Good for you. I did okay today, chicken salad for lunch and a home made soup this evening, mostly used leftovers, often the tastiest ones I always think. DH certainly loved it.

Off to get my hair cut and coloured tomorrow so that will give me a boost I am certain. I may or may not get to an exercise class first. Depends on how the legs feel in the morning! There were a lot of high steps on part of the river path, quite a stretch for my little legs! LOL

Hope the new 'do' is a success

Must be lovely to have a holiday home in Devon. My sister and family moved to North Devon last month and the countryside looks beautiful - it'll be a nice change to visit her there rather than Hertfordshire (tho my mum still lives there and I like that part of the UK too!).

Have a good eating week

Jan

Thanks Jan, very happy with the hair, I seldom change it now, just shorter or longer bob.

If you visit North Devon we should meet up....

The beginning of another year and I am still enjoying my LC life style.

The biggest change I made last year was switching to soya milk in my coffee. Suits me very well and make me feel really satisfied. I often have a soya latte as a meal, small size too.

Well, let me be honest, yesterday the scales read 134.2. I did eat off plan quite a lot over Xmas and New Year so I am quite happy with that. It seems my body doesn't really want to stay in the 120s too often....or maybe I should say my appetite won't let it!

I started today with a couple of hardboiled egg in some dressing. Very filling.

My lovely daughter, MintQ8, who first introduced me to this site, is in hospital in Oman at present recovering from Swine flu which brought on viral pneumonia. She has been there since 1st Jan and we are hoping that she may be home tomorrow. Needless to say I have been very worried. Feeling better now that she is expected to go home in the next day or so.

Yesterday I had a cheese omelette before going to the theatre yesterday evening and enjoyed a glass of white wine and some smoked almonds at the theatre. Oh yes I had a soya milk coffee too, home made so I know exactly how many carbs are in the soya milk.

Today I have had 2 hardboiled eggs with a little salt and pepper and a Soya Latte at Costa's.

We will be eating fish with creamed spinach tonight. May see ketosis tomorrow.

My daughter is home from the hospital at last and, although very weak, is on the road to recovery. So relieved.

Cindy~ Your long term commitment to this way of eating, even when indulging, is inspirational. Thanks for being a great example.

So sorry to hear about your daughter's illness. Hope she is able to recover quickly. Glad she's out of the woods, so to speak.

Cindy - I'm so glad your daughter is home and I hope on to a speedy recovery. That's scary being so far away!

How do you make your own soya milk? I love, love, love creamed spinach! I'm going to have to make some of that soon!

Hi Lisa Ann, the latte was made at home, not home made soya milk! Not making myself clear there. Yes, it is at times like these that I so aware of the distance between us.

I was happy to see 132.6 on the scales this morning. I must be doing something right.

Hi Cindy, I was thinking that you made the latte and not homemade soya milk after I posted. Sorry! Do you heat up the soya milk? Do you add any other sweeteners? I'm thinking about making that switch too. I'm trying to severely limit my dairy while I'm starting over again.

Your are doing awesome! and B is right such an inspiration!

Yes, I use Splenda, doesn't give me any issues.

Well good eating this W/E but wine on both days. I should claim the Drinking Man's Diet as my WOE rather than Atkins, lol.

Off to the gym for the first time in 4 weeks tomorrow. Body Combat Class at 10, I will feel it.....

Combat was great, I fair flew, but how I will feel later is anyone's guess.

I measured my waist today 31.25 inches. I would love to see that under 30 again. Intend to measure on Mondays for a while.

So how is my week going? Eating on plan. Wine every day so far! None today though.

Combat, Aerobics and Zumba so far. Rest day today. Zumba tomorrow.

I won't weigh until Monday. I hate the scales here in Devon. they only weigh a pound or so heavier than my London ones but it really bugs me. How silly am I?

Tomorrow is a busy day. Facial at 11. Zumba 1.30 - 2.30. Hair cut and highlights 3.30.

Is that you Cindy in 1967?

Sounds like you are doing well this week. I've been on plan too and limiting my wine as well. I must be in the zone because I haven't been hungry at all yesterday or today and have that yucky headache!

I only like my one scale too. It's the friendliest! if you know what I mean!

Yes, that is me at a wedding in Kuwait carrying my eldest daughter. I made my own hat and suit. So wonderfully dated.

Good work on the hunger loss. And I so understand the scales issue....

I only wish my busy looked like your busy! I know it's well-deserved, though, Cindy, so I hope you're enjoying your busy life!

Enjoy that wine. You only live once.

Had a good weekend and was down a pound today. .25 inch off my waist too, that is because I am back to exercising after all my laziness over the holidays.

Well I came across some 'before' photos yesterday. Visitors may like to see them, I do not!

If you click on the Kissa link above the photo in the avatar photo, it takes you to the profile page, and you can see the album there.

134.8 this morning, too many glasses of wine and a lovely holiday in Germany. Just masses of food! I went as high as 138 last weekend so I have done pretty well this week.

Miss you, B, Lisa Ann.

Well, personally, not too bad. I'm busy, but you know that! Because I have been busy and will be for about the next 15 years. Maybe 20! Struggling a little with fatigue and lack of motivation. But working through it and trying to eat healthy and take good supplements and generally be well. All in all, I'm not too bad, really. I have a lot to be thankful for.

And I'm looking forward to the spring. I bet you've been taking lovely walks again amongst the early wildflowers, haven't you? Are the bluebells blooming there yet? If not, soon, right? Enjoy!

Kissa,
Thanks for stopping by my journal. I have been checking in on you a bit this spring too but will be stop by more often now! I had to chuckle too when B said she laughed in a kind way about your red wine and pretzel night. Yes, we've all been there!

Thanks for all your support and your dedication to Atkins!

Yes, that was a nice moment. All we can do is our best, and sometimes it is harder than others.

Need to be honest in my stats. 136 for most of this week!
