Yolande~I haven't made it since last week. I think it does have a lot of calories, which I'm beginning to think I have to really watch. Bummer. Congrats on the 4 pounds.

Beth~I'm too old for that too......in fact, I never could get the cartwheel thing down. Gymnastics was never my favorite part of PE.

After a 3.5 pound loss in a week, I was feeling like my weight would go up this morning, but it didn't!

Going out to lunch with DH today and am a little concerned about what the offerings will be there. If there are no A72 friendly meals, I'll just order off the menu and hope they will comply.

My clothes are feeling better on me. My khaki pants had gotten so tight that I couldn't wear them anymore, but are fitting my comfortably now. It takes me a LONG time to go down in sizes because of the way I put on/take off fat, but can't wait to go clothes shopping in the next few months.

Beth~lunch went well. We went to Applebees, and I had a spinich salad, half size, that had red onions, bacon, roasted red peppers and shrimp fried in bacon grease. It came with a hot bacon dressing, but I asked the waitress and she said it had sugar in it, so I just asked them to leave that off and ordered blue cheese dressing. It was very good.

I'm hoping I grow out of these pants fast. There's already starting to feel a little loose in the behind.

Bought coconut oil yesterday. It could become a problem around here because DH, DD and I love the bark. How to stay out of it????????? Don't know how much I should incorporate into my diet. Yesterday I had 3 T with no ill effects.

It's good to be back...how are you Sue? I use the coconut oil but haven't made the bark yet. I am scared that I would eat too much...love chocolate! Is it hard to make? Which recipe did you use? I love Coconut oil...gives me so much energy! What is the weight loss up to now?

Beth, I've been at 185 for 4-5 days now, but the scale has not fluctuated like it usually does, going 1-2 pounds up and down.

The bark I use is very simple. I don't want to add many carbs to it, so just 3 T coconut oil, 1 T dark cocoa powder (has more fiber than the regular) and1 T Davincis chocolate syrup. I bought some candy forms and poured it into those than froze. They turn out very cute.

I saw that you lost weight on your trip. That's great!

That recipe sounds good. I don't know if I can find the Davinci's chocolate syrup around here...would there be something else I could use...sugar free syrup? Are there any carbs in them?

Don't worry about the weightloss...just keep pressing forward and doing the right things. You may need to eat more. If I remember, earlier you were talking about keeping your calories low. You body may not be liking that and be holding onto the fat. Just a suggestion.

Beth~the SF syrup has no carbs or calories and is sweetened with Splenda. I don't eat low cal, although I was a little shocked on day when I put everything into fitday. I probably eat at least 1500 a day, but I should probably keep better track; it might help me track what helps me lose, what hinders, etc...

I keep all my stuff in a notebook and it helps me keep track. Maybe it was that day that I read on your journal. I didn't look back. Thanks for the help.

I should keep a journal. I used to years ago. It does help to look back and see trends.

Note to self~don't make the three minute chocolate cake for breakfast. Not at all filling. I had to make some bacon to try to fill up.

Another note to self~buy a notebook for a journal. You really need to do this for yourself.

There, the housekeeping is done for the morning.

No loss on the scale, but I'm realizing that I can't force a loss. I didn't have time to eat much dinner last night before running out to my Bible study, and thought because of that I would have a loss, but no, I didn't.

I used to be able to have a shake for dinner, shake things up a bit, eat less, etc...and have a loss the next day, but it isn't working like that this time. I will just have to be patient and wait this thing out.

I measured on Saturday and had lost more inches. Not much of a loss overall, but it was a loss, and I am happy about that. Slow and sure is o.k., because I want to keep this fat off once it is gone, and I'm training myself right now to stay in the game, stick with it, and not get discouraged.

Sue,
You're doing so well! Many small victories along your path and that'll add up to your final victory of goal in the end. And since you're making so many positive changes along the way you'll be a pro at keeping it off too. KUTGW!!

I think you understand this WOL more than most on here! I am so proud of you for hanging in there and seeing the bigger picture. Inches are wonderful! It makes us look thinner than pounds, I think. I am sure you will see a lost very soon. Your body cannot hold onto that fat when you are doing the right things! KUTGW!! BTW...what are you studying at your Bible class?

Sandy~thanks, you're so sweet.

Beth~thank you also. Such nice people on this board. I am a facilitator for the Beth Moore Study "Living Beyong Yourself." This is the fourth Beth Moore study we have done, and they are just wonderful. I've learned so much with each one.

Good job on the notebook! It keeps me so accountable.

Sounds like a great bible study. I don't think I have done one of hers yet. I have some friends who have and just love them. Now you motivated me to go to the Christian bookstore and look it up. God is so good. He has been my strength in this journey with weight loss. Sometimes we forget to include him in the small things...but I think He cares about all of it. He is honored when we take care of ourselves! Have a restful evening!
