Let me know if you figure something out. I'm lost.

I found a Parasite cleanse that I had bought a couple of months ago and stashed. I thought I would go ahead and do it. I started yesterday. We will see if this will help any. Who knows. I will just love it if it helps me go to the bathroom. So far...NOTHING!

Good Morning !

Thanks for the advice. Just viewing your before and after pics keeps me going. I didn't gain it over night and I don't expect to lose it over night. I'm being patient with my body and weightloss. Day after day, I can see myself eating this way for life. I'm checking out recipes and getting more creative with my meals. Thanks again .

godsbeloved~This is why I started this journal. I want to help others see that it is really a process. You don't lose the weight over night. It takes much sweat and tears to get there. I can tell you though it is worth it all! I too will get to goal. Thanks for reminding me of some things. Happy LC-ing!

PS. I just saw a link in your signature...my place....do you have a journal???? If so, I am going to check it out!

I have only a few minutes to make a journal entry. My mom is here and we are going out for the day. I stayed the same this morning...134. My eating wasn't the best yesterday. We ended up eating out both lunch and dinner. At least I exercised yesterday morning. I don't have much hope for doing well this week. I started out the week weighing 132.2. Looks like I will end up gaining weight this week unless there is a miracle!

Menu from yesterday:

B~Protein shake
L~Sonny's BBQ-salad, ranch, sliced pork, fried okra (really wanted some so I ordered it )
S~Nuts & Green tea
D~Old Mill-Salad, ranch, crab-stuffed mushroom, bite of bread w/ butter, steak, asparagus, bite of mama's fish, bite of dad's ribs, bite of bro's tenderloin... What can I say...we like to share!
D~2 squares of Lindt chocolate

T~I really don't care...can you tell it's TOM time?

Ketone stick this morning: forgot to test
Water yesterday: plenty
Exercise: Denise Austin on TV....worked my legs and behind....sore this morning!!!

Hi Beth! I enjoy reading your journal daily, I do not always have the time to post (4 kids, 14,6,2,and 7month) but I never miss it. Even when you gain a SMALL amount of weight, it is so nice to see how you do not allow it to affect you in a negative way....today I cheated on my diet (sons bday) but I did not beat myself up about it, it happens, tommorrow it will not!! Thanks!!

Jennifer~Thank you for your support and encouragement. It means a lot to me. I think you are perfectly legit with cheating a little on your son's birthday. What really matters is how we eat afterwards you know.

Well, I really hope this is the last day of climbing with my weight. I don't think I can bear it if it gets any worse. I weighed 134.8 this morning. I was really "low carb bad" last night. My parents and brother were over yesterday for the Georgia game and we grilled and hung out. Later, we rented a movie (We are Marshall...VERY GOOD). This month has hit me about the hardest I have seen it since I started LC. All I know is that I am ready for it to end and get back to normal. I am really considering doing Induction levels next week. I feel so miserable today.

Menu from yesterday:

B~Eggs(1.8), bacon(.2)=3
L~LC yogurt(3), Nuts(2)=5
D~Homemade Turkey Lettuce Burger w/ tomato, cheese, onion, LC ketchup, mayo, mustard(5), Bunless hot dog w/ T. chili, onion, mayo(3), Mock potato salad(3), collard greens(2)=13
D~1/2 cup LC Rocky Road(4), couple of bites of SF chocolate pudding pie(?)=4 + ?
Movie snack~Endulge bar(2), nuts(4)=6

T~31 + pudding

Ketone stick this morning: large
Water yesterday: didn't keep track
Exercise yesterday: 1.5 mile weight loss challenge on treadmill (very sore today)

Good morning everyone! Hope you had a fabulous weekend! I am starting to feel better. The scales started to come back down for me this morning. I weighed 133.6 . That's a 1.2 pound loss from yesterday. I tried to go light with my eating yesterday. The thought occurred to me yesterday that maybe when TOM time comes around that I should jump back to Induction levels (including the chocolate of course) to see if I can counteract the gain. Maybe next month I might just start it around the 3rd and see what happens. It might just make it worse as far as cravings go. Trial and error, right?

I said goodbye to my brother yesterday. He is flying out right now even as I type. Miss him already. We had a good visit. I probably won't see him again until either Thanksgiving or Christmas. I would love to be at goal next time I see him.

I don't know if anyone has been reading all these threads about Fawn's shake, but I have. They seem so high in carbs but people that have been stalled are starting to lose on them. Recently I have started making my own and adding spinach (since giving up Atkins shakes...except for yesterday morning when I didn't have time to grab anything else before church) Last night I didn't want anything heavy, so I made one with spinach and broccoli slaw. You couldn't tell AT ALL that the veggies were in there. I'm gonna try this for a little while and see what happens. Besides, the shakes are so yummy! Also, for me I am going to try to eat close to Induction levels this week to get back down to 130.

Menu from yesterday:

B~Atkins shake=2
L~Chicken wings(0), hot sauce(2), salad(3), ranch(2)=7
S~Carbsmart Ice cream bar =3
D~Version of Fawn's shake-CCD milk(4), LC blueberry yogurt(3), 1/4 cup frozen blueberries(3), 1/2 cup spinach(0), 1/2 cup broccoli slaw(3)=13

T~25

Ketone stick this morning: small
Water yesterday: at least 64 oz. and maybe more
Exercise yesterday:

I've read about the shake, but it just sounds so gross. May have to give it a try in a little while. I haven't kept up with the threads on it, so maybe sometime this week I will.

Glad your weight was down today. I'm going back to strict induction to try and get rid of cravings and get my mind where it should be with this.

You really need to try it. I promise...you can't taste the veggies. I also add a little sweetener to it...davinci's, splenda, or fiberfit. Start out with a small amount and see. You are being very smart getting back to Induction levels...it's the only way to get rid of those cravings (besides getting amnesia ).

Sue~I think I saw a Magic Bullet at Walmart yesterday. You might want to check there.

Monet~Here is what I put in my shake. I start out with either some Calorie Countdown milk (1 cup) or Unsweetened Almond Breeze or even just water and little heavy cream. Then, I add one scoop of vanilla or chocolate protein powder. I add handful of raw spinach, 1/2 cup or so of broccoli slaw, some fruit, and sweetener. You can play with it depending on what flavor shake you want. Like if you did chocolate, you may want to add a T. of peanut butter. I think the main thing is getting your veggies in there.

Hey....nobody thought what I listed as my exercise was funny yesterday? No comments on it...zilch! I thought I would get a .

Well, I don't know what to report this morning. The first time I got on the scales it read 133 this morning. Which I felt was right since I did feel thinner. I also seemed to lose a lot of fluid yesterday by evidence of having to take SO many trips to the bathroom. Then, like an idiot, I got back on and it read 134.2. I can't get it to read anything else now. So, I will have to judge it by tomorrow's weigh in. I can't stand when it does that!

DH was gone last night on a trip. He is teaching a class today over in SC. I had to get up early and drive the kids to school. It wasn't as bad as I thought it would be. I thought that DD would be grumpy since I had to wake her up and put her in the car. She was a trouper. When we got back home, I just put her in my bed and she is still sleeping. I wish I was there too. I always stay up too late when DH isn't here. I always fight with wanting to snack too. I think I did fairly well with my menu yesterday. I wouldn't call it Induction though. Hopefully I will do better today.

Menu from yesterday:

B~Protein Green shake-Water, PP(1), 1/4 cup HC(.8), 2 cups spinach(.4), 1/2 cup broccoli slaw(3), flax seed meal, 1/2 cup LC strawberry yogurt(1.5), 1/4 cup strawberries(1.8), DS=8.5
L~Sm. salad(2), ranch(1), sm. steak covered w/ provolone cheese(.6), grilled onions(1), mushrooms(.5)=5.1
D~Leftovers-Hamburger(0), lettuce leaf(0), tomato(.5), onion(1), LC ketchup(1), mustard(.2), mayo(.3), mock potato salad(2), few bites of collards(1)-6
L~Homemade hot chocolate-1 cup almond breeze(1), 2 squares of Lindt(2.5), fiberfit=3.5

T~23.1 (+ splenda counts in tea at lunch)

Ketone stick this morning: moderate
Water yesterday: 80oz.
Exercise: 80 sit-ups, 20 leg exercises

Monet~OK, I didn't think of that one on the exercise. I just thought I was a little on the creative side and would get a reaction. I know what you mean about the computer. We have the same set up....in our bedroom. He is a computer junkie too (mostly work though) so he can't say too much. Last night though was just TV...got caught up in a late movie and didn't want to turn it off. Guess I will pay for it later today. Well, off to get some breakfast. Sometimes my journal is more important than food. My stomach is winning right now though.

Morning Beth! Sorry I have been absent lately. Will will be home in a week and a half and I'm just trying to get all my last minute things done around the house and in the yard. I haven't tried broccoli in my shakes yet, because I thought raw broccoli would be too fiberous. I never thought to start with broccoli slaw! Thats a great idea! Next time I go shopping, I will get some specifically to put in my shakes and let you know what I think! That really stinks that your scale is playing mind tricks on you! Hopefully tomorrow you are 132.something!
