TGIF! I just want DH to be home during the days, so looking forward to the weekend.

DH would like to go on a drive to Mt. Rainier this weekend. I hope it works out. The boys are going to the beach with a youth group from another church, so the van won't be so crowded.

I am having another good day.

I slept so well last night and really needed that because I didn't do well the night before and was feeling well, but tired yesterday.

My mom and I went out for coffee with friends yesterday. It was such a delightful time with these ladies, one of whom is my mother's age. They were so much fun! These two ladies meet every week for coffee and invited me to come along any time I wanted.

We had to take our poor dog Sam to the vet yesterday. He had a very swollen sore on his mouth that had to be drained. He stayed overnight at the vet's and DS and I will pick him up this afternoon.

Signed DS up for driving school yesterday. He won't be able to get his license until after he turns 16 because things have been so up in the air that he's getting into school a little late to get his license on his b'day. But it will only be a month late, and then he can start doing a lot of the driving around here.

I drank coffee this morning without it making me sick.

Morning Jaimie. It's been great having the kids home. They make my day go by so much faster, just by being here.

Diana~I'm not in pain! It feels good to feel good.

Daisy~it's so good to hear from you. Thank you for your thoughts and prayers.

Carol~thanks for stopping by to say hi. If I am brave and strong, it is only because of the Lord.

He is sustaining me through this.

Sara~It is nice to be spoiled. But, I don't want to be spoiled for 6 months. I need to start doing more things around here.

The boys seem like they have so much fun! So many things to do for them to help keep them occupied. That's great!!

So if you dont' mind asking, how are things going with the chemo, have you been told anything about it yet. Unless I missed it in your previous posts.

I will have chemo every two weeks. My next round starts next Wednesday. I'm hoping that I will have a few bad days like last time, but the rest of the two weeks will go well for me. This is a 6 month round of chemo, and we'll see how things go after that. We are expecting great news, praying for a complete healing.

It's so wonderful to find you in good spirits!

You sound as busy as I do right now. Life just doesn't stop because you are sick now does it? Glad you were able to get out with some friends. REALLY glad you were able to have some coffee.

You know how you and I just LOVE coffee

I am afraid that I am doing the same thing to my son about the driver's license. I had planned to get him into driver's ed this summer but it didn't happen. I guess now I will have to find a course that runs on the weekends. His B'day is in February so we are running out of time fast.

Sorry you have to start the chemo back up on Wednesday. I will be praying for an easy round.

Wish I was there to come and sit with you. I'm going to be sending you something off this weekend.

Hi Sue--just wanted you to know that I've been thinking about you. Glad to hear that you are feeling better after your first round of chemo. Enjoy being taken care of for a while--you've been doing it for others for a long time and it is a gift to others to allow them to do for you, give them a chance to allow them to feel like they are doing something to help combat this awful disease.

This is the first morning I've woken up early and couldn't get back to sleep in a long time. I've been awake since 4:00 when my feeding tube "food" ran out and I had to shut things down. Wish the food would be good for more than 8 hours. But, I ate enough yesterday where I didn't put but one can in last night before bed.

Had a busy weekend, but it has been very refreshing and fun. On Sat DH, my mom and youngest DS drove up to Mt Rainier, Paradise, and stayed up there for a while. We ate lunch at Paradise Inn, then DH and DS went for a hike while my mom and I sat in the lobby and read. Lots of good people watching to do. We got home at 6:30, then DH and I headed to a BBQ that we had been invited to.

Yesterday we went to church, I went shopping with DD at Walmart, had some friends deliver us some goodies and visited for a couple hours, then went to a neighbors for a birthday celebration.

It feels good to be more active.

Today DH and I have a visit with the oncologist again.

I am doing alot better, still finding what works, what doesn't work... what makes me sick and what doesn't.... tomorrow will be six weeks since I had the surgery.... .I am glad I am ready to start going back to the pool and getting my arobic classes in....

This was the first time I've walked out of an appointment with the Oncologist not on the verge of tears or worse.

I've been getting my appetite back for the last week and eating without pain. He was very pleased about this, even smiled, which was one of the first smiles we've seen out of him.

I believe he is a good doc, but he's had to deliver some bad news to us in previous appointments. So, he said I looked really good and was very pleased with how well I'm doing!

I do have an infection from the feeding tube but am on antibiotics for it.

After getting home, my mom and I went out to get her glasses fixed (she fell and they were lopsided, and besides two black eyes, she's alright) and we bought a bunch of fruits and veggies at a fruit stand for me to juice. My mom brought her juicer and I'm going to try making different juices.

Daisy~thank you for thinking about me.

Diana~"joy" is the right word and it comes from the Lord!

Beth~thanks for visiting my journal to check up on you. I'm still reading the "slimmer" thread, but don't have much to input. Sounds like you are enjoying your time off. Hope you get more time to relax.

Lisa~I'm glad you're doing well and figuring out what works/what doesn't. Have you been losing weight?

Krysta~keeping busy is so much better than sitting around.
