Diabolique's Diet Days...count down from 240 to 150ish!

Ok so today is the first day I have started a journal. Hopefully this will be fun and helpful to me and others. We shall see. lets see some history first...

2004 I had surgery to reverse my tubes so that my husband and I could try for a baby. After trying and trying I stopped being so crazed about it. I decided to go back to lowcarbing and try to lose some weight. I went from 238 eww to 202. BAM! found out I was pregnant! (took 12 months of dieting) I got up to 260 when I had AJ 12/12/05. I decided to wait to diet. I tried dieting and no luck but I kept pressing on and on...finally weight loss started in May 05....and continued on! On thanksgiving I went off the diet and stayed at 205...I was not being very good after...I wasnt horrible but I wasnt doing my best to lose. I got to 203 at Christmas and thats where I am today. yesterday I decided to GET SERIOUS again and this is day 2 and its working!!! I am NOT going to weigh myself everyday. Only on Wed. I seem to weigh less on wed. Dunno why LOL Im weird anyway.

Ill try to post every day, my son is 1 now soooo its a lil harder to find time for anything.

Im loving me all over again....

Friday January 19th

Ok Day 2:
Yesterday was GREAT!! I made meatball soup at the last minute cuz everyone was bugging me for it. Funny how when you stop cooking noodles and eating them others can sometimes follow you. I offered to make noodles seperate but no one wanted them lol My family has finally switched to eating healthier. However, I still make them eat other stuff. but at least over the past year alot of the high carb snacks are slowly disappearing. Im not even trying....

anyhow I made this recipe myself (on accident once) and now everyone just begs for it. I dont really have measurements but Ill try.

Mellies meatball soup
2 lbs ground beef
1 cup parm cheese
1/4 cup soy flour
1 tbls italian seasoning
2 tbls minced garlic
2 tsp worcester sauce
2 eggs
(some chopped onion if you like)

Ok all that is for the meatballs. I like to mix it all up and let it sit for a bit to mingle.

the rest of the soup is
12 cups of water
12 chicken bouillon cubs
some frozen broccolli
some frozen cauliflower
some fresh mushrooms
bunch of fresh parsley (chopped)
bunch of fresh cilantro (chopped)
1/4 butter
2 eggs

so then I make the meatballs and drop them in the soup and let them cook for 2-3 hours then I put in the rest of the stuff. At the very end I scramble 2 eggs and drop it in slowly.

Mmmm cant wait for lunch! You can add whatever veggies you like. This just happens to be in my house all the time.

anyhows....today is going to be a good day. I pick up my treadmill this weekend and Im going to MAKE myself walk 30 mins each day. My best friend lost 60lbs without changing her diet, all she and her husband did was treadmill 30 each day.

Ill probably write more later, for now I smell a stinky diaper lol

See that I havent even been back here in a LONG time. Life gets so in the way! lol Anyhow I am still going strong. I havent strayed just been poking along. Tomorrow is weigh in. Cross your fingers for me. Ive been good.

Wow 202 today. I cant believe I finally got out of my holiday fog! onederland here I come. Im so excited. I have one pair of pants I want to wear but to wear them I think I need to be closer to 190. so Im waiting. They are not a cheap pair so im really excited. Its so nice to wear clothes I havent worn in years. I cant tell you the feeling. With each lb lost I feel like I found 1lb of ME! I love me more and more with each lb!
