Hillary~thanks. Hopefully I'll be where you are soon.

Beth~Keeping my toes to the fire, huh? Well, when DD gets home we are working on Couch to 5K together. I didn't go out walking this morning because it turned cold and windy. I hate being cold.

O.K., I have to admit that I didn't exercise. After shopping this morning, I felt tired, but by this afternoon I felt like I'd been run over by a truck. Have just been resting, and let DD exercise by herself. Feeling a little better now, but still haven't unloaded the unrefrigerated food. Need to get the kids to help me out.

Sue, congrats on your loss. I knew it would happen. I think you are doing a wonderful job. I won't chime in on the exercise, cause I am having some problems doing any.

It's Ok, I will forgive you. Sometimes you just have to go with what your body is saying. Tomorrow you might be feeling strong and able to do more. I hope you are not getting sick...prayers. Get some rest.

S~flax muffin 5

L~cottage cheese 4
RR with butter .5

Hi Sue. Hope you're feeling better. Your menu looks good... I've heard of chicken divan, may have even had it in a restaurant before, but can't remember what it is. How do you make it? You know me... always looking for new yummy recipes

I'm down another half pound today

Hillary~I am feeling better today, thank you. For the chicken divan, I made a sauce with cream cheese, half and half, a chicken bouillon cube, and egg and a little water. I fried cubed chicken breasts in olive oil, then mixed that up with frozen broccoli, added the sauce and baked until a little brown on top. I usually don't measure much, just add this and that. Oh yes, I also added a little curry powder to the sauce. It was good. This is my make-over of a recipe I have from my Mom.

Candy~you have a blessed day also.

Whoo Hoo Sue! You are rocking! You may have been feeling a touch of that "induction flu". Your body was working so hard on burning fat that it couldn't handle anything else!!! I am glad you are feeling better today. I wouldn't want you to be sick on Mother's Day. The Chicken Divan sounds good....I will be adding that to my recipe book. Was that one chicken breast that you counted as 3 carbs? Love ya!

The broccoli, along with cream cheese and cream is what I used in my carb count. I just had a small amount yesterday, so overall it wasn't many carbs. It is a delicious recipe. I love chicken and broccoli together, and mix in curry powder to that and it can't be beat. I am a huge curry fan. I grew up in Asia and curry was a favorite for us.

There is so much activity in my journal that I think you might not have seen my question about the bark. Is there something else I can use instead of the choc. syrup. I don't have any.

Beth, hope the bark turned out good.

I just had 1/4 C walnuts and now I'm stuffed. I'm trying to get carbs in before dinner, and decided to try and see what would happen today if I ate a little more carbs than normal for lunch. I had two cups of cabbage in a hamburger dish I had, snacked on cottage cheese before lunch and now the nuts. I think I'll be stuffed until I have to eat before going to the baseball game tonight.

Sue: Thanks for the chicken divan recipe! That looks really good and I am copying it right now to my recipe file . I love broccoli and of course who doesn't love cream . Congrats on the loss this morning... you deserve to see the scale move... you've been so good and have been very diligently hanging in there .

Hi Hillary and Beth.

No, I didn't walk yesterday. Started out on one and went about 1/4 mile, but my knee has really been bothering me, so I turned around and came home. At least I tried.

Weight is the same this morning.

I am feeling up-beat about losing this fat. It is becoming more noticeable all the time. DD made some nice comments about me yesterday.

It takes a long time for me to show weight-loss because of how I put on/take off weight. I gain or take off in every part of my body, so I can lose 20 pounds, but my clothes may be looser to me, maybe not noticeable to others. But, as I am slimming down, it is showing more. I also feel taller.
