Ta da!! I'm back! And boy am I glad. Kinda. I actually wish I could've stayed in NC in my new house, but I couldn't. I have too many obligations that I need to finish up here in Utah before I go back for good. But let me tell you, I am glad the stress is over. I closed last Friday with only one little glitch that we were able to work out (the seal on Will's POA wasn't fully impressed) and moved all my stuff from a storage shed into the house on Saturday, with the help of the missionaries and some other men from my church. I wouldn't have made it by myself, thats for sure. Seriously, I worked muscles that I didn't even know existed, like my forearms! Who knew?? Then on Sunday I felt the love at church. I'm in the same Ward (congregation) that I was in before, so everyone was hugging me and asking if I was back for good...it's going to be nice being back where I belong and can really do some good. I picked up my car after church on Sunday from our friends house, which is about 45 minutes from my new house. Monday, my sister and I were able to put up most of the blinds in my house...I got a great deal on blinds at JCPenney...half off the 2 inch faux wood blinds, so they were only about $17 each. Of course, when you are buying them for almost every window in the house, it adds up, but still. They look great, if I do say so myself, especially considering we hung them ourselves! We are quite proud of our handiwork, my sister and I. Fortunately, I have the key to my husbands best friends house, so we were able to borrow his drill, since Will took his to Iraq. I got them up in the whole front of the house, but unfortunately, the back of the house is wide open to view. I have to special order most of the blinds for those windows and obviously wasn't going to be around to pick up the order, so I just kindof stacked boxes up in front of the french doors and in the breakfast nook windows. It's not perfect, but it covered them up a little. I'm having a security system activated on the house tomorrow. My friend was nice enough to go out to the house and be there while they do it. Honestly it was the busiest weekend I've had in a long time, and just not enough time to finish everything I wanted to do, but I am so relieved to have it over with. Now I just have the Women's Conference Service Night that I am involved in tonight, and after that is over, alot of my immediate stress will be gone. Oh yeah, except for the fact that my parents sold thier house while I was gone and have to be out a month and a half earlier than expected, Our renters gave 30 days notice (even though they signed a lease till October) so we need to find new ones and we wont until they are out of the house because they are such slobs, and my youngest sister announced that she is pregnant and not sure if she is going to marry the guy, who we have never even met before. So, ok, I guess the stress is just shifting to other stresses
Whew! So there you go...my trip. Foodwise, I totally cheated big time. Total Stress eating, I know. But it was almost like I couldn't help it. I ate good most of the time, but one night I took my sister to my favorite local hamburger joint in town and got a root beer float, a burger and fries. And then the last night I went to a japanese steakhouse and ate everything (except the rice...I only had a few small bites of the rice and then left it), which was mostly shrimp, chicken and veggies, but it was covered in all kinds of sauces with who knows what in them. Then I topped it off with a delish piece of Cheesecake. I was full for 2 days. And so with that, I am happy to say that I am still 139. So I maintained, and honestly, I am quite happy about that. I started again strict on plan yesterday and now that TOM is over, I have approximately 10 days to lose some more weight before I stall out again. So I am going to try really hard to make May a month worth something. I am SO GLAD to be back. I MISSED YOU GUYS! And Obviously, I am in need of some good advice, encouragement and a good kick in the pants! This is what I ate yesterday: B - Protein shake - 2 S - nuts - 3 2 cheese sticks - 1.5 L - Atkins shake - 2 D - South Beach Diet frozen dinner (at work) - 8 crystal light Total - 16.5 carbs

OMG! You are finally back! You have made my day...first time I have smiled all day!
I am glad that you got everything moved in your new home. I know that is so excting! If you are like me though, the fact you have all those boxes waiting on you can drive you nuts until it is all done! I love the faux blinds. That is what I have up in my house as well. We got our blinds at Home Depot and had them hang them up. I knew that Mark would get frustrated hanging them, so I refuse to let him do it. Most all of our blinds were special ordered. It is a good investment though and will pay off one day. I laughed when you said that you ate a hamburger, fries, and root beer float! You are so funny! At least it didn't effect your weight. I don't think I would have been so lucky! And the fact that you had control over that rice shows you are stronger than you think. I would have probably eaten the rice and poured that great seafood sauce all over it. Mark and I love (and miss) that sauce! Then, I would have eaten some peanut M&M's because I have already screwed up! There would have been no one around to comfort me while I cried myself to sleep in defeat! Anyways, it is over....get back to work! We have got to get out of these 130's! Now we are around the same weight. Were you hungry yesterday? I had considered doing the two shakes and 1 meal but I have been so hungry so far... Did you test yourself on the ketosis sticks?About the stresses...WOW! You have every right to be that way! What a load to carry! I will be praying that you get through it all! So glad you are back! ![]()

She's back
.I missed you and have thought of you often. Stress is just part of our world, huh ? It's a never ending cycle. Glad your "meal" didn't affect your weight (DH does this with one meal every week and still loses). And I agree with Beth, you had some control or you would have ate the rice. And like Beth, I would have had to go get the peanut M&Ms. So, glad you're back. Let's get in gear and see what we can do this month. |

I am SOOOO GLAD to be back with my friends! I missed you so much! Honestly. It's so crazy how we can build these fantastic friendships ONLINE and have them affect us so much. At least that's how I feel. I feel lost when I can't check in with you guys. I couldn't do this without you. I was so happy to log in this morning and read your comments. So I weighed 138.6 this morning. WOO HOO! This is the first time I've weighed under 139 since before TOM. I am really watching it to keep things going in the right direction in the few days I have left to lose this month. The Yaz has really made it harder for me to lose, I've noticed, but my Endo wants me to stay on it until Will gets back. And if it will help me get pregnant when the time comes, then I am willing to take the slower weight loss. Beth, you asked if I was hungry doing the 2 shakes thing. Honestly, I wasn't, but that can change on a daily basis. Some days I'm just not hungry, and other days I'm ravenous! Sometimes I decide how I feel by dinner, and if I'm not really hungry, I will have a shake for dinner, but I usually have to have more during the day. Like if I do the 2 shake thing, I will have a bigger lunch. Like today, I am HUNGRY already! All I've had is a shake, but I am going to need to eat a bigger lunch, I can tell already. Oh yeah! I got my Cholesterol results back. Here they are: January 19th results: Total 258 Triglycerides 157 HDL 35 LDL 192 April 23rd results: Total 212 Triglycerides 165 HDL 40 LDL 139 So, I've gone from High Risk to Borderline. I'm within about 10 points of the normal range in all the areas. The Dr said to just keep doing what I'm doing (although, of course he recommended a low fat diet - ICK!) and get retested in 6 months. Also, I went for my 2 month check up with my Endo and she was pleased with the direction I'm going, too. She was happy with the additional weight loss (about 5 lbs. since my last visit), my acne is gone, (which she credits to the Yaz, but I happen to know it's the diet), and my insulin, thyroid and gallbladder were all normal. She wants me back to test my testosterone in 6 months, which I will get checked by a Dr in NC before I go off the pill and try to get pregnant since I won't be in Utah anymore. She is keeping my on the Metformin and Yaz, but I stopped taking the antibiotic from the dermatologist, now that my acne is gone, and am just using the topical medications for my skin. So very nice results from all my Drs. and I'm good for another 6 months. Yay! |

Thats funny you say that. Will and I were doing my BMI calculations this morning. According to the calculator we used, I have to be 136.4 before I am under 25 BMI, but either way, I am close! Even though I could technically lose more weight, I have decided that for now I am for sure going to maintain at 125, because according to something I read in a PCOS book, the ideal BMI for getting pregnant is 23, which for me is 126 lbs. So...my goal was right on, at least for that.

Such excellent news Krysta! WooHoo about your blood work.
And yes, I feel the same as you ...couldn't do this without you...it was very hard while you were away! So, glad to see the scales are moving for you again. You just kissed 140 goodbye...never to see again! You rock!Have you gotten any news on whether you might be able to see Will before he comes home? Today was one of my hungrier days. I just couldn't do the shakes today. I know what you mean! |

I have stuff to do this morning, so I don't have time to post alot this morning, but I am down a bit more this morning...138.2. Good, but I won't be celebrating until I'm back to 137 point something
Did pretty well yesterday... B - Protein shake S - nuts L - cottage cheese w/ no sugar added diced peaches S - No sugar added frozen fruit bar D - BBQ chicken Broccoli SF ice cream bar S - another shake, cause I was hungry! Today I am starting a fast, so I won't be eating after about 4 - 5 pm until tomorrow at the same time. That should put me well into Ketosis by Monday morning...not the reason I'm doing the fast...just a nice benefit ![]() |

Woo Hoo! It's coming down! You will be back to 137 before you know it. Hope you have a great weekend!
I would love to here more about your fast. How often do you do this? Is this a spiritual or cleansing fast? It is such a great discipline. I am proud of you! Your menu has been so light lately. Don't forget your veggies! |

I just noticed you posted right before I was about to post this! Hello, friend! I figure if I make myself the healthiest I can be, then I am doing my part. The rest is in God's hands. Thanks for the encouragement ![]() |

So, I bought a dress while I was in Fayetteville that was supposed to be my 135 lb reward dress. I bought it early, cause the store that I bought it at in Fayetteville gives me a military discount. So...since I was so happy that I weighed 137 this morning, I decided to wear it a little early. Will wanted a picture, so i thought I'd post it here too

Congratulations! And Wow!
You look fantastic!! Thanks for posting the picture! You are just beautiful my friend! I am so proud of you. You look soooo skinny here! I can't even imagine what you are going to look like at 125! Are you sure you need to get that low? Wow again! I can't stop looking at that picture! Do you think you could pray for me to grow a couple of inches??? Fasting is a wonderful spiritual discipline. It is amazing what God will do during this time of consecration to Him. I am praying that God will speak a word to you that will be life changing. Thank you for reminding all of us of it's importance and for being such a beautiful example. Oh, I didn't forget....good job on 137! You are now lower on the scales than me. I was 137.2 this morning. You are fixing to take off again. But I am going to try to stay close this time around! ![]() |

Beth, you are seriously one of the sweetest, most wonderful people I know! Your words literally made me smile from ear to ear! You are always so encouraging and inspiring....and if I may say so, you are quite gorgeous yourself!! Inside AND out
![]() And just for the record, yes, I'm sure I need to be 125. You may not see it in the picture, but I've still got plenty of pudge on my tummy and hips. I was even thinking of getting down to 120 (which I still may, in time) but Will wants me to stay at 125 for awhile, focus on toning and building some muscle, and then see how I feel. After I do that, I may not WANT to get lower than 125. But what I can't believe is the fact that in 7 lbs I will be starting Pre-Maintenance! How scary is that??? Congratulations on 137 lbs!! You look awesome in your new dress!! It's very cute! You are at my goal weight! I am 5'3" & my goal is 135 lbs. I'm a little to ask you because we don't know each other (yet ) but do you mind saying the size of your dress. I'm just a little taller than you, and it will give me an idea of what size 135 will be for me. I hope I look half as beautiful as you do when I hit 137!! |
