Way to go Krysta! I told you would start sprinting ahead of me again. I didn't even stay the same weight as you for one day! I am so happy for you. 10 pounds away from your goal....OMG...can you see it?!!

I would put off the swim suit since it is so early (and I know you are going to hit that 135 soon). You will be much thinner by the time you will be ready to wear the suit. I would buy myself one of those tops you showed us. Or something to go in your new home! A reward is definitely in order!

Krysta ... you have brought tears to my eyes and joy in my heart. I don't know what to say. I cannot imagine going a day without seeing Randy. My heart breaks for you. I am lifting you up in prayer and pray that God will comfort you and give you peace. I pray that even if he doesn't come home until then that you will be able to see him somewhere somehow.

I am very proud of you ... this could be an easy time eat a lot of comfort food. But you are right, you have perservered.

I love ya girlie and if Beth comes, I am coming to cry with you too.

Well, I woke up this morning the same, 137.2. I'm posting this so late that I honestly can't remember my entire menu from yesterday (obviously, I haven't gotten a new notebook for my food diary yet) But from what I remember, I had a protein shake for breakfast, tuna for lunch, an atkins bar for a snack and a south beach diet dinner for dinner and some SF tapioca pudding for dessert. Total carbs was 24, I believe. Today, I went to eat lunch with my friends before work, and had a steak w/ shrimp and a salad at Applebee's, and mesquite wings for dinner. I'm a little concerned I will go up tomorrow, just because I feel like i've eaten a lot, even though I didn't eat off plan. I guess we will see tomorrow. I just got home from a 45 minute walk, so that was good. I think I've walked 3X this week. I'm not even thinking of doing more until I get back from NC the first of May, because I am working and planning and packing until I leave. Anyway, that's where I am at as of tonight.

Ok, well, I'm back after a busy weekend and, sad to say, dealing with Pre-Tom time. I have steadily gone up this weekend to 139.4 this morning While I have not eaten anything bad, per se, I did indulge in a lot of LC stuff this weekend. I am SO hungry, and SO craving bad things right now! Honestly, I would be happy to devour a huge piece of Chocolate Cake right now! If I can get through the next week, I will be happy. I am working a lot again this week, so I hope that helps in keeping the LC snacking at bay. Other than that, I don't really have any strategies except NOT TO GAIN ANY MORE BEFORE TOM! ARRRGGGG!!

So, I went up an entire pound AGAIN this morning. And I am barely in ketosis. I haven't cheated at all. Maybe a few too many LC treats to try and assuage my cravings, but no illegal cheats. I have gone up OVER 3 lbs in the past 4 days! I was really bloated last night, and continue to be this morning. I pulled out my old jeans...my fat pants, if you will, because I am just so uncomfortable I still have over a week before I start TOM. I am going to go crazy. I have decided I am not going to weigh myself for a couple of days, because it's just too depressing. I am only going to monitor my ketosis, and see if I can get solidly back into it. I am leaving for NC again in a week. I may not weigh myself until I get back. TOM will be over at that point. We will see.

Other than that, I worked out big time this morning (Which, of course, just means that tomorrow my muscles will retain all the water I consume today, making me even heavier! ARG!) I lifted weights to the point where I felt the burn and could feel my heart beating. It's the first time I've done it so intensely since starting on plan, and I realized how important it is for me to really start focusing on strength training. So I am going to try to go to the gym 3x per week specifically to lift weights. I don't care if I get any additional cardio in at the gym, but if I do, great. I will mostly focus on continuing my 45 min-1 hr walks as my fat burning exercise. After I lifted today, I also did the elliptical until my sister was ready to go, about 20 minutes worth.

I have been semi absent lately because I have been working on this huge project that needs to be done by tomorrow. I have to make 600 card kits for a huge womens conference service night that my church is sponsoring. I have 400 done. 200 more before tomorrow. So forgive my absence. Also, I've been working a lot the past week, and am working almost every day this week, as well, as well as the Mon & Tue next week before I go to NC.

Ok, I'm off to eat some egg salad. Hopefully it won't make me gain 3 more pounds

So, I am back in moderate Ketosis this morning. That is good, since Ive only been in trace to negative since Sunday. I actually had a loss this morning, as well. For the first time in 5 days. UGH. I'm 139.0. I'm basically where I started at the beginning of the month! I have to get back down to 137.2 (my lowest for the month) or else this month was a complete wash.

I was so bloated yesterday (PMS has been a REAL KILLER this month for some reason!) that I just really didn't want to eat anything so I had mostly shakes. This is what it looked like:

B - yogurt protein shake - 3

L - egg salad and turkey & cheese roll ups - 5

S - a few almonds - 2-3

D - Atkins shake - 2

S - Chocolate mousse w/ cream - 3

I also had a few homemade chocolate coconut truffles throughout the day (to curb the evil PMS chocolate craving monster!) - 5?

Total = 21 carbs

[quote=KrystaLyn;8238184]Well, I did really well with my food plan yesterday. And, i was down another .2 lb. this morning! So Im 143.2. Its a long shot, but there is still the possibly I could be 142.4 tomorrow, which is what I need to be to make my goal for February. I'm not holding my breath, but the possibility is still there, I mean, it's less than a pound!

Yesterday my menu looked like this:

B - Pumpkin Shake - 4

QUOTE]

How do you make your pumpkin shakes? What ingredients do you use. These sound yummy and I would love to experiment. Did you make these while on induction? BTW, we have similar stats and I have to tell you, after reading your journal (which is SO informative!) You have really become an inspiration to me! You have also shed light on alot of questions that I have had! I'm so glad you decided to do a journal! You are kicking serious butt! Thanks so much!

Brittani~Thanks so much for stopping by my journal, and also for all your kind words! As far as the pumpkin shakes go, I usually just blend about 1/4 - 1/3 c. canned pumpkin, 1 t. pumpkin pie spice and some ice into a Vanilla Atkins or Slim Fast Low Carb RTD shake. I've also made them out of vanilla protein powder and they are ok, but I like them with the RTD shakes the best. The pumpkin adds 2 carbs per 1/4 c. And I did drink them on induction. Hope that answers your question!

Thanks, Jo! I didn't intend this journal to be for anyone else but me, but I am happy that others can find some use in it!

Well, I finally finished my service project yesterday morning (whew!) and then worked for the rest of the night, which is why I didn't post yesterday. Today, I didn't weigh. I'm not weighing again until I get back from NC and TOM is over! I was very bloated again yesterday. I haven't put on my clothes yet today, so I don't know how the bloating will be today

I am, however, still in Moderate ketosis, which is good. I've been eating berries every day, and yogurt, and a lot of the things that help me get through my cravings without going off plan. And as long as I am in Ketosis during it, I'm ok with that. But man, will I be happy once TOM is OVER!!! I just realized that my BCP's that I am on (Yaz) is a 24-day cycle instead of a 28-day cycle pill, so that's crappy. I have less time to lose weight before Pre-Tom kicks in and messes with my hormones! But, I just keep telling myself, I have less than 10 lbs. to lose before July 21st, and that's it. That was my goal. If I reach it by then, I don't care how slowly it goes.

So, yesterday was the WORST day, as far as the soreness from lifting goes. I was literally walking around like a crippled person most of the day. Fortunately, by the end of the night things started loosening up and I was able to walk pretty normally by the time I went to bed. Today, I barely feel it, which means I can go to the gym again tomorrow to sore them all up again! I have to go tomorrow, so that I don't wait too long between lifting here in the beginning, or I will never build up my muscles enough to where they won't hurt anymore. I eventually want to be lifting at least 3x per week.

Oh Krysta! Please tell me you haven't gone to NC yet! I am finally back.....I missed you so bad! I see that we both had horrible weeks! So sorry I couldn't be there for you. I know there is light at the end for you! You are smart not to weigh until TOM is over. Seeing those numbers just makes you that much more frustrated. I am so proud of you for going and working out inspite of the way you were feeling! You are so determined and that means that you will achieve your goal! You are so close! We have to remember that this is when it really counts. The closer we get to the goal the harder our bodies will fight us. We have to just keep pressing forward. We will get there! Hope we get to talk....but if you have already gone....hope you have a wonderful trip and look forward to some low numbers when you get back!!

No, I haven't gone to NC yet...I leave Wednesday. But I have been wowrking every day (except Sunday) since last Thursday and things have just been really hectic. I still haven't weighed, so I don't know what's up weight-wise. But I went to the Dr. today because I suspected a UTI (I was right, ugh!) and had my cholesterol checked as well. I'm HOPING it's lower than in January! I wowrked out again today, doing a full body circuit with light weights (30 lbs max). I don't feel it yet, but I'm sure I will tomorrow! Other than that, I'm just trying to hang in there until my life calms down! Sorry I've been absent. I will check in again before I leave for NC.

Well, I dared to weigh myself today and I am holding steady at 139.8 However, today is my last day for the pill this cycle, so I should drop within the next day or 2. Last month I dropped 2 lbs overnight once TOM arrived. Of course, I won't know until I get back from NC. Oh wait, I have a scale at my house. It's just a matter of unpacking it. I think it weighs pretty close to my parents, because they are the same brand, etc. So I may be able to weigh sometime this weekend.

So I am not as sore this time around from the weight lifting, which is GOOD. Means my muscles are rebuilding from all the tearing I've done to them! Of course, I could get sorer as the day goes on. I mean, I was the most sore on the third day after lifting last week! But let me tell you, I woke up feeling a LOT skinnier this morning. Maybe its the fact that my hormones are getting ready to drop, or maybe its the weight lifting, or maybe a combination of both, but I woke up feeling really good today. I'm going to eat very light today...a protein shake for breakfast, a snack, a large lunch (not sure what yet,) another snack and probably another protein shake for dinner. I want to see if I can break this 139 range that I've been stuck in (for the past week and a half, at least,) by tomorrow morning before I go, since I'm actually starting to feel back to normal, hormonally.

Here's what I ate yesterday:

B - 2 scrambled eggs w/ cheese - 2

L - roast beef w/ gravy - 1
mixed veggies w/ cheese - 4

S - SF tappioca pudding - 7

D - mexican beef w/ cheese & sour cream - 7 ?

S - almonds & peanuts - 5 ?

Total = 26 carbs ?

I'm guessing on the nuts and dinner, because I didn't measure them out, and my mom had made the dinner, so I don't know exactly what was in it.
