Thanks, you guys! I spoke too soon yesterday when I said I wasn't feeling bloated. At work yesterday my pants started getting really uncomfortable and by the end of the night, I was so bloated! I decided to take Beth's advice and not weigh myself for a couple of days. The bloating, plus the fact that I started the power pump class today, will just frustrate me when I see the scales going up because of it all. I ate fine anything yesterday, though.

B- 2 fried eggs
1/3 c. blueberries w/ cream

L - leftover pot roast
mashed cauliflower w. cheese
striped delight dessert (from mothers Day...sugar free, of course!)

S - mixed nuts

D - Atkins Shake

The power pump class kicked my butt today. I am SO out of shape, but I am commiting to doing it for 2 months, on Tuesdays and Thursdays. Once I get better at it, I might add in Saturdays, too. I'm going to be miserable for the next few days, I can already tell! Talk to you all later!

Thanks for stopping in Aim! And that poem was great, Lisa! It totally made me smile My muscles are sore this morning, but not half as bad as I was expecting. I think lifting weights a little bit before I started the class helped. I didn't weigh again this morning (you should be proud of me, Lisa!), but I was only in trace ketosis Oh well.

You know I don't understand the chemistry of the ketone sticks. Honestly, I think I lose better when I am between trace and moderate. You know this week my sticks have only been at a trace and I am losing. I wouldn't put too much into them. As long as you are showing a trace then don't worry about it. Keep hanging in there.

Good job on the exercising. And then, you added weight lifting. You should be real proud of yourself! I don't think you are in as bad of shape as you think you are in. I think exercise is going to be even more important as we start maintaining. If we start now, maybe when we get to goal it won't be so hard to incorporate.

When are you going to officially move to NC? Have you bought anything for the house yet? What colors are you using?

Hey Ms Krsyta .... I can honestly say, I have never been more than a trace or moderate on the sticks. Usually trace. I have decided as Beth has, that's when I am losing. I think it probably is darker, but we are hydrated more and they show lighter. Even Dr. A says they cannot work sometimes.

Don't take my Keto sticks away from me! I have to give myself hope somehow that I'm really still doing ok, despite all my Pre-TOM issues!

I had a serious bout of reflux tonight. It was terrible. And I have to say, I cheated because of it. Don't ask me why, but when its really bad, if I eat cereal, it helps. I don't know if its cause of the milk, or the cereal absorbs the acid, or what, but I had Golden Grahams for dinner tonight because of the misery I was in. As soon as I ate it, I started feeling better and then I went for a walk with my mom after American Idol (MELINDA IS OFF?? WHAT THE??? But at least my sweetie Blake made it! Whew!) So I know I will be OUT of Ketosis tomorrow. Other than that, I think I'm just really depressed and Moody because of TOM. This month the TOM Blues are hitting me really badly. I'm really struggling to hang in there. Thank goodness I have my friends

I am going to my Power Pump class again tomorrow, and I have to say, I'm actually kindof excited about it. I'll write again soon...

sorry about the reflux........have you ever determined what foods trigger it?
what was the last thing you ate or drank before the attack?.......or maybe you are not eating enough and acidic bile is being produced in your stomach.....cereal would be alkaline so maybe it neutralises it....I am pulling my hair trying to remember my biology school days.....and you know, that was a loooong time ago

I am sorry you had such a bad night. I know what you are going through with the acid reflux. I have had it so bad that I woke up and couldn't breathe because it got in my lungs while sleeping! Now that is scary! Who cares about the cereal! Sometimes you got to do what you got to do. And when you are desperate you do it. I am sure it won't even effect you. Your metabolism is stronger than that! Your body is just going to throw it right out...plus you went and walked!

I was too surprised about the results last night on Idol. Are you rooting for Blake? I don't know who will win. They are both awesome. Either way they will both have contracts at this point and so will Melinda! She's so sweet.

Go pump it girl! Take all that aggression out on the exercise floor. You know after the TOM blue moods go the ill moods come! Punch it out!

As for the frogs.......if it were me I would be the one hanging on by a fingernail....you gals have got it together..it is me who is trying to get her groove back

Krys......how goes things today...having scale withdrawal symptoms yet.

Someone posted once that if you want to know if you are in ketosis....lick you hand ..then wait for it to dry...and once that spot smelled bad...you are in ketosis.

So today I was envisaging Krys running out of keto sticks ...and frantically licking and sniffing her hands all day long

yes girl you have made "addict" catagory in my books....can you tell I am in a good mood today

Thanks you guys...I'm actually mentally a lot better right now. I think because I haven't been weighing myself. I decided I'm not going to weigh until Wednesday, because that is the day after I take my last pill for this cycle. It really sucks, because even in DANDR, Dr. A says that BCP's will slow down your loss. I want to go off of them, but I'm not going to until Will gets home. I may as well get the most benefit out of them as I can. It just frustrates me so much that I can't lose with them.

Today I am doing a strict day of just protein shakes for breakfast and lunch and only protein snacks. Then I will have a normal LC dinner. I might try doing this until Wednesday and see if it helps rev me up before I start TOM and weigh again. I will have done my power pump class 2 more times by then, also. I didn't go yesterday because we were still too sore, so we decided to go on Saturday. But next week and the week after we HAVE to go on Thursday because my nephews birthday is next Saturday (we are going to go ride on Thomas the Tank Engine) and the Saturday after that is my sisters wedding. So our Saturday fall-back class is out for the next two weeks. Hopefully I won't be so sore after 2 more times doing the class that I can do it with only one day in between. I did, however, go for the long walk last night (after watching The Office...YAY JIM AND PAM! IT"S ABOUT TIME! SHEESH!)

Speaking of my sisters wedding, I've been feeling so fat and like a loser lately that I was actually surprised when I still fit into size 8's as I was shopping for an outfit to wear to the wedding. In fact, as I was browsing at Macy's, one of the sales ladies was showing me all the white skirts they had, and she said, "Oh, here's one, but I don't think we have it in a small enough size for you." So that gave me a little lift, despite my foul mood lately. Fortunately, the wedding is AFTER TOM, so I should be back to my normal self by then. So far I've only found a shirt (Purple is SO not a popular color right now! But I finally found one at Express that is REALLY cute! It is exactly like this one, only not the silky fabric and it's a deep purple)

I'm going to get a white skirt today to go with it. Maybe some new white shoes, too...(Yes, I like to shop )

I love that top! You are going to look beautiful in your new outfit...must take a picture for us!

Your liable to have a big whoosh after TOM with all your dilligence on your eating. I hate feeling bloated. But we don't usually look like we feel....isn't that good to know! You are looking fantastic. I know in your mind that you still have a way to go, but most people would kill to look like you ....remember that! We have to enjoy the process sometime. Just because we haven't reached the end yet doesn't mean that we still don't look great. This is what I am trying to get across to myself.

As most people tell me, slow is not so bad. You have done great to this point! Some would say that our loses haven't been that slow. We didn't have to lose 100 pds. like some.
