Whacky stuff about the meds, but it sounds like it will cure whatever is ailing you! You know, I have heard about folks that get a large spectrum anti-biotic and then all their glucose, candida and other issues clear up. My Grandpa was a diabetic for years, then had an illness where they pumped him full of broad spectrum anti-biotics...totally cured his diabetes...and I'm not kidding!!

Maggie, thanks. I think the back pain I have now is my kidneys. The degenerative disc and spinal arthritis seem to be OK for now. My life is in a tailspin somedays.

Many they just make you feel miserable like any infection until it clears up.

I thought it was pretty common, although I can only remember one, over 20 years ago. I just didn't think what the med they gave me was treating was very common - maybe it is ? e.coli/staph ??

I think my liquid sweetener is saccharin ? Not sure, I will have to check. The only aspertame I get is in the occasional jello, I drink Splenda coke .. but I bet its in the Diet Dr. P. Wonder why it has neverbothering me before. I will check the thread out (later).

Oh my goodness Candy I had no idea you werent feeling well. I havent had as much pain before with kidney infections. IF im hurting its usually a stone which are NO FUN. OF course it sounds like your infection is cruddy too. I hope you feel better soon ..sendin ya god health vibes!

I am not sure if I feel better or not. I am too groggy to decide. Dixie, I knew you would be proud. I wound up taking a Demerol last night and going to bed with a heating pad. The pharmacist recommended something called AZO Standard. It is an analgesic for bladders. It is supposed to help with pain, frequency and burning. It turns your urine BRIGHT ORANGE. I was still pretty groggy this morning, so I let Randy bring me to work. I am not sure I will make it all day. I am still chugging the water.

I have used that analgesic before! It is wonderful! And yes, it does turn your pee an awful color but you won't care! Hope you will feel better as the day progresses.

Great job on losing 43 pounds!! I'm sure that your weight being up a pound has a lot to do with the pain meds. Keep your chin up and keep doing the right things. You will get through this. You have had so much attack with physical things lately w/ both you and Hannah. You are doing great handling it all. Just think how you would have made yourself feel better in your past. I would bet you would have gained between 5-10 pounds by now just from the stress eating. You are doing great Candy! I am declaring that this month you will see some good change.

Well folks, the time has come for me to say goodbye .. for a few days.
I am taking another Demerol and going to bed.

We are packed and will be leaving at 7AM. Pray for me on the ride down to the beach .... I fear I will be miserable. We will be crammed in a small vehicle. Not only will I be physically uncomfortable, but I will probably be a nervous wreck as well (with the in-laws). At least at the condo, we can close the door.

They are supposed to have an internet cafe at the place we are staying, but I am not sure if they have computers or if you have to bring your own. We are going to take Randy's parent's laptop, but it is old and struggles to load websites. I hope to be able to check in at somepoint.

Additionally, I hoped to visit all of your journals tonight and tell each and everyone of you how much I will miss you. However, I just can't do it.

It will be a week from Sunday before we return, so I am sure I will have pages and pages to catch up on. I hope you all have a wonderful week and a half. I love you all and will miss you very much.

Candy I will miss you something terrible! I am so glad you found out about the infection before you left for the beach. Just think how that would have been! Hope you can check in but I understand that sometimes you just have to have a rest from everything. We all will look forward to hearing about your trip when you get back. Just some advice.....a person who had been on lc for years told me that when you go on vacation try to not drink alcohol too much and make sure you drink extra water. Those were the two things she said that made her for sure gain weight. Just thought I would share the advice. Sleep well. I will pray for your travel.
