Your guys are so cute-especially the little guy! Stress can make you gain and hold water and you got a lot of exercise in last night! Being a mom can be the most wonderful but stressful thing. Luckily I don't have any problems with Dreamfields-maybe give it another try when you aren't so stressed out and busy.

Thanks Lisa! I know you are right. It's just frustrating. I have been so stressed out lately. EVERYTHING has been getting on my nerves (especially the kids). I'm going to try to be as calm as possible today!

Beth~you made me laugh this morning. Thanks. I needed that laugh before I posted a rant in my journal.
![]() What handsome boys you have. I have a very similar mirror as yours. It was my grandmothers and I cherish it! Sorry about the pasta. I think it's a maintenance thing, unfortunately, at least for me. No worries about the weight. It will come down. The pasta does help "move" things. |

I definitely think that all the work you did counts as exercise! I was doing a lot of cleaning and organizing yesterday, too, getting things ready for the movers...vaccuming, emptying and getting rid of boxes, sweeping and mopping...sigh. I'm sure I will be doing plenty more today once the furniture is actually here! Honestly, sometimes I can't even imagine having ONE baby to take care of, also, much less four! AND you've lost 45 pounds! You are a wonder woman!

I HOPE it "moves" things....I'm desperate...feeling stuffed! What's funny about the whole maintenance thing....don't know if I will ever get there....can't even get to pre-maintenance without going up ? I am only 6 pounds from MY first goal (and 11 from where I would love to be). I should already have been there! Oh, the questions that never seem to be answered.

![]() Those boys are the BEST! What a great pic! What angelic faces for such troublemakers! ![]() If it's worth anything, I am sure that stress HAS to burn TONS of calories! LOL I wonder if fitday has a listing for that under excercise! ![]() If you're interested, replacing the lettuce in my salads with raw green cabbage lately has been doing the "trick" for me if you know what I mean. ![]() Krysta hit the nail on the head... you are a wonder woman! Take pride in your accomplishments and relax a little, you deserve it! I say, when all calms down, we leave all kids with DH for a couple of hours, and treat ourselves to a manicure and pedicure. We should all go on the same day! (Sounds so heavenly right now! )

Dear Beth!
What a week! Welcome to Fat Burnin' Friday ![]() Your boys are precious. I LOVE uniforms. My children look so "put together" when they leave for school. It seems organized or something. PLUS, with a 13 year old DD, it's nice to already have the clothes picked out! You are amazing, and we all need to live in the moment, and try to appreciate our accomplishments. It is terrifically hard to do with all of our responsibilities, but it is good for the soul. Hope the scale is your friend today! Hugs |

Debra~Yes, you would never believe if you met all four of my rugrats just how much trouble they could give their mother!
If I could burn calories being stressed out, I would weight nothing right now! Then I could eat anything I wanted! I love cabbage! Maybe I should try to eat some raw. I know when I cook it and eat it I tend to gain the next day. My favorite is hamburger and cabbage with sour cream and Parmesan. ![]() A manicure and pedi sounds divine! I might just have to do that for myself tomorrow morning! I REALLY need it!!! I was having some CRAZY cravings yesterday. I was SO hungry. I did everything I could to get through it. The last thing I needed today was for the scales to go up again. All I could think about was chocolate and salt! I can understand the chocolate cravings...hey, I have them almost daily. but the salt....where did that come from? I haven't added salt hardly to anything since I started LC. Itried to think of something to help me with the chocolate cravings. First thought....Atkins shake....no, can't do it...promised. Then, I was using much restraint to go get one of the Atkins bars/candy.....nope, can't do that either. Finally, I got some Almond Breeze out and added chocolate stevia. It was pretty good and settled me for a couple of hours. After dinner it hit me again. I wanted to make some PMS candies but I was just tired for one and still trying to fight it. I really wanted something chewy or cake-like. After fighting it and even taking a walk, I finally caved into the Lindt. Hey, it's very low in carbs! When I reached for it in the pantry, there was the pb calling me...."Beth, hey I go really good with chocolate!"...."Yes, you do...come with me!" Oh, it was sinful! So, the question on every one's mind is ..... did you gain weight? NOPE! Hallelujah! I weighed 131.2 this morning! Back to Tuesday's weight. Now if I can keep it through the weekend! I started out the week weighing 132. And I sure would like to see 130 again soon! Pray! DH and I are taking out the older boys tonight. Nana(DH's mom) is going to have DS #3 and Mawmaw (my mom) will have DD. I don't know what we will do but I can't wait! Then, tomorrow Nana will bring them back (the grandparents live in the same town) and she will keep all the kids for a few hours for DH and I to have some time together. I am really looking forward to that one! We have been so busy lately that I feel like I haven't seen him all week (almost haven't except for going to bed and getting up). Now, if I could get some pampering in there and someone to finish the housework then it would be a perfect weekend! Ahhhhh Menu from yesterday: B~Strawberry yogurt protein shake (vanilla pp, 1/2 yogurt, 1/3 cup CCD milk, water, 3 strawberries), coffee w/ HC & stevia=5.4 L~Grilled chicken breast(2), salad(3) w/ oil & vinegar, water w/ lemon & splenda(1)=6 S~1 cup Almond Breeze w/ 1 tsp chocolate stevia=1.7 S~slice cheese made into crackers=1 D~2 homemade stuffed mushrooms(3), filing for mushrooms(2), 2 chicken wings(2)=7 D~2 squares Lindt chocolate(2.5), peanut butter(2)=4.5 T~25.6 Ketone stick this morning: small Water yesterday: 64 oz. Exercise: Walk around the neighborhood w/ DH (almost mile) If you like mushrooms, you will love these mushroom appetizers I made last night. It's just large mushrooms, cream cheese, monterey jack cheese, and butter. You take off the stems, chop them up, melt the cream cheese, add the cheddar, take the filling and put them in the caps, add the caps to a baking dish with melted butter and bake. Yummy!!

Way to go on dealing with the chocolate cravings! I usually have the same Lindt 85% & natural pb or make myself a OneMinuteMuffin w/Wonderslim Wondercocoa. I also make my stuffed mushrooms this way but add add Tennesee Pride sausage to them to make it more like an entree. I usually bring this to potlucks or bbq's also-very delicious!

I rushed over here after reading Krysta's journal to see how your weigh-in was today, and happy that you are not up. But, really, was that a cheat? The choc is very low in carbs and the PB is also. So, don't beat yourself up. You made good choices when you were having cravings. That's the best!
Do your rugrats stress you out also? ![]() Actually, I hate to admit it, but there is much less stress around here with one gone. I love DD dearly, but she does have a mind of her own. But, what would we do without our little ones (even though some are not little anymore)? They are the spice of life, that is for sure. How fun to have an evening with the older boys. I'm sure you will come up with something fun to do. And I know you'll savor the time you have with DH tomorrow. ![]()

Krysta~I can't wait until you have lots of date news to report.
You better not disappear on us when he gets home!!! It will be like being newlyweds again. How long have you been married?Lisa~I wanted to put the sausage in them but I didn't have any. I will try them that way next time! I had the flax seed muffin this morning! ![]() Sue~It's when I pick up the bigger boys that things REALLY get stressed out! My two middle sons are at each other throats. You would think a 13 year old would be mature enough not to get into it with a four year old but NO! They constantly irritate each other and I am clueless in how to handle it better. I have lectured until I blue in the face. Every afternoon it is an issue and I end up having a headache afterwards. I do love them though. On the chocolate...I guess I keep it as a cheat so I won't go overboard with it. If I didn't consider it to be that way it might get ugly! I would have one thing listed on my menu and it would count for all 20 carbs! ![]() |

My 15 and 12 year old sons can be at each other's throats, and so can DD and the 15 year old. The neat thing is, though, that they are all very close and can't wait to share good news with each other. I love that. Oldest DS is a provoker, he loves to get a reaction out of the others, so that can lead to problems. Really, though, they are the best kids and I am in awe of how much they bless me each day.

I have a question...
In the DANDR book there are carb counts in the back. Are the carb counts for raw veggies or cooked? Specially wondering about the cabbage. |
