My new thing is that I am tring to kick caffine. I have been drinking only one "loaded" diet mt. dew a day. All the other pop I drink is caffine free. No real headaches as of yet but like I said I am having 1 loaded every day sooo...

but there is a song "i'm in love with a stripper..." i doubt you'll hear it on american idol however. monet, you're so goofy.

caffiene is hard to kick, maybe that's why i haven't kicked it yet! make sure you're drinking all your water down too. i make myself to 60 oz of water before i have any other drink, coffee, pop, etc. water water water. nothing flushes the system better than water.

post some more menus, big boy!!

Start weight: over 300 lbs.

Todays weight: 286lbs.

Loss of : 0lbs.

Total loss to date: 14lbs.

Goal weight: 250lbs.

I'm pissed! I am the same weight as I was last week. I ate clean all week and all weekend long and I didn't lose a thing. I did have a low carb wrap from subway yesterday but I wouldn't think that had much to do with it. Who knows. I know I am frustrated. I am wondering about adding more carbs to my WOE. I am eating no more then 10 carbs a day.

Your thoughts?

On the other hand......I am down 14 pounds in a month. I could of done better but14 is better then none.

I am doing a 2 week induction challange with Monet.

B.....3 SEC muffins
S.....2 cheese burgers
L.....3 more SEC muffins...hey, I was ina hurry this morning.
D....no idea, i'll tell you later.

don't fret the 0 loss. your body needs time to adjust. monet can tell you about her stall... what was it, 4 weeks? if you keep up your clean eating you know you'll see a loss sooner or later. measure measure measure!!!

hey Doc..

sorry no loss this week.. but it does happen.. and it was more like 8 weeks I think.. then I went off Atkins for Christmas Holidays.. gained 12.. and have lost 6 so far.. so I know your pain.. soo. lets hope this induction kicks it up a few notches..

oh and welcome aboard Krissy.. .. we can all do this !!

oh and Phil.. try to get as close to 20 carbs a day ok.. it helps.. .. in more ways then one.. plus.. if your body thinks its starving.. it will hold on to that fat.. so eat more MR...

ok I am off to read more journals and do me own.. you two..

Hello!

Sorry I haven't been around for awhile. I've been a busy little boy....a naughty one too. The good news is that my weight has only gone up 3 pounds since I left. However, I have or had been eating all kinds of crap, so I'm just now getting back on track. Anyway....here I am.

On Friday Feb 2 I went to Wal-mart after work to pick up some medicine. When I got back out to the Bronc, it didn't want to start. Finally I got the old girl to fire so I made it home and stuffed her in the garage. The next morning, the fun began. We went to Ames Iowa to look at a 99 Durango, a 98 Durango and a 90something explorer. I don't belive that the sales men knew what to think of me. I let him know what I thought of his cars...right in the middle of his showroom floor. He was not pleased, but that's what you get for making me drive 3 hours to test drive a peice of junk. He really didn't want anything to do with me anyway since I didn't want to spend more than $5000.
We stopped at a gas station on the way home to get some drinks and I grabed a cars sales paper. I found a 98 Chevy Blazer and called to guy. I liked it, he dropped his price and I bought it. So now I have a decent SUV.

So that's whats up with me. Weigh in tomorrow morning. I'm not expecting much but that's what I get.

Hey.

Well.....where do I start. I just don't know. Once again, I weigh over 300 pounds. 302 to be exact. I look like crap, I feel like crap and I've been eating like crap. I am tired all the time. I don't want to get up and do anything. Ijust feel so lazy and it's an awful feeling! I don't know what plan to follow anymore. I love veggies and fruits. Problem is they are high in carbs. I have a freezer full of meat, a front quarter of a beef, and it's grillin season. So if I could combine low carb, with fruits and veggies, everything would be cool. I just don't know anymore. I do know that I have to do something.

HELP?

hey sweets.. glad your back on here.. I need ya buddy.. so don't leaveee..lol..

I wish I had the magic answer.. I really do.. ok.. so your 302.. your not back to 315..was that your start weight or was it 318? my memory isn't good..lol.

first off.. your a guy.. and second, we are all different.. right.. so why don't you try this.. and this is just a suggestion.. you ant veggies.. eat as many green veggies as you can/ want..maybe pick 2 days a week for a higher carb veggie? .. and maybe once a week.. a fruit? maybe make Sunday you special fruit day? I , myself , don't have a problem not eating fruit.. now a potato every now and again would be nice.. my problem is SWEEEEEETS..

so.. I need to work on this one.. so any suggestions form you will be appreciated.. hehe...I know I can do lc sweets.. but then there is portion control.. .. yesterday was a total bad bad bad day..

ok.. lets try to do this ok.. if you leave here.. I can't try and help. ..

OK, since you spoke to me in Becky's journal ( and I replied), I felt that I could pop-in your journal. So, you are feeling lazy because of the carbs being back in your system. Let's GET UP and do this. If you have Monet in here with you, you have one of the best encouragement and support buddies available. But, she's right ... you gotta be here !! Talk it out ..moan & groan, but's let do this. We are all in this together.

hi hotschtuff. i completely understand how you feel. i've halfway abandoned LC because i've changed my schedule. maybe you should try a lower calorie diet? that's what i've taken a stab at. i realized i can have a sandwich for lunch and still have a LC dinner and be ok with my carbs as long as i put in my 2 miles with the dog daily. don't beat yourself up, though, you know what you need to do.

and hand over some of that beef and add in a couple fish dinners!!

hey phil, if you're gonna try low-cal, something to look into is your basal metabolic rate, the amount of calories you burn a day just from daily living... digesting enzymes for your belly, burning calories for your muscles, etc. google the equation and see what you come up with. my BMR is around 1300, so my body needs 1300 calories just to live and get through a day. i'm guessing yours would be around 1800? that's kinda what i've been basing my meals on, and i've guesstimated that the main carbs i eat are: apples and bread. the bread i use for my sandwiches is 11 net carbs for 2 slices, and an apple is 22 carbs, an english muffin for breakfast is also around 15 carbs, and also a yogurt snack for 7-10 carbs. i try to eat my carbs in the daytime instead of carbing out on dinner. and i've found that cheerios is a big no-no for me. cheeriios = no portion control!!!! :blush:

i've been eating low-cal since last week. haven't weighed yet because i went off plan when BF got home, but as soon as he's out the door again i'm right back on the diet horsey!!
