Nice 124 this morning. Everything fits so nicely. It is like having a new wardrobe.

Off to Austria on Saturday, non skiing holiday. So looking forward to the food, although Down Days will be a challenge.

Kissa, a few weeks back I stumbled across your journal randomly -- as I do from time to time when visiting journals -- and began following your progress, enthusiasm and apparent zest for good life, good health and good attitude.

I just wanted to officially stop in and openly congratulate you for finding a way of eating that works wonderfully for you and gives you the freedom to enjoy eating and living while keeping your weight off and maintained. I'm sure that's a very liberating feeling for you. And although I haven't followed you on other parts of the LCF boards, my guess is that you have inspired countless other JUDDD followers and people who too have found success with this way of eating. Fabulous.

Have a wonderful day, and keep up the good work and spreading your wonderful attitude and friendship.

Wow, Twyla how very, very sweet of you. I have followed your around the boards for many years and have admired your commitment and results.

I am loving this way of eating and do hope others who are struggling may benefit from my experience.

123.8 after a lovely UD yesterday.

I was away in Austria for a week and had my lovely sister stay for a couple of night each end of that so I am only just feeling back to normal.

We (my daughter, MintQ8 is Juddding with me) continued to JUDDD while on holiday and although our DDs were a bit higher than usual we ate some wonderful food and returned only up about 3/3.5 pounds up.

All of that weight has gone for us both already, and Vicky dropped another 2.5 lbs today. She has now lost 22.5 since stating JUDDD on 22nd November. I am so very proud of her.

Back to Zumba yesterday, felt great after such a long break.

123 this morning

Still maintaining happily. Most days between 123 and 125, eating so well of such a huge variety of food, and so enjoying the restriction of the Down Days. This is so surprising, as I couldn't have imagined being happy on 500 calls a day or less.

JUDDD is just life changing.

I just posted this in the new JUDDD Maintenance Lane.

I look back over the past 3 or 4 years and I called myself a maintainer in the Maintenance Lane on the main Board. And I was maintaining. But I was maintaining a good 7 to 10 pounds above the weight I am now.

I had accepted that I would choose 130 as my goal and as a rule I weighed between 3 and 5 pounds above that. I was not unhappy but I believed my metabolism and my age meant I had to 'settle' for that.

Since reading about JUDDD and starting it at the end of October, weighing 132, I have not only reached my earlier goal of 126 but dropped below it and have only seen that figure 3 or 4 times. Most days I am 123 or 124 lbs.

Also my body has changed shape so much, I didn't measure but everyone comments and I am in smaller and smaller sizes.

I have always exercised. But now I 'fly' through my workouts while before I struggled on occasion. My arthritic knee hardly bothers me.

I feel 10 years younger. I wish I could share this with everyone who is struggling with weight loss.

Thank you JUDDD, and thank you all my JUDDD BUDDDs.

Cindy,

What a great testimonial to JUDDD!!!

I am still in that frame of mind of maintaining at a higher weight, and I really am wondering if it is indeed, my age.

However, being the eternal hopeful that I am, I rather think that's not the case, since JUDDD seems to work on a lot of other minute details of our metabolism.

I'm playing around with UD calories a bit to see if I can shed a few more lbs. so that when I resume my weight training I won't see a substantial weight gain.

You're doing awesome and hope to join you soon in the lower weight maintenance group!

Thanks Gracie. I love your latest plan of cutting back just a little on you UDs to see what happens.

I have to 'fess up to my huge UD on Tuesday. I guessed my calories at around 2700 but it may well have been more.

The scale told the tale yesterday, 128.2 lbs, up 4.5 lbs overnight. I stayed calm and just did a good DD.

I was rewarded today with a 4 lb drop! I cannot think of another diet I have ever done that would have given me such a quick bounce back.

Today is a Medium Day as I am going to one of Britain's best restaurants for lunch on Sunday.

Gracie, why have we had to wait so long to find this wonderful method of weight control.

I seem to remember reading that you didn't have a weight problem until you were 'mature'... How fortunate you were, at least for a number of years, if that was the case

I have dieted for almost all my life. I was slim, too thin even, as a teenager but after my second daughter was born when I was just 21 I have done one diet after another.

I look back with such sadness at all the years I have denied myself this food or that. I loved Atkins, but now realise that I over ate so much even when I wasn't really hungry. Or I ate too little and therefore slowed down my metabolism.

This evening DH and I will eat some tuna, marinated in Moroccan spices, some couscous with apricots, red peppers, green onions and chilli oil, green beans with garlic and lemon juice, followed by a 'crepe' with lemon and Splenda. My whole meal will be around 600 cals.

Oh and I am enjoying a glass of good red wine before heading to the kitchen.

Tomorrow I will not weigh 122.2, but I will have had a wonderful day of great food. And I love my DDs, prawns are featuring tomorrow.

Love to see you here. I am missing some of my other visitors though.

Yes, Cindy, I didn't have too much of a weight problem most of my life. I was dealing with 10-15 lbs when I did and in later years......went to 30 after moving to Florida. Took care of that and it's funny, because I'm dealing with those same 10 lbs once again!

I feel badly that you feel sad about the past years when you felt so deprived. But it is 'now' that counts, and you are exceeding all expectations of yourself. You've quite earned it.

Yesterday morning I weighed 121.

I am still astonished by this way of eating. I am not even trying to lose. My Up Days have been pretty outrageous lately although I do try to keep the DDs under 500. I don't find it at all hard.

I was away overnight and I am sure my weight will have bounced up.

Tomorrow will be interesting. If I see anything under 123 I may change my stats.

Oh girlie friend, JUDDD is working for you famously, but then again, you worked it well.

Your new low is amazing, and before you know it, you'll have to change calorie counts so you don't continue to lose.

Now, isn't that a hoot!!!

Thanks Gracie, it was nice to have some slack!

This is the first week that I have had to break my rotations and I have had three UDs in a row.

I had dinners on all three evenings that could not be avoided and where I was not in control of the menus. So I tried to fast all day on the second two days.

I also got to the gym every day this week, which helps.

Amazingly this morning my weight was only 123.8. I was frankly astonished.

Today has been a good DD of 500 cals.

I have dinners out tomorrow and Saturday too, but life happens and it appears that JUDDD and my body are in sync nicely at present.

Another busy week, and not the easiest as I had my lovely sister and her DH staying with us.

Had to slot in MDs and abandon DDs, I certainly drank way to much wine but, amazingly, after one really good DD yesterday I weighed 123.2 today. (I wisely did not get on the scales for a few days beforehand.)

Can't complain about that.

Cindy,

I may have missed the post but am wondering how you did with your extra calories on your DD!

I think it was on Monday??

I'm curious because I've been doing a tad of experimenting, but have to give it a bit more time to see any valid results.

Hi Gracie, it was no problem. I was only up a tiny bit, can't remember exactly, 123.2 I think but after yesterday's really carby UD I was 123 this morning! Loving JUDDD.

I am enjoying a good healthy DD today. I read the 1.Boost 2.Burn, repeat ...thread, with great interest and have decided to see if it works. I am really keen to get my metabolism working at its optimum. So lower carb DDs and whatever I fancy on UDs.

Posted this on another thread and decided to put it here as it sums up my journey over the past few months.

"I started JUDDD at the end of October and have not only hit goal (126lbs) but have been at or below my goal since mid December. All through Xmas, New Year and a week in Austria with family in a hotel.

I started off staying LC, but introduced carbs, and now I must be honest, I eat anything and everything. I didn't believe this was possible for me. I expected all kinds of binge issues, I was scared.

But I have never felt better in my life.

I won't lie. I am loving the slices of cake I never expected to eat again. I am loving the pastas and the risottos. I am simply loving life.

I am not saying that anyone else will have my experience. Or that anyone needs to introduce any foods they feel are unhealthy or undesirable.

But the choice is entirely up to the individual. JUDDD will still do its magic, for the majority of those who try it."

Lovely to see you B, yes I am so happy doing this, and I do eat lots of healthy food too.

Today was a boiled egg, homemade carrot and mint soup and a slice of a friend's cake, very healthy and Low fat, lol. Not an Atkins friendly cake.

Oh and a small glass of sherry with the cake.

Hi Cindy,

It's been awhile since I've seen any entries in your journal, so thought I'd pop in to say 'hi'.

You are doing amazingly well, and the freedom and ease of JUDDD is serving you quite well, as it is me.

I so want to be a supporter for our fellow JUDDDers, but I'm finding it's getting tougher and tougher especially with the influx of newbies on the thread. I just can't keep up especially with the popularity of JUDDD growing each day.

I thought that maybe posting to 2-4 threads may make it a bit easier, but alas, I'm finding that difficult, as well, since other interests have grabbed my attention.

I certainly don't want to be one of the maintainers that disappears, so I imagine the best course of action is to post when I can.....yep, I knew that!

You continue to be a wonderful asset to our JUDDD world, and have a unique and sweet way of imparting your wisdom!
