Back Again, didnt learn my lesson the first time i guess!
Well its been 5 years since I last discovered Atkins. I picked up the old Atkins book at a local thrift store. It sounded good so I tried it. And I lost ! I lost the most weight on any diet ever!
I went from 178 - 138 lbs and felt better and tighter then ever. Then I quit it, I went back to chocolate bars, and potatoes. I am a carb addict. If I could I would eat potatoes for breakfast ...lunch ... and dinner ... and love it. Well that went on for 5 years ... five years of all I could eat carbs. and the weight came back on... and fast ... SO here I am ....back and serious. Ive got my keto sticks, stocked up on meat! and ready to embrace the benifits and body that Atkins has brought to my life before. Im 24 years old 5'8 163 last week 157 this week I love the recipies posted on this site,.... and I am going to be strong and make my ideal weight of 130 lbs It is possible when following a low carb lifestyle |

too many sugar free chocolates, so much for my 2 limit
Went to the gym today and felt great about it, it really helped me increase my keto rating to moderate today. This morning it was reading a trace ( yeah I had maybe a bit too many sugar free chocolates last night!) But I got back on track fast and feeling good.

Err, Its almost midnight. I work shift work and I’m on call with a pager. That really screws up my sleep schedule. I just got paged out an hour ago, and I’m back home, and of course hungry. I remembered not being hungry or having cravings the first time low carbing. What am I missing this time around. (and the last time around)
I opted not to eat those sugar free turtle chocolates. I had two today, Ive got to have some self control. Instead I had a hot dog, cheese, pickles and a tomato. Its hard when you work shift, or get paged out in the middle of night to not eat after 8:00pm. |

Im feeling really good about my diet for the first time in a long time.
I’m finally at the no hunger phase, but of course Id still love those sugar free chocolates…. ( and I say chocolates because I can’t stop at just 1, I would eat the whole bag) I had the jalapeño popper, and omg they were fantastic. Love that recipe! I just came back from the gym, where I worked hard on cardio and abs. This is the first time I’m mixing exercise with low carb, and I find it really accelerates my ketosis! Despite the stresses from work….. I’m feeling surprisingly good now. Last edited by jnjer : 02-12-2007 at 03:32 PM. Reason: grammer |

Ok. Reality check time
Time to be accountable time to be accountable to: -myself -my boyfriend -my work -my friends -my health I need to stop the “sugar alcohol” products, they make me feel like crap, they stall my plan, and they are toxic. Everyday at work I deal the sick and dying. Sometimes its accidental, BUT most of the time its our own choice what you have done to your body: Its your choice to smoke Its your choice to eat the whole bag of chips Its your choice to skip the gym Its your choice to sneak donuts. And its going to kill you. You may have a heart attach, a AAA, stroke, diabetes, high cholesterol, high blood pressure, and its all up to you. I am very fortunate to be reminded everyday of the perils of our high sugar society. Its time I become accountable for myself. |
