Hello my dear friends. I just wanted to take a moment out of my busy, emotional day and give you all an update on things.

My friend's son that was MIA is OK. He had gone camping with some friends from church, and didn't feel the need to check in. So, that is an answered prayer.

They want to do another bone marrow biopsy on my sister, as well as check her kidney function. Please continue to keep her and my brother-in-law and niece in your prayers.

The news on my other friend is very tragic. They were unable to drill the holes in his head to relieve the pressure, so they decided to try and operate. They were able to remove a portion of the tumor, but the remainder is inoperable. Removing it would cause extensive and permanent brain damage. The tumor is malignant and it is terminal. They do not think chemo or radiation will heal it, as it is fast growing and would grow right back. The prognosis is not good.

All of this has hit me very hard. My world is spinning out of control.

I was reading Lisa's journal yesterday when I got the initial news. I have re-read her journal again this morning and have been very inspired.

Despite the world spinning out of control around me, I am praying for an inner peace to be able to deal with all of this in the proper manner.

After my eating choices last week, and even yesterday, I was amazed to find myself a pound lighter on the scales this morning. Yes, I still have 5 more to go, to be pre-vacation weight. But, God's still small voice has reminded me that HE is still in control.

candy so sorry for your friend....

We found out a few weeks ago that our aunt is dying of cancer of the stomach........ her husband was do the dishes one night and she came to him and told him not to pray that God will heal her, that she had lived a full life and she was ready to go home... Needless to say this is still breaking my Uncles heart.... they are in their sixties....

You know we don't always understand why God would let someone come down with cancer, or why a child has a disability.... But we do know that God see the big picture, he know what is going to happen before it even happens...

And his plan is perfect, his ways are perfect, we just have to trust in him....

I will continue to pray, and also pray that he gives you peace and the right words to say when the times comes...

Good morning Candy.

So glad to hear your friends' son is alright. I can relate to the brain tumor situation. My BIL died in March from the same thing. It was heart breaking, and still is because DH's sister is hurting so, as well as their 20 year old daughter. My prayers will be with your friend.

Thank you all for stopping by and for your continued love and concern for me, my friends and family. Things are still not looking good for Lee (my friend with the brain tumor). And, to top things off ... Hannah is sick again. We have been on the phone with Scottish Rite all day long. They have finally called her some medication in for the cramping. However, we have nothing for the vomiting, etc. She is so pale and weak. They are now wondering if she has IBD or IBS. Basically, I only have a minute to check in. I just wanted to let you all know that with everything going on, I will not be checking in here as often ... but promise to update as often as I can. I won't have time to visit your journals, but promise to catch up soon. I want you all to know how much I love you and think of you all. YOU ALL MEAN THE WORLD TO ME.

WOW !! What a week. I think this has to have been the most "out of control" time I have felt since my mother passed away years ago. I can definately attest to the fact that we do serve a Mighty GOD and that the effectual and fervant prayers of my righteous friends availeth much.

God has touched my friend's life and I am praying for healing. Lee was able to come home from the hospital. They got more of the tumor out during surgery than they first realized and the surgical recovery was much faster than expected. He starts his first chemo treatment on Monday. He looks good and he is very optimistic despite the doctor's prognosis. I must agree with him because of the things I have already witnessed. Please continue to keep Lee in your thoughts and prayers.

The medicine they have given to Hannah seems to be helping somewhat. She is still experiencing some pain, but it is not near as severe. The diarhhea and the vomiting have stopped.

My workload is increasing at work, which will only add more stress, but hopefully more income .. which is another answer to prayer. But, will lessen my online time, etc.

My eating has been out of control this week as well. Amazingly, I haven't gained since I came back from the beach.

Hey peach!

Sounds like you have had had your arms full since the last time I was here. Me thinks you need another vacation!
Life has been "FULL" for me also. I've been busy at work and home. This last week I was involved in an event at work that was fun to do and they fed us. They fed us WELL! Needless to say, I'm still hanging out in the upper 290's. Oh well.

Candy~that is such good news about your friend. I pray that he continues to recover quickly and that the chemo takes care of the rest of the tumor.

Poor Hannah. Is this a long term problem for her? With God all things are possible, as I know you already know.
