I LOVE your new pic! You look fantastic!

Yaaay for you, getting your excercise in!

Don't let that BMI get you down. They are often unrealistic and don't take other important variables into consideration.

I do like this page, so I can pick and choose which one applies best:
Body Mass Index calculator you'll like

Oh, I made your PMS treat today, and substituted Almond Butter for the PB, and reduced the amount of unsalted butter by about a tablespoon. They came out sooooo good! (I got a great deal on fresh almond butter at farmers market this weekend and wanted to try something new!)

Wow, that is a cool BMI calculator. It is the same BMI for me (24.8) but I like how it shows what percentile you are in comparison to the average weight in the country! I'm 39th percentile. It says if you are 50% then you are close to the average weight, so I am over 10% less than the average weight in the country! Yay! (cause let's be honest...we know that our country is getting more and more overweight with each passing day, so I don't think I would want to be "average weight" in an overweight country!)

It also shows what other women of my size and age feel is the ideal weight (120 lbs) and what the Medical reccomendation is (104 - 137) Anyway, realy interesting. I think I am good with my goal. But like I've always said, I may re-evaluate when I get there. Thanks for posting that link, Debra!

I like that BMI calculator that Debralyn posted.

This is my before and after
32.3 BMI - Obese - 75 percentile
27.6 - overweight - 51 percentile

So happy I'm no longer obese!

Beth, I love the new picture. I like seeing your beautiful face up close.

Debra~that is a cool BMI...thanks for sharing it with us.
Krysta~
Monet~good morning back to you!
Sue~wish you were on Eastern time so you would already be here

The first time I got on the scales this morning early I weighed 130.2! Then, after everyone left I got back on the scales because I just couldn't believe that I weighed that number! When I got back on, I weighed 131.2...over and over again. So, I guess I will go with the second one. Maybe tomorrow I will see 130 again. Nevertheless I lost almost a half pound overnight! Yippee!!

Since I have been cooking at home more I am starting to try all these new recipes. Last night I ended up making Krysta's protein pancakes(w/ chocolate protein powder). I was so in the mood for them. They were so close to the real thing I almost felt guilty for digging into them. I fixed the whole recipe which made 6 pancakes. I'm embarrassed to admit it but I ate all of them. Yummy! I had put a turkey in the crock pot earlier that everyone else ate. It was a little spicy because I accidentally got the Cajun seasoned one(which I had rinsed off but still made it hot). They liked it but I just wasn't in the mood since I had had chicken salad for lunch.

Got some exercise in yesterday. I thought I would see a climb in weight but it was kind to me. Got up this morning and did the Ab Lounger my boys bought. I have got to start working on this tummy of mine. That is where I hold most of my weight. I guess it wouldn't have anything to do with being pregnant 6 times do you think?

I read this weight loss devotion I thought I would share:

2 Timothy 1:7
For God hath not given us the spirit of fear; but of power, and of love, and of a sound mind.

Brenda decided it was time to lose weight, and she did. Peggy struggled a little bit more, but she lost the pounds she wanted to, also. Tracy wondered why everyone else seemed to do so well, while she did so poorly. Maybe something was wrong with her! Maybe she couldn't lose weight. The more she thought about it, the more frightened she became. Often our mind turns out to be our worst enemy when we try to diet. We can alarm ourselves needlessly. Everyone diets differently, and everyone receives different results. There is no place for fear and doubting in dieting. What we need is perseverance and faith that God will help us.

Let's change our mindset and have this thought instead: I have a very skinny spirit!

Menu from yesterday:

B~2 eggs(1.2), 4 bacon(.2), coffee w/ HC(1) & DS=2.4
S~Gouda cheese=1
L~Chicken salad(3), collard greens(2)=5
S~LC vanilla yogurt(3), 1 T. LC peanut butter(2)=5
D~6 protein pancakes(8), SF syrup(0), 1/2 cup CCD milk(1.5)=9.5

T~22.9

Ketone stick this morning: moderate
Water yesterday: 85 oz.
Exercise yesterday: 30 min. 1.5 mile walk/run on treadmill

LOL! I totally laughed when I read that! I think I can handle having a skinny spirit

And see? I told you you wouldn't gain from the pancakes! Even though you take the higher weight (which I do, too) it's always fun to see the lower weight! When that happens, I like to think that my body really WANTS to get to that lower weight, it just fighting with itself to give it up! I bet you will see 130 tomorrow for REAL!

You're going down slowly but surely. I guess eating at home has been a good thing. I do believe that restaurants have so many hidden carbs that can hinder loss. Those pancakes sounds yummy. I have a good recipe for them that I've had for years from a lady that used to post on here that had tons of recipes. I'll have to dig that one out.

I do have a skinny spirit

Sorry, but that also cracked me up when I read it because it's so true. When I weighed around 210 back in 1998, I would look in the mirror and not even recognize the person I saw. It was awful. At least I look more like the real "me" now.

Oh, I hope so!! Thank you ladies for helping me with changing a diet that I had become blind and lacadaisical about. I think the cutting out shakes/bars and eating more at home is really helping. I am drinking water more than tea now too. It has given me a new hope. Krysta is right...our bodies do want to get to that lower weight and be healthy....we just have to help it see that!

Hi Beth!

I am on my "getting to know you, again tour"

You are doing soooooo well, and very upbeat. I think we may subscribe to the same dieter's devotional. Thanks for sharing.

Wanted to let you know that I took your advice about the aspartame to heart, and am doing exceedingly well now. We have recently purchased the liquid stevia, and things are looking up!

Hugs Friend!

ETA: You look amazing! I love your new pic.

Wow Beth. Great job! I'd go with either number!

You seem so much more at peace with things. It is so refreshing and inspiring. That devotional is a keeper, and so are you!

Hello Beth,

Jennifer~I have been stuck in the same rut for the past few months...gaining and losing the same weight. I asked the ladies on here after knowing what I have been eating what they thought. One of the things they recommended was limiting my eating out(especially fast food), cut out the shakes and bars, and cutting back on artificial sweeteners/tea. Since I started this my weight has steadily been going down. I would certainly give it a try in your diet and see if it changes things. Maybe start out and say I will not drink any shakes or eat any bars for a week. Good luck!

OK, I am finally able to say that I have officially lost 45 pounds again! I weighed 130.6 this morning!!! This one better stick!! I still have in the back of my mind that I might start going up again. I am trying really hard to be optimistic!!! It would be so nice to say that I had lost more than a pound this week and it stick!!!

Menu from yesterday:

B~More protein pancakes but not as many(3), 1 cup CCD milk(3)=6
L~Homemade taco salad-lettuce, hamburger, T sour cream, sm. seasoning=3
S~Lindt(85%) chocolate (2), peanut butter(2)=4
LS~macadamia nuts(1)=1
D~Texas Roadhouse-3 naked wings(0), salad(4), ranch(2), 6 oz. steak(0), 1 broc. floret(.5)=6.5

T~20.5 + 1 Arizona GT(1), splenda(2)

Ketone stick this morning: moderate
Water yesterday: 105 oz.
Exercise yesterday: Ab Lounger & walking a cross country meet

So, after the cross-country meet yesterday we went to Texas RH for dinner. We were all starved so we ordered some wings w/o the sauce (I asked the waitress if they had any breading on them and she said no that they were naked). Then, when my salad came out I just dipped my fork in the dressing instead of pouring it on my salad. I think I ate ALOT less dressing than normal. I also only ordered a 6 oz. steak and water to drink instead of unsweetened tea. These are the changes I made while eating out.
