Hey Candy, miss chatting with ya. I'm at the office already... trying to take advantage of nobody around to bother me. I should be home around 9 tonight, so maybe we can catch up then.
Take care and good luck with Miss Hannah and kindergarten today! |

Now, about those hot flashes...I am sure you are much younger than me but is your TOM on time and normal? They hit me hard last year and I suffered with them for a long time. No TOM, hard TOM, ect. I finally got bio-identical HRT, which is made from plants to be an exact match of your own DNA. So much better now! You don't have to suffer.Good morning to Candy's Fan Club! How are we feeling today? I hope the hot flashes are getting better! Why do they never seem to come in the winter?? You know I read somewhere that you can get nauseated when you are in strong ketosis. Maybe that is what is happening to you. I am proud of you for getting back on your meds. How is the swelling going?
You have such a following here that you may have to start a new journal that just has your weight and menu listings. I don't seem to catch what you are eating or your weight status. Do you report these anywhere else? I want to know what you are doing...I saw where TT said that you had averaged 10 pounds a month! That is fantastic. When did you actually start and how much have you lost? Somehow I missed this! I think I have asked enough questions this go around. Hope you have a great evening. I will try to catch you later!

So, I am losing OK ?
I originally wanted 100 lbs in a year, but it seemed unrealistic. I think its more like 8.5 lbs in a month .... dang I thought it was bad. Ok, this sheds a whole new light on the subject. I don't really rely on the sticks, but if I think I went off plan I use them for confirmation. Thanks to all who are here for me. I no longer have TOM, but I still have one ovary and haven't really had hormonal problems but the hysterectomy was almost 5 years ago, so I guess this ovary/hormones could be acting wacky ? Sue, don't be jealous .... you are doing great. And yes Tonia and Sally, she will always be my baby ![]() Thanks again for EVERYONE'S support. You guys are the greatest. And now to brag and confess .... I only had a yogurt for breakfast, and forgot to take my muffin for snack. I left work at 1 and we went straight to the school. By the time we left I was a raging lunatic .... and starving. I bypassed the choc. cookies and the juice. Randy wanted to go get steakums at Walmart. So off we went. They were rather pricey and he commented that we could eat at Cici's for what we were gonna spend on this meal (with cheese, onions, etc). I just looked at him and said OK ( ... hello, what was I thinking). On the way to CiCi's, he then proceeded to tell me that he went to McD's last night a double 1/4 lbder w/super size fries .... . and that he was going to carb cycle since he was closer to goal than me and that he promised never to do it in front of me not to hurt me. The more I sat there on the way (with visions of pizza and cinnamon rolls in my head), the angrier I got that he loses this way. By the time we walked in the door, I looked at the lady and told her to make me the low-carb crustless pizza dish and I proceeded to fix my salad. Randy and Hannah scarfed down pizza after pizza and brownies and cinnamon rolls. I was very pleased with my choice and my food was good and I was just as full as I would have been gorging myself and having to start over. THIS was a MILESTONE for me and I am proud of myself. NO ONE but us would have known if I ate it, nor would they have judged me. BUT you know what .... I WOULD HAVE KNOWN. And that's the ONE person that actually never mattered before. Beth, I am updating my fitday right now, and I will give you the link. Be prepared, it hasn't always been pretty ... but it has always been truthful. I usually post my weight in here after my challenge weigh in on Thursdays. But, I think fitday shows that as well. |

Beth, here is my fitday LINK. You can click on each day to see my foods. The weight chart is at the bottom so you can see my roller coaster.
AND PS: You have lost more than me and didn't we start at the same time ?? We have to count 4 months not 3 -- so the average is less than 10lbs per month. |

Passes the willpower to Tonia ..... I am sooo NOT this way all the time, maybe things are looking up. I wanted that cinnamon roll so bad. I went back and got a piece of the taco pizza and scraped the topping onto my plate for desert.

Candy I can't tell you how proud I am of you!!! I thought you were going to say that you sat down and ate all those things....so glad that you didn't! You know eating that way is going to catch up with your DH. That is what got him in that place to start with! If he keeps playing with fire, it will eventually burn him. Big pat on the back for you tonight! You are so strong!

I just got finished looking at it. You are still losing and eating a little higher in carbs. That is great. I don't think that you have that high resistance. This is all good news for you. I appreciate you being honest in your journal. The only person it hurts if you aren't honest is yourself! You know the only things I saw in there that were higher in carbs were the peanut butter, alcohol, flax muffins. You did much better on your numbers in March than April. How do those months compare in weight loss numbers? Have you been trying to up your carbs lately on purpose by adding those things? You look like you are doing well to me.

I don't technically count the flax in my head because it is so much fiber.. But I allow about 2 carbs per muffin.
Check out this LINK, then I will delete it. I can't tell a big difference in Mar/April but I did have a woosh in April. Weight Change Stats Minimum Weight: 229 lb Maximum Weight: 264 lb Beginning Weight: 264 lb Ending Weight: 231 lb Average Weight: 244.84 lb Average Weekly Change: -1.89 lb |
