Thank you all for your encouragement. I don't want any of you to think I don't want your advice. I am vulnerable, and want to learn. Especially from those of you who have been around the block.

I do think there is room for fluctuation, so I am not sweating this too much. I actually feel good. I show to be between small and moderate ketosis. I plan to perservere like "bamboo" (read story in earlier posting).

I am honored that someone thinks I am a blessing. I just try to be honest and be treated the way I want to be treated. I am blessed to have you ALL in my life.

Now on the other hand, a back rub would be.....oh never mind!


Speaking of sunburns...When I was a wee little boy, I spent the whole day at the swimming pool. I mean open to close. The next day I had blisters on my shoulders at least an inch tall. Now that hurt! I remember that the water felt so good on my shoulders. Little did I know that the water magnified the sunlight.

Good morning Candy! I was a food abuser last night--really bad. All legal but way too much... I went from 157.5 to 159. Remember what I said about fats? I fell right into the cheese and 4 slices later... Today I will do lean meat and eggs only to try a fast reverse. The flax muffin recipe has gotton me into trouble as well as the cheese and there was more I won't mention... I was a bad girl. Please scold me since I know better. Aren't nights the worst?

I want to scold you, but I just can't bring myself to it. I think I find some comfort in knowing that you have made it this far and still struggle. Makes me realize I will be alright. I was having bad hunger pains and cravings last night. I made the revised 3 min cake w/liquid sweetner. I think the powdered Splenda def. takes the bitterness out of the cocoa, or something. I don't know. But, t was the NASTIEST taste I have EVER had in my mouth. What was your limitation on the flax muffins and how many carbs do you can't them as. I am not really following 72 (since I haven't read the book yet), but I don't count NET carbs. The recipe I use says 5 carbs/5 fiber. I count 5 carbs. I really haven't had much cheese this week, nor fat. I was up another pound this morning .... it's amazing how 1 day off plan can screw you up so bad. It didn't lead to binges or falling off the wagon, but it messed me up so much, I know I don't want to do that again for a long time.

Oh scold away--I really deserve it. Not sure about the flax muffins. They were just flax, baking powder and baking soda plus Splenda and Davinci. Oh, and 4 eggs plus 1/4 oil... I think they would be OK for someone not watching fats. Called DD to come get these things outta my house, lol. She's coming. I'm saved. Yes Candy, it is always a struggle. But know this, you can get away with a lot more legal lc foods at the stage you are in right now than I can. But yet I still love ya. haha Seriously, just think of the mess I would put myself into if my binges weren't low carb? Sorry your cake was nasty. I haven't made it again since I abused it too. Please feel free to kick my butt--I need it.

Oh, and I posted a recipe on your chip thread for you. I have abused it as well and always held my weight down in spite of it... So I would say it is abusive-proof.

Hope you got to eat your wings. Hmmmmmmmmm they sound good.

The last time I made wings they were fried, not the hot, sticky kind. Now that's how the kids want to eat them ALL the time.


I don't think you should be afraid to experiment. This is a learning process and with time and our favorite friend, PATIENCE you will get to be where you want to be.

I really need to stay away from it. It's regular Skippy creamy PB. 7 grams of carbs per 2 tablespoons and 2 grams of dietary fiber. I shouldn't be having it but my wife buys it for my youngest son for lunches and it's just hard to stay away from it. I swear I could just sit down and eat the whole jar!

I have some chicken breast that I have been marinading all day in Lawry's herb and garlic marinade in the fridge. I'll have to go fire the grill pretty soon. Fishing fell through for this evening. Maybe tomorrow. I still have some more yard work to do. Jeez...why can't I just take it easy?
