Candy ..Candy... Candy..

Thanks for the info on the outfit.. .. I used to shop at Cato's all the time as a high school girl.. lol.. had to be in style ya know..lol.. but I have since moved form that town.. so I don't get there much at all.. seems like I need to be taking a trip.. .. and I know how you feel about spending that kinda money on clothes for yourself.. although some people may think that's a great price for a nice outfit.. people like you and me..lol. may not think so.. .. but.. we all need a few GREAT outfits for special occasions.. so don't feel bad OK.. you and me both SO deserve to look just as good as out kids.. right !!! RIGHT..my kids always look good (when we go out or for school lol).. name brands and all.. but I shop around alot.. Penny's.. value City..the Mall.. Kohls.. what ever.. they always have sale racks.. ..

OK now.. about this faith thing.. let me tell you about a dream I had..

when I started this woe.. not RIGHT when I started.. but I had a long talk with God.. I asked him to help me with this weight loss.. that I was sorry that I took this beautiful body and stretched it out and fed it bad things.. .. I asked him nightly to continue to be with me and give me the strength so do this.. as I lost.. I thanked him.. and continued to talk with him every night.. one night.. I had a dream.. in this dream I was talking with my friend Beth.. and out of the blue.. she just stopped and stared at me.. and as if I was seeing through her eyes.. I saw myself.. I had my hangs up in the air.. like I was hanging form a bar or something.. but I wasn't.. I was holding onto Gods hands.. but you couldn't see anything.. and I was lifting my legs up and down.. and Beth asked me.. how are you doing that..? and I answered her with...... God is helping me by holding my hands... I woke up form this dream with a huge smile on my face.. and I looked to the sky and cried.. and said.. Thank you.. I know your with me.. .. this so brings tears to my eyes just telling you about it.. I believe I put this down in my journal..

now the sad part is.. Now that I look back.. I stopped talking to God every night.. I mean.. don't get me wrong.. I always start to say my prayers and thanks.. but I seem to fall asleep while doing it.. or my mind gets so jumbled up I loose focus.. .. and those weeks before Christmas.. I started slacking.. there for.. not losing.. cheating on and off..

So my dear Candy..God is the answer !!... and you have brought this back to my attention.. THANK YOU!!!!!!!!!!!!

you know.. its so easy for us to "forget".. we get so busy.. life just happens..
I know God knows I love him.. with all I am.. all my heart.. but its so not right for me to "forget" him.. after all.. he NEVER forgets me.. he blesses me daily.. with my family.. my home.. my friends.. my health.. and I know he knows I am thankful... but I should still make it a POINT that thank him and praise him.. DAILY..

Thank you Candy.. I truly mean that .....

Its truly amazing how these "Internet" people can make a difference... ( right dh? ).. whats his name anyway..lol.. I can't remember ever reading his name.. just Hannahs..??.. or I missed it.. ??

My dh is Chris..

Hannah is just adorable.. .. love her school picture.. I like that.. ours is boring.. .. just the normal.. head shot.. .. I usually don't buy them.. because they are expensive..lol.. I takem to wally world or somewhere.. cheaper.. and just put the years on the back.. lol.'m a cheap-O

OK I have wrote a book here.. sorry..

Love ya Candy Girl..

Thanks for making me cry this morning Monet. HA !! Just kidding (well not about me crying). I posted something in your journal. I love you girl.

Dixie, thanks for dropping by. I got brave and posted those pics in the Main Lobby.

And, for those of you who haven't read my post in the Gutter Girl thread today. My loving DH suprised me this morning with MY very own Tony Little Ultra Gazelle. Now, it still has to be assembled ... and although I adore my man .... this could take a while.

I am going to go cook my meatloaf and taco meat, and start some laundry. I also have to find a place for my Gazelle to sit. Somewhere that I will see it and make sure I use it. But, I gotta see the TV right ? This is going to be perfect to glide along to American Idol.

I just read about your hubby surprising you with the Giselle over on the challenge thread - what a sweet heart! I think you'll like the Giselle - it's much easier on the knees than the stair stepper!

You are so brave! I am going to go check out your thread on the main board.

Congratulations on your new Gazelle!! I hope you love it!! But be careful at first. You don't want to have a very wide stride- the wider the stride the more you will feel it in your back. We take for granted our abs and back and don't realize how much we use them when we walk, run, glide, etc.

Good luck! You're doing awesome!!

NO Dixie, you are not too bossy

Ok, I didn't overdo it on the Gazelle. I tried do a normal glide. The first session (10 mins) I only worked the lower half of my body. I didn't use the handle bars. The second session (8 mins), I used the handles. All in all, I was able to get 1.5 miles of gliding or walking or whatever you call it.

The book says start out 20 mins a day for 3 days a week. Then gives an increase plan.

I am excited. Monet, don't go buy one just yet though. It doesn't hurt my back or my knees. But, I could see how increased stride, etc. could do that. Time will only tell if it does me good. But, it said I burned 165 cal. in those 18 mins. Not much, but I figure the longer or faster then more calories burned.

Stayed on plan all day yesterday. Sipping coffee w/ Caramel Davinci and fixing to get in the shower.

Todays weight still 244. But NO gain, so that is always a good thing.

Today's Menu

I have been on the gazelle once tonight for 8 mins, .49 miles. Will get back on later.

Thank you Lisa. I love your avatars. And while you shouldn't wonder what other will say and you should be YOU. I can completely understand. It's a cruel world out "there". That's how Maggie found me and invited me the Gutter Girls. Now I post everywhere, I don't care. I state my questions and my opinions and I am sure that it will bite me again.

I am glad both of you think my menu looks great. I am concerned. I had a SF jello after that and a piece of Atkins meatloaf, another bottle of water and a green tea, which should be fine, right (I had some carbs to spare and I was hungry).

I woke up this morning up a lb. So, I am not happy.

I am sure I shouldn't worry, but I do. I was able to complete 1 mile on the Gazelle. In comparison with my food totals on fitday, the exercise seems pale. Of course I really am not using that portion of fitday.

It is not a good day for me. Was it portions ? The taco meat mix stated it was 3 carbs per serving, which was comparable to the Taco Bell pack. The other brands where 5 carbs. Do you all make your own seasoning ?

Maybe there was too much cheese ... maybe it is just straight out portion control.

I so wish I could find the book in a store somewhere. I browsed the site yesterday. Where is cream cheese listed as allowed ? Flax ? I guess I am just lost. But maybe everyone isn't following straight up Atkins and they are just counting carbs. I really am not sure which low-carb I am following. I was just staying on induction levels for a bit. Are there different inductions ?

Say, on Linda Sue's website the induction friendly recipes ? What plan are they friendly on ?

So, if you drop by share with me which "plan" you follow and if the new Atkins, which phase ? And if old Atkins, then are there levels at all.

I have my book for Dr. Vitken and I think I might just revert back to it. I know I should make up my mind, but I think I need more information to do that.

I guess I do the not really 72 but no fake stuff atkins. Or M/E when lazy.
Remember weight will change daily it may not be any of the things you are worried about may just be water . Plus you did just start exersicing right?????????

You will retain water until your body adjusts stay off the scale and get your baody used to exersice .
SERIOUSLY deep breathe in and out and ina agian.

When i started exersicing regularly I went up , ask on the ML they will tell you the same thing.

Candy - Patience babe. This is an ongoing process. Believe me, I KNOW how frustrating seeing the numbers go up are. Don't worry about it. First of all, you started exercising and second, taco meat is pretty salty. And then cheese.

I'm with you though, I'm been playing around the same 2-3 pounds since the end of January. But I decided to kick it up a notch and exercise. And right now, I'm up. But I know I'm doing everything right and IT WILL go down. We will get through this. Yesterday was not a bad day, just think of it being an ok day.

I follow basically Atkins. Just adjusting the rungs a bit to my taste. I have the new book - '92 - I think. Flax isn't for induction unless it's for.....um........bathroom issues. Some people consider it in the nut and seed rung.

I gotta go. I'll try to come back in later.

ya!!!!

I don't think I exercised ENOUGH to do anything, but you could be right.

I also meant to post earlier that the taco meat seemed really salty to me when I ate it. And you know how I am with pork rinds. BLOW UP like a balloon.

Usually, I weigh as soon as I walk in the kitchen each morning. I sip a cup of coffee then go potty. I weigh when I come back in the kitchen and usually weigh more than before I entered the first time.

So today I do this, and it was 2lbs less than before I went potty. So go figure. Wonder how long scale batteries last accurately ?
