Hey Candy! Thanks for dropping by. It seems that since we went back to work everything Has to be done NOW! Yesterday was real busy. After work we went to Ryan's T-ball game. I had to leave early to get to the church for youth group. It was a good night, we had a deputy there talking about drugs, date rape and other stuff. Then on top of that, one of our female leaders and I have been talking to a girl about cutting. I think we are going to have to get her folks involved and let them know. It's been pretty tuff, but we have to do what we have to do.
Thanks again for dropping in! I'll be back soon.

Take care,
Phil

She is taking a razor blade and cutting her arms. Lots of teens, mostly female, cut them selves as a stress relief. When they cut into the skin, they say it's kind of a release for them. This is the second one I have delt with at church, but I know of at least one other girl that is cutting. I'll never understand why...all I can do is listen and offer support. It is pretty cool that they trust you enough to open up like that.

Read this in the ML this morning ... too cute:

Quote:
POEM

Ode to the Whoosh Fairy

Now I lay me down to sleep
A cup of Splenda at my feet!
I'll be good and drink my water--
Leave the grape juice for my daughter.
I promise to eat all my eggs,
So take these bulges from my legs!
I'll eat my pork--I'll eat a steer--
Just smooth these bumps off of my rear!
I'll never even look at jelly,
Pease take the blub out of my belly.
These lips will never taste a sweet,
(Oh if I could only see my feet!)
So, please, tonite before I wake,
A few more pounds--Whoosh Fairy--take!
I miss writing my poetry. I used to write a poem every morning. My morning processes have changed so much since giving birth. Now, it's 2 hours of coffee and internet, and then I rarely get Hannah to pre-K or myself to work in a timely manner.

Well, I got a rude awakening yesterday at Kindergarten registration. Hannah must be there at 8AM.

I won't have to get up an earlier as I have plenty of time. I will just need to not sit here and drink coffee for hours. Perhaps getting in gear will help my days go better.

I will be in/out this morning then I won't be online until probably Sunday AM. This is the last weekend for the circus. We will be there tonight and all day tomorrow.

Good morning! I am sorry that I didn't continue with our conversation last night. After you told me how to make my own weight chart I got caught up in doing that. Now I have to figure out how to put the link in my journal...help. I was also watching my favorite show...Grey's Anantomy...it was 2 hours! Hope you have a wonderful Friday!

Candy, ty for joining Support Unlimited! Want some earrings?

Hey, I want to say one thing this morning to you. You may think an average of 8 lbs a month is slow BUT in the process you are learning to make new foods you would have never previously considered that are good for you... You are eating flax muffins and other yummy sweet treats and still losing weight! You are not deprived of food nor are you hungry on this WOE. Best of all, these changes you are making will last a life time. Those with just a few lbs to lose often can't keep it off simply cause they didn't have enough time and experience to change the eating habits. You and I and the folks who have a lot to lose are really the lucky ones in the long run. You'll see.

TT: Thanks for your support. I will try to stay caught up on the threads ... I am horrible at that. And to know I am on a decent track with weightloss makes me feel much better about all this.

Beth: Glad you got to get the stuff caught up. Just look around the page, I think it might be at the bottom. It says create or get link to make your fitday public. Then you click and it will give you a link. Just copy and paste way. Let me know if you can't find it.

Tonia: Amen, sister it's FRIDAY!!!

Candy..I haven't kept my food journal on there...just played around with it. If I make it public it shows all that crazyness. How do you delete anything on there? I don't see anywhere. I just want my weight to be on there!

You can just mark the box next to the foods on each day and say delete. See if that works.

Thanks that worked. It just won't show the whole thing on the graph! It just shows the last month. I thought the whole graph was cool. I can see it but it is not on there for everyone else. Anyway!

Go to reports and select 4-6 months. But, you are right you can only see it. That's what I wanted you to see on mine last night.

Candy, Love the poem! It's too cute!
I, too, registered my little love for Kindergarten...it was hard to accept that she is a "big girl" She's very excited about going, but she also goes to a private preschool 3 days a week and wants to know why her current friends are all going to different Kindergartens! Everyone lives in different school zones. Maybe we can share Kindergarten experiences! I'm with you on the 8am thing; however my son will continue to go to preschool at 9am so these are going to be long mornings! Same with the afternoons; I think I'm going to be "wasting" alot of time driving around!
Have a great weekend!
