Yea for stretch marks (on jeans that is)! That is so funny! Don't you just love those stretch jeans though. I'm glad that the Lord answered your prayers!

It is raining here today. Have a prosperous day! I have to go pick up my little boy and go take the van to get service. The good thing about that is that I will get to have lunch with DH!

Enjoy lunch with DH. I wish DH worked in the same city we live in so we could do that more often. It's just hard for me to make the 45 min drive in the middle of the day for lunch with him.

I read something in a mag this week called something like the Reversal Diet. You eat dinner foods for breakfast, making it your largest meal of the day, lunch the medium meal, and for dinner you eat breakfast foods. The woman who came up with this diet did not "diet" per say, didn't cut calories, just ate her biggest meal of the day at breakfast and it was a regular dinner meal. She lost a massive amount of weight, maybe like 100 pounds, doing this. I thought that was interesting.

Of course I am all low carb, but I thought this would be interesting to try. So I had a bigger breakfast, ate what I ate last night, had a regular lunch, and will have eggs/bacon for dinner. We'll see what happens.

I hurt my knee today somehow, probably getting off the ladder. Don't know how I hurt it, but it's really paining me right now, all the way down to my foot. Good excuse to sit around?

I hope you didn't really hurt it! Stay off it tonight and see if it feels better in the morning. Make sure you take some ibuprofen tonight to prevent swelling.
That diet is interesting. It would require some time getting used to, huh?! Might be much better on your system. Let me know what happens.

Knee better today

I don't know what is going on, but the inches seem to be dropping off, but the scale is not moving. It has been so encouraging today because I noticed that my jeans were baggier, so I tried on some smaller pants, thinking I wouldn't be able to get them zipped, and I zipped them without any trouble. I also tried on some jeans at a store that I thought wouldn't fit, and they were too big. Weird. A good weird.

Glad your knee is feeling better. Be careful on it for a few days, just in case you did injure something. I am so glad the inches are falling off ... the scale will catch up. And if it doesn't ..... who cares if you look and feel smaller. (I am trying to convince myself of this as well). I love the little presents God gives us -- stretch marks on jeans are awesome !! Keep on keeping on sister .

Hi Candy and Beth.

I wore my smaller black slacks to church today. My DH says he can really notice a difference in my body with more form fitting pants.

Doesn't it give us such confidence when we look and feel good! Wouldn't it be great if we all lived in the same town and went to the same church? We could tell each other on Sunday just how great we all looked! So proud of you Sue! I think we all just need to tell our scales whose boss....how about a boycott?!!

Beth~that would be so much fun to live close together. Boycott the scales......maybe we should start a challenge.

Candy~do we have to kick your backside to get you back in church?

Hillary~it is nice when they notice. Only one other person has mentioned my loss and that was about 1.5 months ago. It's o.k., but it is noticeable.

I was in a horrible mood yesterday. It must have been hormones because there was no other reason for it. Maybe I'm tired of DH always working on the deck during his free time? I know it needs to get done and it weighs on him, so I will not complain.

Hoping that my weigh-in today shows a loss, even a little loss.

Praying for a loss for you too! When do you weigh? If I don't weigh first thing in the morning the scales are higher!

Tell DH that if he is going to work on the deck during the weekend, then at least one night this week he has to go on a date with you. We all need to make time for each other! Keep the romance going! How much does he have left to do on the deck?

Beth~I weigh at around 8:00, and even after eating/drinking it weighs less than when I get up in the morning. Strange but true.

DH and I were going to go out when he finished last night, but I wasn't really in the mood and he was tired, so we put it off. I agree, though, that keeping the romance going is so important.

So I'll be back after I take my shower to report if I lost anything.

Weight was still 179.5, but the scale has been fluctuating lately. I feel like I'm on the verge of a loss........just the way my clothes feel and the inches lost. Maybe in the next few days I'll be down. Here's hoping.

You have been around long enough to know what your body is telling you. I am sure that you are just fixin' (as we say in the South) to drop any day now. Inches before pounds....so we know that is true! Keep your chin up. You are doing the right things!

You have gotten slack on posting your menus though! I don't want to have to put you in time out now!

I'm ashamed of my menu yesterday. I didn't eat dinner last night. Instead I ate pork rinds and sour cream.

That is too funny. I found a few bags of these pork rinds that you put in the microwave to cook. They must be in pellet form. Anyway, they are pretty good. Poor DH, who had been working all day on the deck, had to have pork rinds for dinner. He didn't complain, in fact he enjoyed them and wanted to know if I could get some more. Went to the place I got them and they were all out.

I brought home 2 bags of fresh pork rinds from the circus. I can't eat the kind in the bags, so I thought I would try these, but I don't want to swell. I will probably leave them for DH.

You need to pray for DH. It's a long story, but the decision of which church to visit is in his hands. He knows he will make it soon.

Hi Sue! Just thought I'd drop in and say Hey! I read your first few posts in this journal about wanting to make this a lifetime thing, and I just want to say that I am rooting for you and I know you can do it! I am in the same place...this IS going to be a lifetime thing for me. I also went on the plan the first time in 2002 and maintained until I got married in 04 (darn marital bliss!) This time, I plan to stay on for good, and I hope to see you there along with me for many years to come! KUTGW!!
