Congratulations on the weight dropping again!(especially right before TOM) You are going to do fine on your trip! I have lost weight on both of my trips so I know you will too! Next week will be 130's week for sure! You will feel so skinny! We will miss you around here!

On the carbs...at least you know what all those carbs will do to you...you are still losing in spite of being on the high end. That means you will be able to eat plenty during maintenance. I am nervous about eating that many.

I so want to see some pictures so please post! Look forward to hearing from you!!

Thanks for the well wishes, you guys. I'm gonna MISS YOU!!

So, since I have to leave EARLY tomorrow morning, I thought I would post my menu for today right now. I think I did pretty good, actually. Could've gotten in a few more veggies, but I brought down my carbs significantly.

B - Atkins bar and 1 c. calorie countdown - 6

L - leftover Outback pork chop - 0
macadamias & almonds -4
a slice of Velveeta...don't ask why - 1
1/2-ish can Diet cherry Limeade - 2

D - Chicken Salad (The BOMB recipe!) - 6-8?
Jello w/ strawberries and cream cheese/sour cream topping - 5-6?
1/2 can Diet Root beer - 0

Total = 23 (high end estimate)

I'm hoping to be able to stomach a decent breakfast tomorrow morning, considering I'm probably going to be flying about 4 hours before my first layover. I am taking macadamias, cheese sticks and an Atkins bar for the flight, and I actually might be able to find some sugar free yogurt at the airport. I was able to last time, anyway. Then, I'm sure it will be a bunless wonder for me once I have my layover. I'm probably going to be starving once I get to my friends tomorrow night, but it will probably be too late by then to actually eat anything, so I have an Atkins shake in my checked bag that I will drink once I get to her place if I have to. So there you have it, my obsessive "plan-ahead" plan! I think I'm insane, worrying so much about what I'm going to eat. Oh well

I HAVE to get to bed! I have to be up at 5am, so I have to sign off now. I will check in as soon as I can!! Love Y'all!

well, I dont have much time, Im writing this as I'm waiting for the realtor to come pick me up. Yesterday was hard....LOTS of nuts...but I stayed on plan pretty well, considering.

S - Atkins Shake - 2

B - Plain yogurt w/ splenda - 3
1/2 apple (all I could find at the airport) - 8?
macadamia nuts - 2

S - Atkins Bar - 3
2 cheese sticks - 1.5
peanuts (on the plane, honey roasted) - 2?

D - Quiznoz salad (had BBQ sauce on it, which I didn't know until after I bought it) - ?????

S - more peanuts and macadamias - 5-ish

So about 25 total, not counting the salad.

Now the good news is, on my friends scale I weighed 138.8 this morning The bad news is, I don't know how her scale compares to mine However, at least I have a starting point to go from on her scales to see if I lose this week. I mean, if I go down on her scales, then I'm going down on mine, right? I have to say, the shirt I'm wearing today does seem to fit better today, and yesterday I was wearing my old (big) jeans, and they were so noticeable loose, even though I had just taken them out of the dryer that morning.

Ok, I'm going to go pop into some other journals until the realtor comes. If I don't leave comments, you know I am out the door already! Later, friends!

Well, I think I fond a house! Nothing is a done deal yet, I have to see what my realtor can negotiate for me, but Will really liked it from the pictures I sent him, just like I thought. I will post pictures after I've made the offer

Other than that, I dropped .2 on my friends scale, weighing 138.6. I really haven't been eating much and TOM should arrive today, so we will see what that does to the scales!

Here's a rough figure of what I ate yesterday (no carb counts!)

B - Atkins granola bar and 4 oz SF vanilla yogurt

L - O'Charleys Black and Bleu Ceasar Salad (YUM!)

D - Atkins shake
Sunflower seeds

Gotta run! I've got to get over to the Mortgage office and stuff. Talk at you later!

Ok, I'm not sure if I believe this, but today on my friends scale, I weighed in at....137.0!!

I got on the scale more than once to make sure, but even on her scale, that is a drop of 1.6 lbs from yesterday! We went out to eat last night and I only ate a salad, some zucchini and some nasty chicken covered in processed cheese (they charged $14.95 for that!) And before that it was basically

B - Atkins granola bar & yogurt
S - nuts
S - cheese stick and some pieces of chicken to tide me over until dinner
D - salad, zucchini and cheese chicken

I was SOO tempted to get some cheesecake. Literally, I was debating it all through dinner, cause I've eaten at this restaurant before and the only thing good about it IS the cheesecake. But I didn't and boy am I glad!! I'm guessing my friends scale is about 1.6 lb. difference to mine, but even then, that means I should be about 138.6 on my scale! We will see when I get home if I am right. Another reason I feel like I am really losing is because my 10 jeans that I bought at 145lbs. were actually feeling loose yesterday. And one of the shirts I bought with it was WAY too big. It's a size medium and too big! Which kindof sucks, since I've barely been able to wear it. Maybe my mom will want it

Anyhoo, we made an offer on the house yesterday and it was accepted They accepted it so quickly, I'm now thinking we actually could have offered even less than we did and gotten it. Oh well. It's great, and the sellers agreed to pay all our closing costs! It's HUGE compared to our last house....2000 sq feet, give or take, and it sits on just shy of an acre. And I found out AFTER we made the offer, that it is one of the lowest priced houses in the neighborhood, which means we are surrounded by HUGE gorgeous houses! (it's a brand new neighborhood...most of the houses aren't even moved into yet, or are still in the construction phase) Not bad for resale, huh?? Anyway, I literally feel like I was lead to this house, and that finding it was an answer to many, MANY heartfelt prayers I have prayed over the past week or so.

Don't mind the banner and signs, and of course, the yard will look better once Will and I get our hands on it, but here's a picture of the front:

So, I finally got to come to your journal! OH, I just LOVE this house! It looks like you! There is lots of growth for all those babies your are going to have one day!! Thanks for posting all those pictures. You have so much room in there. Isn't it fun to go and pick everything out?!

Your weight loss is rocking! I don't think that you will find that much fluctuation between the scales. All your hard work is just finally paying off dear! So proud of you! And you look major skinny in that picture with your friend! What did she say?

Good job on the resistance on the cheese cake. It probably wouldn't have tasted that great after all. Then, you would have had the major headache and possible tummy trouble afterwards. See, you save yourself a lot of trauma!

It will be so good to have you back. It is good to finally be able to talk to all my LC friends! Have a great weekend!!

So I went up slightly this morning...137.4 on my friends scale. But considering I am STILL over a pound down from 2 days ago, I'm not complaining!

I think I'm going to set my goal for April to get to 134-135 lbs. That will give me only 4-5 more pounds to lose after that to reach my first major goal of 130. At that point I will re-evaluate where I'm at and decide either to start pre-maintenance at that point, or to go for another 5 lbs before starting Pre-M. I'm hoping to be 130 by the end of May/beginning of June.

I'm also thinking I will up my exercise next month and start running. My sister also wants me to start a Power Pump class with her, but I will see. I have A LOT to do this next month (on top of my usual work and stuff,) like going through all my things at my parents house and renting a truck and getting it to Fayetteville by the time I close on the house, which should be April 27th. I honestly don't know if I will have the time, focus or energy to be going to the gym so much, when I'm barely maing the minimum as it is! We will see.

Other than that, I don't really have any other plans for the coming month. I will count my starting weight for April as whatever I weigh in at on Tuesday morning after I get home. But I have to say, being in a size 8 by the end of March exceeded my expectations! I will love to see what the end of April does for me!!

You are doing so great! Doesn't the 130's look wonderful! I can't wait to get there with you. Don't push yourself too hard this month. You do have a lot on your plate. I am sure that all the extra activity will more than help the weight come off! So proud of you. I can't wait to see what your scales at home will say!

I am SOOOO getting buyers remorse!

I went back to the house today, and while I still love the actual HOUSE and the whole area we are in, there are some funky things about the property that I am getting kindof nervous about! For example, there is a strip on the left side yard that has been covered with sod, kindof like they buried a pipe or something all the way through that side of the yard and then covered it up with the sod (the rest of the yard was seeded, so the sod is pretty obvious)...It looks SOO retarded. And the fact that the electric box is right in our front yard has been bothering me too, even though I know we can probably do some landscaping around it that will totally hide it. And then there is a huge pile of chopped down trees just chilling in the front corner of our property, which I'm sure my husband could take care of when he gets back, but it's these little type of things that I can't seem to look past right now. I know part of it is that I am nervous to be paying more for a house, especially when we have the responsibility of the first house still, as well. But it's still bothering me a lot, all these little things that I didn't seem to see the first time I looked at the house. I don't know if I will be able to sleep tonight, worrying about whether we made the right choice or not. I mean, it's not like I am around to keep looking for something else, and I'm also not going to be actually living in the house until August, so I won't be able to ease my fears by living in it and getting comfortable with it, either. Crap.

I weighed this morning, too, and stayed exactly the same....137.4 on my friend's scale. SIGH.....

Krysta .. perhaps those things don't seem like much to others, but if they bother you ... then they are legitimate concerns. YOU will be living there. Go look again and again ... if you are not comfortable ... then can't you still back out ?

Yes, we can still back out...we just lose our earnest money ($1000!)

See, I don't know if I am being overly concerned...I mean, a lot of what is bothering me is probably nothing, or something we can easily fix (or disguise) once we get in the house and start putting work into the yard. I'm usually so good at seeing the POTENTIAL of things...I don't know why I'm having such a hard time with these issues. I think some of it may also be the fact that I am leavng tomorrow and won't be back until we close, so it's not like it's something I can keep my eye on as the month goes by. Geeezzzzz......

Well, that is a lot of money. But so is buying a house you are not happy with. Maybe it can all be fixed or concealed. Did you make a lists of the potential things as well ? I hope you can get it all worked out, and I am sorry you are struggling with this.

All I can say Krysta is .....go with your gut. If you think that you might say later on...I wish that I had...then maybe you need to rethink things. It sounds like the things that are bothering you are on the outside of the house....that is good. You are not questioning the building of the house itself. Ask questions....ask them why there is sod laid out there. Don't be afraid to prod and find out these things. We have the big electrical box in our front yard too. They do that in developments. The cut trees are just adding to the other frustrations. Make them move it before you buy it. You can ask for these things. Remember they want to sell! It sounds like the biggest struggle is the money. Do you REALLY like the house? If so, then don't sweat the money. But if it is just OK....then I think you need to find something you are tickled with....not wishing you had this or that. The negotiating time is now for the things you want. That can be part of the contract. Let peace be your guide....do a lot of praying. You will know.

WHEW! I'm back! I weighed in at 139.8 this morning, but I don't know how that compares to what I was weighing on my friends scale. I do have to confess that I totally cheated on Monday while I was in the airports. I broke down and ate a piece of pizza and a few bites of a cinnabon. And let me tell you, neither was worth it! I can't believe how disappointed I was in everything about them...they did NOT satisfy any cravings I may have had AT ALL. The only thing it did was make me not hungry for the rest of the day, which I guess was a good thing. But I was really mad at myself for breaking down, and trust me, I have eat myself up PLENTY, but I was also so tired, and tired of trying to scavenge around for something diet worthy. But yesterday I got right back on, in fact, I did a strict Induction type day yesterday. Here's my menu:

B - vanilla shake - 1.5

S - cheese stick and 2 slices lunch meat - 2

L - Turkey burger w/ cheese - .5
dipped in fry sauce - 2

S - Atkins bar - 3

D - Pork chop - 0
Mixed veggies - 4
jello w/ cream - 1

Total = 13 carbs

So I only set my goal to lose 3 lbs. this month. That would take me down to the 136 range. I only have to lose <3 lbs per month to make my goal of 130 by July 21st. If I lose more, great, but if not, I'm fine with my weight loss going a bit slower now that I am getting closer to goal.

As for the house issues I was having, I'm totally fine now. I think I was just totally stressed at the fact that I was leaving, and worrying about how Will will REALLY like it, and I'm just really stressed about the whole situation. But as far as the house itself goes, I love the house and I feel totally good about the HOUSE. The yard, which was a lot of my hesitation, just needs some work, which Will and I are totally willing to do. (and BTW, the patched part of the lawn was where they ran through to the septic tank. We're kinda out in the country, so we aren't on city sewer.) But thanks for your support as I totally freaked out You guys are the best! Not only diet support, but home buying jitters support, too!

Well, that's it for now, I'm sure I will be back today, now that I'm home and getting settled again...kinda. I just made my reservations to go back on the 25th to close! Sigh...

Glad your back ... sorry about your indulgence at the airport. But hey, at least you didn't eat the whole pizza

Glad you have a peace about the house

Krysta, Just poppin' in to say hi! I love the house. Get some pretty flowers & shrubs in the front and it'll be SOO pretty -- it'll look like a "home" not a house.

I totally agree Becky! I can't wait to get my hands on my new house and be able to make it mine! And even better news...DH just told me that he may not be extended after all, so I won't have to move into the new house all by myself for a few months! I'm crossing my fingers that that is true

Well, I weighed in at 138.8 this morning This is the first time I've weighed in at that weight on MY scales, although I think I was maintaining at about 138.5 on my friends scale last week, when you take in the poundage difference between the two. So I am very happy about that! Here's the menu from yesterday:

B - vanilla shake - 2.5

S - pepperoni's w/ 2 mozarella cheese sticks - 2

S - Atkins bar - 3
1 c. calorie countdown - 3

D - Green Bean casserole - 6
Lime jello salad - 5

Total = 21.5 carbs

As far as exercise goes, I went on an hour long walk last night. I'm planning on getting out my Denise Austin DVD here soon and at least doing her strength training and abs sections. I don't know WHY this is so hard for me to do, but it is. Sigh.

My plan is to just be REALLY good today to make sure I am solidly back into ketosis after my mishap at the airport Monday Unfortunately, I am out of ketosticks, but I think my mom is picking some more up today so I will be able to check tomorrow.

Also, I am deciding what I want to do for Easter. I am planning a cheat, which I said I would allow myself if I was in the 130's by Easter. Now it's just a matter of decided how MUCH I want to cheat, which, to be honest, isn't very much. I may only have my Cadbury Mini Eggs (one of my all time FAVORITE candies, and only available at Easter!) as my actual "cheat," and that's it (besides LC treats). I'm am still debating what I want to do. I'm sure I will talk about it more as it get's closer.

I thought i would relist some of my motivations for staying on plan. Some of them have stayed the same since I started over 3 months ago, and some new ones have developed during the same time:

1 - To get healthy: lower my cholesterol, get to a healthy BMI, get my PCOS under control, hopefully make things easier to have a baby.

2 - To fit into my clothes...and new ones! I LOVE being able to go shopping and fit (and look good!) into almost anything I try on!

3 - To be more attractive for my husband. I know he loves me no matter what, but he is the BHE (best husband ever!) and he deserves a wife who tries her hardest to look (and FEEL) good for him.

4 - To get to the point where I don't think about my weight. Where I am so comfortable with my appearance and body that I don't think about it and can focus more on other things.

Those were the main motivations that stuck out to me today. And then here are some of the 12 tips from an article I read that I feel apply to me the most (I posted this earlier in my journal, but thought I would repost them now, too):

1: Make your resolution non-negotiable (make your commitment choice-less, and keep your commitment to yourself)
2: Make it actionable (make your goal concrete and translate your desires into actions)
3: Come up with solutions for your usual excuses (Don't HOPE things will be different this time, write down your specific excuses and create strategies in advance for dealing with them)
4: Schedule it in (treat your resolution as an appointment that you HAVE to keep)
5: Do it daily (the Dalai Lama's one work answer to living a healthy life? Routine)
6: Monitor your behavior (a diary to log your progress)
7: Focus on the horizon (Look at how far you have come, not how much you have left to do)
8: Take it one choice at a time (take the time, when you are struggling with your resolution, to tell yourself I am CHOOSING to...)
9: Treat yourself kindly (You're doing the best you can, don't beat yourself up over your little stumbles along the way)
