No, I have not.... and maybe that is part of the problem. Since the nutritional info says that one packet of Splenda is less than 1g of carbs, I count two packets as 1g... so I'm counting 4g of carbs for my two cups of coffee.

& for Hannah (and you) today!!! Hope all goes well and they see progress with things flushing out...

As for yogurt... I eat the Dannon Carb Control Vanilla Creme Yogurt, so I don't really mess with the "yogurt exception" perse... cause that's not "real" yogurt ... I like it and trust the counts on it better than the "guestamating" you have to do with the regular stuff... ... just me though... others do it and have no problems. Me, I'm to anal retentive to deal with the guestimates and be OK with it.

As for other dairy products... cheese get to me after a while... but I don't think that it's necessarily because they are dairy, but because of the sodium in them... I do know (for me personally)... my body totally freezes when I eat excess cream cheese (... and by excess I mean an entire block of cream cheese in one sitting...... mixed with splenda and sour cream of course in that cheesecake mixture I mentioned the other day ...). Again, at that point I don't know whether it's a sodium thing or a fat/cal thing... ... but all I know is my body doesn't lose when I'm eating it regularly, so I hold off on that for the times I can't deal with cravings any longer, and that is my indulgence. Also, the regular cheese... same thing. I can be OK with them sometimes, but other times they just cause me to bloat... So, I have to also use these in moderation to see steady losses.

Basically, I had to learn every meal does not need to be made with cheese & cream cheese... (Although I could do that with the recipes I have ...). It goes back to the "everything in moderation". I can try the dessert recipes... but at some point I was eating Jello Fluff for breakfast, lunch and dinner ... so, I had to cut it out cause my losses were trailing off . Same thing with that "cream cheese & peanut butter thingy" I was addicted to through vacation/birthday time last year... Yummy as all get out... legal in every since of the word... BUT, I was eating it for/with breakfast, lunch & dinner... Not acceptable (for my losses)...

As for what's causing you to not lose at the moment... it could be a lot of things... but, the first thing you can do is remind yourself that you're going to have weeks where you aren't losing...that's perfectly normal!!! BUT, if you have added in things these last two weeks that you did not have the weeks prior when you were losing, it's worth backing those out of your regular menus and seeing if the losses return. Keep a log of things you've added and go from there. For me, I tried to keep things as "all natural" as possible during my losing stages last year... It wasn't until October that I added in bars... and just last week that I tried a LC shake ... so, as for how they work for/against me when losing... I'll have to let you know when I get back down to my low weight... ... but I do know I lost VERY consistently when I kept myself to natural foods (meats/eggs/cheeses/veggies) for the most part... with indulgences and LC-treats thrown in to satiate those cravings of deprivation...

You are doing AWESOME!!! It's hard sometimes (I know) to accept that sometimes our bodies just need some time to adjust to the changes we're putting it through... but you are doing great and the losses will pick up again!!!! Patience & Perserverance!!! It will work every time!!!

With vacations and birthdays coming up, I may have to lean on an old favorite to get me through ... except this time maybe I'll try the fat free cream cheese

Ummmmmm the lemon & orange ones were my

.... OK, gotta stop it before I make some up for the weekend!!!!

ETA: It wouldn't have been so bad having it for breakfast... it was just breakfast, lunch & dinner that was causing the problems!!!

Hannah is moving a little .... but not to what I think she should be. I have had so many friends send messages, emails and phone calls. No one wants to scare me, but I don't think I could be scared anymore that I am already.

It might not seem like a big issue about what Hannah is going through. She is only 5, and this SHOULD NOT be happening. I want to get her cleaned out, then I want to find out WHY it happened, so that it doesn't happen again.

I also pray that other things crossing our minds are not what is happening here.

Candy, Hannah is in my thoughts and prayers.

Candy I just read back further in your journal and saw this.

I went through the EXACT same thing with my oldest son when he was little!!!..

He had the horribly bloated tummy, HORRID cramps, he would just cry and scream.

I just wanted to share this in hopes that it can be of comfort that it was all worked out *literally* and I'm hoping and praying the same will happen for Hannah.

It was a long ordeal for us, and at times it was really hard to deal with it without feeling this awful guilt.

Just remember it's natural to feel that. You are undoubtedly her strongest advocate and are taking good care of her.

I actually, (yeah I need to clean out my medicine cabinet huh?!..lol ) have the bottle of stuff left of what helped clear him out. They did Xrays on him, and said he was literally just full of ****... It was aganizing. We were in the hospital multiple times. hated most the powerless feeling, when he would be boated and in such pain, and all I could do was hold his hand.

Hang in there - praying you find out some answers that will bring her some relief.

It WILL get better!!!! I'm here if you want/need t talk about it with someone that's been there!

FOUND THIS FOR YA..

Ham(0R TURKEY..CHICKEN)slices are filled with a savory cheese mixture, then rolled into wraps. To serve as an appetizer, simply slice into 1-inch pieces. Perfect for low-carb diets.
INGREDIENTS:

* 8 ounces cream cheese, at room temperature
* 4 ounces sour cream
* 1/4 cup minced sweet onion
* 2 tablespoons minced chives
* 1 teaspoon garlic powder
* 1 pound deli sliced ham, sliced thin enough to easily roll into a tube

PREPARATION:
Blend cream cheese, sour cream, sweet onion, chives, and garlic powder until smooth.

Spread cheese mixture on ham slices. Roll ham slices into logs. Refrigerate at least 1 hour. Cut ham wraps into thirds for serving as an entree or into 1-inch thick spirals to serve as an appetizer.

Ham wraps are a favorite for those on low carb diets. Wrap each ham roll in a leaf of lettuce for an easy sandwich.

Yield: 6 servings as an entree, 12 servings as an appetizer

Candy - the comment about not looking in your journal if I was hungry was a compliment. I hope it was taken as such. you always post the most delicious stuff and when you're hungry you want it all. or at least I do.

I'm sorry this week as been hard for you. I really hope Hannah gets some relief soon.

We're here for you if you need anything.

I'm with Lisa and Mel - you are awesome!!!

I will catch up on everyone's post tonight, but I wanted to share this ... (just copied from what I posted in the GG challenge thread).

Just popped in for an update. We are back from the doctor. Had a new xray, and we are still "packed" ... he does feel like we have made some progress with the meds. We have to get another bottle of the stuff and keep pumping it in tonight and through the weekend. He is very confident that with this we can totally clean her out. He also believes there are no more serious issues showing on her xray, etc. He doesn't see any indication of anything to lead him to believe there are abnormalities with any organs, etc. So that is a well welcomed relief. She actually is hungry right now and wants to get a bite to it. We will go do that before we start the meds again.
Thanks for all your prayers, and hopefully we can get this all resolved over the weekend.

Hey sweetie! I know you are having a hard time. for Hannah. It will get better.

As with your "stall" - you've gotten some GREAT advice. One thing I might add is that *IF* this is a true stall which I am not sure it is - I agree with Mel that some weeks we just don't lose. You have been under a lot of stress the last couple of weeks with Hannah. Stress wreaks havoc on our bodies. It might just be the stress.

THANK YOU ALL FROM THE BOTTOM OF MY HEART FOR YOUR PRAYERS FOR HANNAH .... I can't express in words how much it means.

Sunabe ... I just might take you up on this. This is the 3rd xray that she has been "FULL". The odd thing is that she has no symptoms ... except an occassional fever and wetting her pants (because the "stuff" is pressing on her bladder). I actually figured we were looking at bladders issues last month when all this came to light.

Hannah actually wanted to eat tonight so we took her out for Mexican. We shared Texas Fajitas and chips and salsa ..... but you know what ?? I didn't care that it wasn't on my WOE ... just for tonight I enjoyed some quality time with my daughter ...

I am not convinced this is a true stall either, so I figure the chips won't hurt me too bad. I do plan to revaluate some things though.

I didn't realize that it WAS NORMAL not to lose every week. I just assumed something was wrong. Perserverance is the key I do believe. And perhaps it is stress. I must believe that it is much better than a gain and it didn't get on me overnight so it's not gonna go away overnight.

I have lost what appears to be some inches, although my measuring tape isn't worth a crap.

I will post a couple of photos and I think I might change the avatar picture. Hannah posed for one for you guys so she said I have to post it ... and I have to share the one of her and Randy when the swapped headband/hat They can NEVER ever pose normally for a picture .... althought I suppose this is normal for them.

Mel, what veggies do you typical eat ? I think that is something I need to work on. I don't think I eat enough.
