Well, I decided I needed to at least check in. I missed my weigh in with the Gutter Girls yesterday. I did weigh 248. I think I might stop by and post it on yesterday's thread, just so it will be there next week.
I am still in a great deal of pain and still on some pretty high powered drugs. I am supposed to check back with the Dr. today or tomorrow.

Well I thought I should drop by and leave a little update. I have been flat on my back in the bed for a long time. Getting up to eat and go potty about sums up my life the past week or so. Go figure, I finally got a follow up appointment with my family doc on Monday. My doctor has been sick. They called in refills for the meds yesterday and DH went and got them for me. Man, they keep me loopy. Of course being a family care physician, he will just refer me to ortho or neuro I am sure and then I will have to wait weeks to see them. I am hoping they will do an MRI before I have an appt with a specialist.

We have about 3-4 more weeks before we can take DD back to doctor. We are having to keep a diary of all the random things and symptoms to see if some are related to others, etc. One of our main problems was that she had started wetting her pants at times. There were times when she was playing and we just thought she was too busy to stop and go. Then there were other times when we would be sitting at the dinner table and it would happen. She told us she never felt the "urge" , it just came out. I was just convinced she was lying or it was "mental". I was wrong and felt like a big idiot and a horrible mother.

Apparently she is "backed up" with an "abundance of waste". She has never had a problem with this. Goes to the bathroom for that quit regularly and with good amounts. Well, my thoughts of quite regularly aren't in line with what's going on with her, and the "good amounts" were a dead giveaway ....

They did a stomach xray (KUB) and immediatley saw that this was an issue. So in the midst of taking care of me, DH has been having to give DD powdered stool softeners once a day and now she has really started cleaning out. I feel horrible that I can't help, but I can't bend or twist. DH is doing such a great job and I love him so much.

Wednesday, I had some news that one of my dear friends was in the hospital. She had preecclampsia and her small intestine shut down. By Friday, it turned into full blown ecclampsia and she had a seizure. They did a C-section and took the baby 11 weeks early. She had a little girl wighing almost 3 lbs - but healthy. The baby will have to stay there at least 4 weeks.
Meanwhile, baby's mom had another seizure AFTER the c-section -- so they placed her in a drug induced coma. She is still in this state (since Friday AM), and they can't figure out what's causing it. Plus the intestinal issue as well. So, please add "Diane" and Baby Girl to your prayer list as well.

I am going to try and read the Gutter Girl thread and then go see if I can manuever a shower -- poor DH !!

Aww Candy - thanks for checking in. You have so many things going on. I hope the sun begins to shine soon for you, your family and your friend. Your DH sounds like a gem. Tell him this gutter girl offers him a big old hug and pat on the back, for taking care of our Candy.

Bad day ... attempting to go to work and do some paperwork. We will see how long I last. Can't drive on all the meds, so my chaueffer will drop me off and I will get a ride home I guess. Went to the dr. yesterday -- long story short, there was a misunderstanding of appt. time and when I got there, the dr. was not in -- I firmly believe they told me the time that I went. NOW, I can't see him until this FRIDAY at 3:30 -- what a crock. I can't afford to keep missing work. I mean I am getting paid (on salary) but no commissions won't make the house payment ......... ugghh

Diane is progressing slowly. She was able to see the baby yesterday and she lost it -- because the baby has lost weight and is now on a respirator. Still not sure that either one of them are out of the woods .....

And as far as Gutter Girls weigh in, I am skipping this morning. However, I am still down -- 248 (amazing from lying in bed this long, but I have no appetite either).
