Reedrune's weight loss diary
Hi all... I've been a lurker and part time low-carber for years on this site. Before Christmas I was doing really well, but got side-tracked by the holiday and am just getting back up on training wheels.... so here we go....
We went grocery shopping last night. I live with my my BF in downtown Mpls, and we don't drive - so shopping for food is something that really needs planning. And if we don't plan, options are 1: chinsese delievery 2: pizza or 3: some sort of frozen processed item from the Target downtown. So I'm stocked. Day 1) 2 egg omelette with broccoli and mushrooms and about a 1/5 oz shredded cheese. Then a snack a little later - another cup of broccoli and 5 oz mushrooms. Some tea in the afternoon with liquid stevia. Then dinner was roast pork (about 3 oz) with a big romain salad, some roasted fennel and roasted pears. Then an evening snack of almonds (30) and craisens (30). Not the greatest, not the worst day. Tomorrow, I'll join the gym (there's a January special!) and work out how the weekdays will go - Last edited by reedrune : 01-14-2007 at 09:24 PM. |

Day two and it stunk. I worked from home, which always is a bad place for me. I was STARVING all day! I had a 2 egg omelette with a little cheese for breakfast, with coffee and cream - around 7-ish. By 10:30 my stomach was really, really growling - so I made a quick salad with radishes, oil and vinegar and a few pine nuts. THEN I was hungry at 1!! I had lettuce leaves with a can of tuna and about 1.5 Tblspn mayo. Some tea in the afternoon then dinner around 7 (apparently I had eaten enough to tide me over!) Dinner was some steamed asparagus and a chicken breast with a little parmesan covering.
The problem was, during the golden globes, I wanted a little snack, so I had a few Tblspns of natural peanut butter - not terrible, but high-calorie. THEN my DBF made a great big bowl of popcorn with butter and salt. I couldn't resists.... I had a bowl of that. Ugh. Tomorrow will be better - I'll be back at work and not grazing all day. Also, since this is day 2 of no sugar, etc. I'm not feeling the hottest - headache and this wierd hungry but not-hungry feeling. I know from experience it will go away in a few days, but it's not nice now. Funny thing though - I was down SIX POUNDS from yesterday - how can that even be?? I'll check in tomorrow! |
