I am here to learn TT! I will take all the advice you want to give me!

Candy~I count to 5 and then look down at the scales. I have this theory that you weigh more if you don't stand straight and look ahead!

It does feel good to be healthy and for people to notice!

I have digital scales. I usually weigh at least twice. I have had it change on the third go around. Or if DH weighs and then I weigh right after it will be higher than it should be. I have to wait a while after he weighs or weigh first. They are crazy. It is all scales that are like that or just mine. I have thought about getting new ones but they would probably do the same thing. My scales are just 2 yrs old.

Mine don't fluctuate. I can get on it several times and it's always the same. They are digital and weigh in .5 pound increments.

O.K., so how about trying exhaling all your breath before you weigh?

You guys are too funny!

I'm holding this morning...135.6! I am so cool with that. If I could get through this week without going up, I will probably faint!

No exercise to report this morning except for busyness and cleaning house.

Sending my boys off today....need prayers!

Don't have much time to talk this morning. Hope everyone has a great day!

Menu from yesterday:

Breakfast: Mock Pancake(2), w/ SF syrup(0)=2
Lunch: Leftover steak(2), mushrooms(1), onion(.5) over 1 cup raw spinach sauteed(.2/1.1), cheese(.3)=4/4.9
Snack: Bad girl....1/2 cup LC icecream(3/7) & 1/2 cup CC Milk(1.5)=4.5/8.5
Dinner: Taco Salad (salad, tomato, sour cream, salsa, taco meat made w/ homemade seasoning)=5/7
Dessert: Vanilla LC yogurt(3) w/ 2 tsp. pb(2)=5

Total: 20.5N/27.4F

Well, I tried all ways this morning, and I weighed the same too.

Beth, I will be praying for everyone on the trip.

I might be going to FL myself for a short trip this weekend.

I bet you will not go back up this week. I think you will do just fine.

I am so proud of my two older boys today! I spent all of this morning at the awards ceremony at their school. My oldest got all of the highest average awards in the 8th grade!!! He also received the Citizenship Award and an award from the Daughter's of the Confederacy for the essay contest they conducted in US History. My #2 got highest average in Language, Social Studies, and Health. They both received the Physical Fitness award and Honor Roll. Because the were on the trip, I went and received all their awards. At first I was a little embarrassed but after while I was tickled!

I am now at our office waiting on DH to go to lunch. I don't have my menu from yesterday with me so I won't be able to post it. I weighed 135.4 this morning!!! I am officially on the down side of 135....so does that mean I count it as 40 pounds lost yet???? I am happy!

Well, got to go for now! Have a great weekend!

Well, I don't know what got into me yesterday! I debated whether to even write in my journal today, because I am so embarrassed and disgusted with myself. I got too cocky and overly confident....then I was just in a mood (if you know what I mean).

After I last posted, we went out to lunch with our business partners to Red Lobster. We were suppose to do another interview, but we couldn't get the girl so we just had lunch together. I did pretty good at Red Lobster. I order a meal with lobster tail, grilled shrimp, shrimp scampie, brocolli florets, and then it came with a salad. I know, big meal for lunch, but I was hungry! I had unsweetened tea w/ splenda. I got to talking to our waitress, and she said that she had lost 200 pds on Atkins when she was in high school. She weighed over 400 pds! That was way cool!

When we got home later (6:00), I nibbled on some pieces of Atkins bars that I had in the freezer(about 1/2 of a bar). We went to town to get some movies and something to eat. While I was in the movie place, DH went to Zaxby's to get some wings with no sauce to eat for dinner. We thought about making some fondue, so we stopped and picked up a couple of beers. We don't drink on a reg. basis. We may have a couple of drinks if we are on a getaway by ourselves.

Anyway, we got back home and I was starved. We started eating the wings. Then I really wanted some LC pizza, so I got some I had frozen and put it in the microwave. We started fixing some fondue (cheese/beer/seasoning). This felt like a party! Then, the dipping started! I had to dig in the frig and see what we had. We had some raw mushrooms, leftover steak & shrimp, celery, and even dipped the wings! (I told you I went crazy!) . Of course, I had a little Lite beer to drink. The carbs on it were 5 for 1/2 the can. After all that, I got a sweet tooth! (go figure huh?) The only thing I had was some diet cocoa mix. I got the heavy cream out (I think 1/2 cup..didn't measure) and mixed it up. It was really good and hit the spot (of course it did stupid!). We sat down to watch our movies and drank coffee. It was overall a good relaxing night.

Now the morning after comes! I expected to go up....knew I would go up.....but only had in my mind maybe a 1/2 pound! NOPE! I was 136.6 this morning (I'm not even going to bold this one!)!!! I know you are saying....only 1.2 pound gain after all that....well it hurt! BIG TIME! I regret every minute of it! I just went backwards a whole week from one night of bliss! I tried to justify it......loads of salt yesterday....it's only water....had no bathroom trip yesterday....maybe if I wait until like 11 am and not eat anything and go to the bathroom it will be lower......nope....it is what it is....I own it totally! My confession is complete! DH said that we may have gone out of our minds eating last night, but at least it was all legal! I guess I have some comfort in that....but maybe if I had had some foresight I would have just had a brownie and been done!

So here are the hard cold embarrassing facts of yesterday's menu:

Breakfast: Atkins Shake(2/6)=2N/6F
Snack: LC Strawberry yogurt(3), 1 strawberry cut up(.8), 1 slice of banana(1.5)=5.3
Lunch: Red Lobster: Salad(5/7) w/ ranch(2), Lobster tail(2), butter(0), grilled shrimp(1), shrimp scampie(1.2), a couple of broc. florets(1)=10.2/12.2
Snack: 1/2 Atkins bar(1/7)=1/7
Dinner: Zaxby's wings no sauce(0), ranch(2), 2 pieces of LC pizza(4), fondue cheese(3), mushrooms(2.7), celery(.2), steak(0), shrimp(0), Lite beer(5)=16.9/17.9
Dessert: Diet hot chocolate(3/4), 1/2 cup HC(3)=6/7

Total: 41.4N/54.4F (And it was probably more because I don't know the counts for sure on some items)

So, what should be my punishment for my crime? What am I to do with myself today. I am thinking of a day with only meat and exercise! Whatever, I have to do something! I am totally disgusted! Sad even!

Oh, Beth, you KNOW I've had days like this before! Don't beat yourself up. This was an example of "Eating in the Real World," as Dr. A. says. There are going to be times that you just want to endulge and enjoy eating. There is nothing wrong with that, and you shouldn't feel guilt over having a fun evening! You ate everything on plan, and that is the best kind of "cheat!" No illegal foods. Just be extra good today and you will lose it again plus more very soon, I bet. And drink lots of water today, too!
