So I went up this morning (TOM! Grrrrr...!) I started March at 143.2. Oh well, so I lost 4 + lbs in February (total loss = 15 lbs.) Didn't quite make my goal, but I am not discouraged. I am setting my goal for March to lose 5 - 6.5 lbs. I am also starting the Pill this month, so I will see if that has any affect on me, either losing or stalling.

Tomorrow will be my last time being able to weigh myself until Tuesday morning. In a way, its nice to have these breaks from weighing myself every day. It will be interesting to see what the scale says when I get back.

So here is my menu from yesterday. I didn't get any veggies in except for the lettuce leaves that my burger was wrapped in, because I thought we were going out to dinner, so I was saving my veggies for that. Unfortunately, we didn't make it to dinner:

B - protein shake - 6
handful almonds - 2

L - 6 ham and cheese roll ups - 2.5

S - 1/2 Atkins bar 1.5
1 cheese stick - .75

D - LC bacon burger - 6
cocoa mousse w. cream and 4 raspberries - 5

Total = 24 carbs

So tonight Im working, so I'm going to do the bigger lunch/lighter dinner thing. And I will be getting some veggies in for lunch this time!

You are always so positive and never whinny! Fifteen pounds is great!! Whoo Hoo! Just think what you will be when it starts getting hot! You'll be HOT!

Have you started planning for your trip food wise? Take you some LC snacks. Drink lots of water. I sound like a mommy don't I? I know you are going to do great. You are well disciplined I can tell.

I lost another .2 this morning. I also did my aerobics tape and walked a mile later that afternoon on the track at the park. Boy, was I sore this morning. The exercise is helping huh? I think I will stay with it.

Well, I wish I had better news to report, but I didn't lose one ounce on my trip! I weighed in again this morning at 143.2 I didn't cheat at all on my trip, however, I didn't drink nearly enough water for one thing, and i FEEL like I was eating a lot more than usual. Whether I really was or not, I don't know, I just feel like I did. Also, I hardly got in any exercise, except for some swimming and lots of walking when we went shopping

I totally got sick, also, the day we left, and didn't get a good nights sleep the entire time I was gone. I went to bed at like 9:30pm last night because I couldn't keep my eyes open any longer. I was taking Sudafed all weekend. Now I've got the cough. It's a pain.

I didn't write down my menus while I was gone, because it was too much trouble. So I will start again today with that. I am going to try and eat light today and drink plenty of water! Unfortunately, I am without a car for the moment because my mom forgot to give me her keys before I came home, so I am at the mercy of my sister, as far as when/if I can go to the gym, etc., until my parents get back from Denver so I'm not going to even bother setting any weekly goals in the exercise department! Besides the fact that it's my LOOONG work week this weekend, so I won't really have time to do much, anyway I can't wait to get my bike!

So anyway, there is my report. Not as great as I had hoped. I am starting to hate this stall I am in. I'm going to have to really contemplate what to do about it.

Well, I can tell you staying the same is wonderful I think. I am very proud of you for doing that! I am sorry you got sick. Been there done that one recently. Things will look up soon. When you get back on your schedule and your terms eating you will start dropping again. Who knows...you could just be carrying a lot of water weight from your trip. Traveling does that to me. My body will blow up on a trip.
If it helps you any, I had a horrible weekend weight wise while you were gone. I had done so good all week remember....I went from 148.8 down to 146.4 by Thurs. Then, Friday I went up to 147.8... Sat. 149.2...Sun. 147.4....yesterday 148.8 and then today...148.6. How about that! It really sucks! I'm blaming it on the moon..lol!
So glad you are back....really missed your journal! We will just work real hard together to get back to losing OK! Don't get discouraged. I'm sure a lot of your emotions are coming from the fact that your body doesn't feel good. If you felt good it would be all that bad that you didn't lose. KUTGW!!

142.0! Woo hoo! And I was actually fluctuating between 141.8 and 142.0, but I always take the higher weight, just to give me some wiggle room, but I will tell you, it was SO NICE to see that 141.8 this morning!

So I went to the gym this morning with my sis and did 1/2 hr on the elliptical and also just a few weights on my arms and some abs. Let me tell you, my stomach is a MESS! I could only do 20 crunches!! Man, I'm pathetic. I think Im going to have to break out my Denise Austin Personal Trainer DVD and start doing her strength training and abs sections. I HATE working my abs, cause it hurts so much, but I know it's got to be done :P

So, I DID consciously drink plenty of water yesterday and I'm sure that helped. Plus, two good nights of sleep in my own bed. And I think I'm pretty much over my little mini-cold that I had. Anyway, here is my menu from yesterday:

B - 1/4 c. each of Fiber One and full fat Plain Yogurt mixed with Splenda - 7

S - 10 shrimp and scant 1 c. broccoli w/ a spoonful of Alfredo Sauce - 3

L - Pumpkin mock danish - 5

S - 2 cheese sticks - 1.5
mixed nuts - 2

D - Atkins Shake - 1

Total = 20 carbs

Beth~ I feel for you on your weight craziness over the weekend! As you well know, I've dealt with my fair share! Just hang in there and just keep reminding yourself that at least you are fluctuating within the 140's! I'm glad to be back and I'm so glad you started a journal! I'm on my way over right now!

Yeah! I knew you would drop soon!! Your efforts paid off! And you exercised...girl you are the bomb! I was thinking too that I needed to find my Denise Austin ab workout too. She will kill you on those abs! I liked your menu yesterday. I'm going to have to get me some of that fiber one. Continue losing and make the way for me!

So just for fun (or embarrasment!) I dug up a "before" picture. This was me and DH on Thanksgiving (No, I DIDN'T do my hair or makeup that day! ) I was probably about 2 lbs away from being my highest weight and next to it is the most recent picture taken of me, taken this past weekend, 15 lbs. lighter:

And here is a picture showing exactly HOW I got up to that highest weight!!

Girl, You are so funny!! Those pictures are awesome! There is such a big difference!! Look how sexy you look now! When DH sees that picture he is going to say, "Come on over here girl and let me give you a baby!!
(Hope I didn't embarrase you..hehe). Thanks for posting. I had not seen any real before pictures of you yet.

Guess who weighed 141.6 this morning???? Yep, ME!!!

I am so happy, I only have <2 lbs before I make my next goal, which is to be out of the 140's. I might actually make it this month! Needless to say, I am going to try to be extra careful today so that I can maintain things, if not lose more tomorrow. But it shouldn't be hard since I am working tonight, so I will more than likely just take some snacks and a shake for dinner. Of course, that means I have to plan a bigger lunch and breakfast.

Here's the menu from yesterday:

LATE breakfast/brunch (post-workout): Pumpkin Shake - 8

S - 2 cheese sticks - 1.5
very small handful of almonds - 1

S - 1/2 Atkins bar (coconut, YUM!) - 1.5

D - Insalata Blu w/ chicken from Macaroni Grill - 8
cocoa mousse - 3

tea w/cream and Splenda - 1

Total = 24 carbs

I wish I had time to post more, but I am in the middle of trying to work out my flight to Fayetteville without breaking the bank! <sigh> Plus, I have to make Will some St Paddys Day cookies so that I can hopefully send his box before I have to go to work. Don't worry....they are those store-bought preshaped dough ones, with the shamrock in the middle...you know the ones you just pull out of the package and slap them on the sheet and bake them? yeah, I'm in NO DANGER of being tempted!

Beth, glad you enjoyed the pictures The sad part is, as I was going through looking for some before pics, I found a surprising amount of me shoving some kind of food in my face! So sad...

141.4 today That's down .2, which is surprising to me since I didn't really FEEL like I would be less (I've been feeling slightly gassy since last night.) But heck, I'm not going to complain!! It's going to be a fight to get under 140 if I keep losing at .2 lbs at a time. But I only set my goal for this week at 141.0, so at this point it looks quite do-able to be in the 130's by the end of the month!

Here's the menu from yesterday:

B - Chocolate protein shake - 5

L - 2 scrambled eggs w/ cheese - 1.5 - 2

S - 2 cheese - 1.5
mixed nuts - 2

D (at work) - 1 (6 oz) container full fat plain yogurt w/vanilla splenda - 3

S - macadamias and tea w/ calorie countdown - 3

Total = 16-17 carbs

Yesterday, because we have been gone, etc., there was hardly any food in the house so I had to come up with SOMETHING for dinner at work (hence the reason my carbs/food was a little low yesterday.) So I took the yogurt and stopped at Target before work to pick up a container of mixed nuts and a package of cheese slices. And actually, it was plenty! I wasn't really hungry at all for the rest of the night. So I left the cheese & nuts at work so that I will have something to snack on today if I need it, but fortunately, my parents are back so I'm sure my mom and I will get a chance to go shopping here in the next day or so.

I think I am going to go look for my bike on Monday. I'm really excited. We live at the mouth of the Provo canyon, and there is a bike trail that goes right up the mountain, so I am going to start riding that again, since the weather is finally getting nicer.

Anyway, it's just about the weekend, and then I can re-evaluate my goals on Monday. Just .4 lbs to go until then!

Ok, so I'm posting REALLY late today, but it was my one Saturday to work this month...noon-7pm, so there you have it. I weighed this morning, and I had actually gone UP almost a pound from yesterday, but I was suspecting it because we had these fajita salads last night and it had too many green peppers on it for my taste. So when I laid down last night to go to sleep, my stomach was literally TALKING to me. I was gurgling and grumbling like CRAZY! And I thought to myself "oh great, I'm going to go up tomorrow," and sure enough, I was 142.2

I honestly can't remember exactly what I ate yesterday. I didn't end up writing it down because I worked most of the day and didn't have my notebook with me. But it wasnt much more than this:

B - Choc. Protein Shake - 7
handful almonds - 1

Snacks throughout my workday - 6 oz. plain cream Top yogurt w/ vanilla Splenda - 4
2 oz. Cheese slices - 1.5
1/2 Atkins bar - 1.5

D - Fajita Salad - ???

Total = ??? (15+ whatever the salad was)

I am glad my long work week is over. I don''t quite know how the rest of the weekend will go. I think my mom is inviting some visiting relatives for dinner tomorrow, so I don't know what we will be serving. I mean, of course I know I won't cheat, I just don't know exactly what food I will be fitting in tomorrow.

I also posted very late yesterday! Much sympathy for the weight gain...know how you feel! That salt can be brutal also!

I have noticed lately that you have cut way down on meat and fat. Look and see what you think. Was it because of the weekend? I went back and was going to do a run down for you on food and forgot you didn't have any post from the long weekend. Anyway...

How are your clothes fitting? What size are you in now? I think I am losing more inches than pounds.

You know, Beth, it totally could have been all the salt in that Fajita Salad that made me gain. I didn't even think of that. I am down a bit from yesterday...I was fluctuating between 141.8 and 142.0, so I'm taking the higher weight.

I haven't been eating much meat, you're right, mainly because of the fact that we haven't had any! This house has been seriously devoid of food since we went on our trip! But my folks did a little shopping while I was at work yesterday, and I think my mom and I will go tomorrow, also. And working my long weekend doesn't help, either. It's easiest for me to just eat snack or finger foods while I'm there, and meat doesn't really lend itself to being a portable "finger food!"

But I am well into my size 10's (they perfectly fit and are my prefered pair) and actually pulled out a pair of my old size 8's.....and they totally fit! Of course, they are stretch jeans, but still... I haven't even attempted to try on Small shirts yet. I don't think I will do that untill I am safely into the 130's.

Ok, so as for my menu yesterday, probably a little higher in sodium as well, now that Beth has mentioned it. Also, I didn't drink enough water yesterday, so I am going go be glugging it down today. Ok, here it is:

B - 1/2 c. cream top yogurt w/ 1/4 c. Fiber One = 8

S - Vanilla protein shake made from Calorie Countdown, Plain Protein Powder and vanilla splenda - 6

L - 1/2 of an Italian Place Sandwich: cream cheese, onion, green pepper, and chopped steak-minus the bread, of course! - 4?
SF Root Beer - 0

S - mixed nuts - 2

D - other half of Sandwich filling - 4
Tea w/ splenda and cream - 1

Total = 25

And now I have to go get ready for church. Afterwards, I think we will go for a walk, so at least I will get a little exercise in today. I will set my new weekly goals tomorrow.

Yeah! Scales are moving in the right direction! Way to go on the clothes! I wish I was a little bit taller...the fat would be spread out and my size would be lower too! LOL I bet you are in those small shirts!
You got to go get you some groceries, girl! Meat, meat, and more meat. Your body will probably respond to it well too!
Can't wait to see what you did today...
