You all are so sweet to me. I am blessed to call you ALL my friends.

Today is a bittersweet today for me. I celebrate being a mother to my dear Hannah, but I grieve for my own Mother and Grandmother. It has been such a long time since I had a Mother. Words cannot explain the loss of that "bond". There is none like it. I only hope that I can have the same impression on my daughter's life.

I celebrated (instead of mourned) the life of my Mother on her birthday last month. But today it's much harder. It's so commerical and it's constantly heard, so it is a bittersweet day for me.

It's all OK, I just don't really celebrate much today. I know I should change that. But, as Hannah get's older and realizes what today is ... perhaps it will change.

It will change. You and Hannah will create your own traditions.

Just posting a conversation between myself and SunaBee from her journal:

Not only does she live with you... She's in Hannah too..

And that light and love can never be extinguished.

It reminds me of when I was little... on hot summer nights, catching and cupping fireflies within my little hands. I couldn't contain and hold that light forever, as it's beauty is in it's freedom. The point is you can't always hold the light, though you can always feel it - and because of being so close it it, it becomes part of you.

Through all your sadness, may you always see enough of the light to find an infinity of joy...

There are times that I just want to call her. And it's been 16 years. I think when you lose your mom at a young age, and in a crucial time of your life, it's hard to ever come to grips with it. I mostly see my niece as my mother's image as well. She was born the same day my Mother died. It was a bittersweet day as well. We stood in the hallway and a nurse walked through the midst of us and said "LIFE BRINGS DEATH". OOOHH it made me so mad. I tried to track her down. There was a NO nurse fitting the description (5 of us saw and heard her) that worked there. I truly believe she was a messenger from God.

Candy, I never admit this but Mother's Day is hard for me too for the same reasons. Please try to enjoy your day with your beautiful family. I know it's hard not to look back and to look forward instead. But we must.

Thanks TT.

They are BOTH up now. NO Happy Mother's Day even . The only thing said was "What did you spill on my t-shirt ?". I slept in shorts and one of Randy's t-shirts (reg. XL :up). BUT I didn't spill anything .... I am having those hot flashes and it's plain ole sweat. .

I've been wearing my regular XL t-shirts, too! And there is plenty of room in there! I love how our journeys are at the same place!

Me too Dixie. Beth (LowCarb Mommy) started about the same time as us and she has lost 38lbs. She is closer to goal than we are. But when we get down about our losses, it is comforting to know we really are not that far off track. We are all really doing well.

I started reading Beth's journal recently. I am learning a lot from it - what to anticipate as we get closer to goal, what is working for her, what's not, the advice she is being given by those farther along.
I did not realize she had started at teh same time we did or that she had lost teh same amount. Thanks for pointing that out.

You are welcome Dixie. It's pretty cool. We all 3 get get frustrated and can all 3 eat different things. But we have all lost about the same amount in the same time. So, we must be doing SOMETHING right.

Well, it's turned out to be a good day. Randy came home from the store and he and Hannah gave me a rose and a card from Hannah and a card from Randy with lottery tickets (no winners). Hannah had already signed the card, and they apparently had this planned, so despite my evil thoughts it was not a last minute effort. (The rose wouldn't have "hid" very well).

AND ..... drum roll please .......

I SEPERATED EGG YOLKS FROM WHITES !!

.... and made the Revolution Rolls. I wasn't sure what "peaked" meant, but I turned the bowl upside down and they didn't fall out. So, I thought I was safe. Even had cream of tartar (Randy picked up at Walmart for me). However, I don't think I "folded" the yolk mixture in very well.

Not sure what "break down" totally consists of, but I don't think that was it either. I was "spooning" the rolls onto the pans, and they looked great; until I got to the last two. A little runny yolk mixture that didn't get in there good. So, I just plopped it on top of the last two.

Of course, I did want to get them out of the oven earlier - but I refrained. Four of them actually turned out rather well. We nibbled on one of the "bad ones", and it tastes a little "eggy", but had a decent consistency. I have the other 5 in the fridge.

So, do you slice them or use two for "buns" ?? And what is the carb count for them ?

I did use that exact spatula. However, I missed some in the middle/bottom of the bowl I suppose.

WTG Candy!!

I have put off making the Rev Rolls because the recipe "sounds" gross. So I'm gonna let you be my guinea pig. You'll have to tell me what you think.

T-Man/Timothy (whitelighter) makes them in a muffin top pan. I think I would like to have one of these, as it would keep them uniform. But, I also think they should have been a little stiffer when I plopped them on the pan. That last part was sorta runny. I didn't add any "seasoning" because I didn't have any. But, as I said fresh out of the oven they tasted a little eggy. But, amazingly they do have a bready consistency. More like a pound cake. I am envisioning the endless possibilities. For now, I will wait til tomorrow or Tuesday for my burger and see what I think.

I think I remember that. Did they taste ? feel ? like bread ? Or was it
