Shenue Weight Loss Journey

Weight about 3 - 4 years ago 277 lbs. Then lost 60 lbs on Low Carb. But gained most of it back. Been yo-yo'ing about 30 lbs up and down since then. I've yo-yo'ed my entire life.

I will keep my progress listed here:

9-06.........272 (approx)

12-27-06...268 lbs
1-15-07....262 lbs. I have to say about half of my drop in weight the last 3 weeks was due to being ill. Today I started Atkins induction.
1-22-07....255 lbs
1-29-07....253

Started KE on 2-4-07.. 253 lbs. Weight has been going 2 lbs up and down over and over for about 2 1/2 weeks while staying on strict Adkins induction. I know from past experience I just can't eat all that fat. So...KE it is for me for a while.

2-5-07......252
2-7-07......250 listed a mid-week weight here because KE has broken the plateau for me. yeay

GW: 140 lbs. sheww so much to lose
HW: 277 lbs.
Age 55
Hgt 5 ft. 4 1/2 in.
Physical disabilities

Kimmers Experiment seems to be working for me. My weight this morning is 249. That's 4lbs in 4 days on Kimmer Experiment. I know the weight loss won't stay at this rate, but the plateau that I was on for 2 1/2 weeks after a few days on Adkins induction, is broken. So I'm sticking with KE for a little while more and then doing Kimmers.

K/E......and now Kimkins is working great for me. I'm down two more pounds since my post two days ago. 6 lbs/6 days. I know this will slow way down but 6 pounds is a great way to break the plateau I hit after only a few days on Adkins induction as mentioned above.

I have been sliding a lot over the last couple months and have only lost a few pounds. Tomorrow morning I start K/E-Kimkins very seriously again. Hope to see the weight start to fall off again. Who knows...maybe sliding some might have even been good. For starting K/E-Kimkins tomorrow might be like starting new again and perhaps my body will respond the same way and the weight may come off a lot faster again. Hope so. Keeping my fingers crossed.

But I am still happy with my loss of 47 lbs since Christmas and overall 56 lbs...wooooooo hoooooooooo

Hi Shenue,

Congrats on your success. I'm starting KE today, and will transition to Kimkins after 3 days or so. Please share any tips! I can't wait to start losing 1 lb a day

So, have you lost 58 pounds since the beginning of the year? That's amazing! Have you done it eating Kimkins?

4Madison...Thanks for the words of encouragement. I have lost the weight using K/E and Kimkins. For me the key is low, low carbs & fat and fairly low calories too.

Seb...Let me think now. I have lost 49 lbs since I restarted sometime in Jan. around the time I joined this forum. But I had already lost hmmm 17 lbs before the holiday, gained back 8 between Thanksgiving and New Years. Then, I went back on the diet and started losing again. So overall it has been 58 pounds from my high weight last Fall till now. 277 start...down to 219 now = 58 overall pounds.

I had gotten sloppy with my carb counting over the last ummm maybe 6 weeks and had only dropped a few pounds during that time. But yesterday I started very strictly on K/E again and dropped two pounds this morning. I'll stay on K/E for a short while and then go on Kimkins again. It simply seems to be the best for me........thank's Kimmers!!

60 lbs. gone as of today yeayyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyy Glad I got back on K/E--Kimkins/Stillman again. As I had said earlier this week, I had gotten sloppy by allowing too many 'little tastes' of not allowed food. Again, thanks to those of you who have commented and given me words of encouragement.

I keep my stats current in my signature.

Well here it is Sept 25th and it is fess-up time and time to be accountable for my eating behavior over the Summer. I ate way too much of all the wrong foods. My weight is up to 225 (a gain of 12 lbs). I have re-re-re-re-started...AGAIN.....today. After doing so well last Winter and Spring, I've really blown it. However, overall I'm still down 52 lbs so I'm grateful that I didn't absolutely totally blow all that hard work.
