Today I missed breakfast and had an earlyish lunch of Hallumi and avocado salad. I then had a soya coffee and tonight I had a pork steak sprinkled with dried sage, served with a tiny portion on fried onions.

Hope the scales move tomorrow.

Not really, off to the theatre tonight so will just grab some cold cuts before we go. Then tomorrow we are travelling down to our Devon home and will eat on the go, bunless burger or a roast chicken somewhere on route.

Vienna, what a joy to hear from you. Such a beautiful son you have, and a lovely name too. Well done if you have changed your stats from 211 to 154 in 3 months.

I have sometimes looked at your blog but haven't managed to respond. I continue to struggle on. For me it is never an easy task, but somehow I maintain within 7 or 8 lbs most of the time!

137...got to move down to 130.

Yesterday was my 30th wedding anniversary, Pearl. We were 'together' for nearly 9 years before that, so I think we could be called a happy couple. We took three friends with us for lunch at the Ritz Hotel.

It was so lovely but I did allow myself to eat the bread, divine, and even a souffle which was extraordinary. It was a special day and I so enjoyed everything about it but my DH likes me slim, and so do I.

SO today I ate:
scrambled egg and 2 slices of bacon
Egg and bacon sandwich filler
4 slices of cold roast beef
1 glass rose

Yes, a big congratulations to you and your DH. Nice to see people who are happy together for so long these days. It's becoming rarer and rarer, isn't it?

Didn't get much water down really, got busy and forgot all about it.

Cold roast beef and a bit of mayo for supper. I cooked a big joint last Friday and it is still lovely.

I believe I'll have egg mayo for lunch. Sounds good.

Have fun at the theatre, you cosmopolitan woman!

It is just chopped hard boiled eggs mixed up with mayonnaise, I think in the States you just call it egg salad. I often buy it ready made as a sandwich filler, but I am making my own at present so that I know precisely what goes in it.

Well thanks for the encouragement, both of you, but the scales move UP a pound today.

I am guessing it was the salt in the Miso soup and the soy sauce. I won't let it get me down I just posted in your Journal, Lisa, "Only we see the scales, the world sees our bodies." I liked it so much I have adapted it and put it in my signature.

This is just one more reason why I value this support group so much, while helping each other we end up helping ourselves.

Anyway, I went to Zumba this morning, have had a soya latte so far and am about to drive our friend to Heathrow Airport.

WIll pop in later. X

So true, all of it. It's funny how we can be so kind and wise in our advice to others and then turn around and bash ourselves, you know? It's good when we can recognize our own kindness and wisdom and apply it to ourselves. Way to go, Cindy!

And yes, the support here is such a huge reason I have had any success at all. I am so grateful for LCF!!!! Big hugs to all of us!!!!

Oh, I was thinking an egg mayo was somehow cooked/baked with mayo around it in a ramekin. I love egg salad especially in the summer. It's so refreshing!

You are doing great Cindy. I'm sure your clothes are fitting awesome too!

Yesterday was a challenge for various reasons beyond my control but I did okay.

Bunless Quarter Pounder with Cheese, diet coke
1/4 chicken (everyone around me was eating fish and chips) 3 glasses of red wine

Today Was much easier as I have been at home all day.

Cold roast beef
2 soya lates
1 venison burger and some fried mushrooms

Looks like you did very well considering! Good job on avoiding the fish and chips. I don't think I could have!

DH made dinner last night - 3 different kind of chicken tenders 1) barbeque chicken, 2) teriyaki chicken and 3) old bay chicken. We sliced them all up in different little bowls. It was very fun and yummy. I think teriyaki was the winner but they were all very moist and tasty. There isn't much left for leftovers LOL with 2 hungry teenagers in the house!

How lucky you are to have a husband who cooks, mine is wonderful and helps with anything I ask him, but he doesn't cook except for bacon and eggs.

I am having friends in to dinner tonight. We are having Buffalo Mozzarella with warm baby vine tomatoes, basil and red chilli, (with wads of olive oil too of course). Followed by Italian fish stew, which is nicer than it sounds.... They will have focaccia with this, green salad too.

Then, tada, I made a pudding, me, who never cooks puddings. I made Jamie Oliver's chocolate pots. I used 2 bars of 85% dark chocolate, one egg, 1/2 pint single cream, an ounce of butter and 3 tablespoons of Cacao liqueur. Poured it into tiny demi tasse (never use them for coffee any more) and I reckon I could allow myself one of those don't you? Absolutely no sugar, just the cream and dark chocolate carbs. A bit naughty but not bad all things considered.

Was pleased to see 134.8 this morning but I think I would be well advised to avoid the scales after this evening's meal....

Usually my DH cooks hotdogs and beans LOL. My DS loves the beans. My DH will grill things outside on the grill or the inside Calphalon grill. I was impressed with the three different versions. He's good at cutting up veggies for me too!

Your dinner with our friends sounds yummy. Yum, your pudding sounds fabulous. I think we still need to live with the occasional indulgence. I know some of these indulgences don't help our progress but they are still better than the just do whatever we want attitude! I'm sure you will be back on plan tomorrow.

Still using ******, don't know if I need it but it keeps me focused. Certainly quite a time waster.

Down another pound. Couldn't weigh this morning as my scales have died. I bought new batteries and hopefully that will fix it.
