

Best wishes to DH and his speaking engagement! Have a wonderful trip!

I have missed you Jaime. It is hard to get back on track strict after a vacation. For one you are used to eating out and tasting all this delicious food. My cooking just doesn't compare. Just do the very best you can every day. You will find that it won't be long and you can get back disciplined with your eating. Maybe really focus on getting some exercise while you get caught up with the eating. I love the new profile picture! Your children are precious!

Just a quick note before we leave for TN. My weight was down on my crazy scales this morning. I weighed 132.8.

Every thing went OK with the trip to Moe's last night after the race. They had fajitas! They were yummy too. Last night was the last of the races. Our school ended up bringing home two first place trophies and several metals. We were proud.

I'm still not feeling right. Please pray for me. I have just been feeling dizzy. I upped my vitamins in hopes that there is something I am lacking and it will fix the problem. Also, be in prayer for DH tomorrow as he gives his presentation. Thank you!

Menu from yesterday:

B~Protein shake~4.3
S~Leftover Parmesan chicken strips(2)=2
L~Hamburger pattie(0), lettuce/onion/mayo(3)=3
S~4 animal crackers...feeling really shaky=4
D~Moe's Southwest Grill-Steak fajitas, 1 chip, queso=8

T~21.3

Ketone stick this morning: trace
Water yesterday: didn't keep track
Exercise: lots of walking at race
