Good morning!
I was 279.4 today. I'll be headed out soon. I am golfing today with a group from our church. It will be the first and last time I golf this year. I'm going to have fun. Who cares about keeping score.

My bow is all tuned in. My broadheads are grouping right along with my field points. If I get a couple stands up I'll be ready to start hunting. I can't wait!

Let's see...what else is going on. I am going to Minneapolis Mn a week from next Tuesday. I'm going to a tool show up there and maybe I'll talk the other guy into going to Cabela's.

Hope everyone has a great Sunday!

Take care,
Phil

Hello!

I havn't posted since last Sunday. Sorry about that. I am still sitting at 279 pounds. I'm ready to see the scale move but I dout it will be this week. I leave Tuesday morning for Minneapolis for a tool show and I'm sure there won't be low carb food. So I will call it a planned cheat, as well as a welcomed vacation from work. I get paid for both days and work picks up the tab for food and lodging. SWEET!

A buddy and I put up some treestands today. I hadn't been in a treestand in over a year so my body and mind were not used to being 15 feet in the air. Add another 6 feet to that for my height and your looking at 21 feet up...or a long freakin' ways down! Anyway, we have 3 more treestands to put up prob. next weekend.

Yes Eileen, we are both getting geared up for hunting season!

If I don't check in tomorrow I'll see you all on Wednessday night!

Take care,
Phil

Good morning!

I had a great time at the show. I was able to see tons of cool machies and other stuff. Plus, they had a beer tent! Complete with beer, brats, burgers, beans and polka music. I could of done with out the polka. That just doesn't get it for me. After the show we checked in to our hotel and then went to eat at the hotel restraunt bar and grill. There were allot of toolsales men from the show there. We didn't pay for a single drink or our food that night. The sales guys picked up out tab all night long. I'm sure that the 3 of us racked up over 150 bucks in food and drink. I THINK I had 6 draws of coors light and called that enough. I don't drink often so that was allot for me. After that I started drinking water for the rest of the night and was sobered up for the walk back to my room.

We stopped at Cabela's on the way up. It was cool to walk around Cabela's for 3 hours and get paid at the same time.

Now, as a result of all this my weight is only up 3 pounds. Not to shabby if you ask me.

UGH!

Today was simply awful! I woke up with the munchies and had them all day. I finished the day with 2 double cheese burgers and fries. I'm stuffed and feel like crap. I'll jump back on the wagon tomorrow. This is what I get for NOT making my breakfast muffins.

As far as hunting, it's to warm for me to go yet. I like it cold!

Don't sweat it. Just get back on tomorrow! You can do this! The holidays are around the corner so we have to lose as much as possible before they get here. That means NO Halloween candy! Don't let it go any further. You'll be angry at yourself if you do. And as always (since you ask me)....Drink your water!!!!

The weather is odd for this time uhu... gonna be in the 80's here all weekend.. would be nice to be "a little" chilly but I am not gonna complain..lol.. but for you hunters.. I guess it needs to be.. in all your hunting gear.. just think of the good sweat you'll get being up in your tree..

ok have a good one..

Here I is!

How am I doing? I'm doing I guess. I haven't been eating the greatest but that changed with supper tonight. I have left overs for lunch tomorrow AND I made muffins for breakfast too, so tomorrow ought to be a good day.

Yes, it's to hot to hunt for me. I have heard of some monster whitetail being seen and taken in the last 4 days. I figure that Oct. 27th will be my first day in the timber. I told my boss that I'll give him the next 3 Saturdays at work but after that he WILL NOT see me at work on a Saturday untill after the first of the new year!

This dog is ready to hunt!

Take care!

Hello!

Sorry I haven't been around. I have been doing stuff around the house and just haven't felt much like posting much. Anyway....I have gained. I can tell with the way that I look and the scale hasn't been good to me. I weighed 288 this morning but I'm pretty sure I can shed some water weight quick.

I have not been hunting as of yet. I plan to hit the timber on Oct. 27th. Sunday morning I got up at 5:30, went to town for some coffee and drove around looking for deer. I saw 6 deer with in a mile and a half of my place, nothing huge but they were deer.

I have been cleaning the garage and throwing EVERYTHIG away! I need to get things cleaned up for winter and ready to hang deer. Folks, I am so ready to kill something (deer) it's driving me crazy!

Hope all is well with you.
Take care,
Phil

Hey buddy.. good to see you..

last week it was down right chilly here... I was thinking.." wonder if Phil is hunting..lol ".. now its back in the 70's.. but thats Indiana for ya... it was in the 40's and 50's.. geesh..lol..

I went to my dads this past Sunday and took a few pictures for you and Krissy.. they are on my computer at home.. so I will have to post them later.. but my dad has a pond.. and it has catfish.. bass and something else in it.. well... my step mom feeds these fish.. oats and bread.... they hear her voice and all come swimming over to the dock,.,,.. the pond is down because of lack of rain this summer.. but you can see them things just as plain as can be.. so I took some pics..I thought.,. they wont believe me..
so when ever I get the computer for any amount of time , I will post them for ya..lol..

have a great day huh...

Hello!
I am down to 281 as of this morning. My wife is at a wedding and I am home with the boys and getting hungry. I need to go cook something soon! Man a pizza sounds great right about now. I'll stay away from that stuff...mainly because I am too cheap to go to town and get one. I would most likely just buy some meat or something like that. Anyway, I need to go cook up some grub.

Hope everyone is doing well!
Take care,
Phil

Why not fix a skillet pizza. I have even taken the basic recipe of Linda Sue's deep dish and fixed it in the skillet. You are on your way back to the 170's....don't blow it now!!! Keep up the good work. Have a great weekend!

OK, here's what I do for a quick pizza.....I use the basic concept of Linda Sue's recipe below......I will mix up eggs, cream cheese, parmesan cheese, italian seasoning, garlic powder, and mozzeralla cheese and put it in a greased skillet pan. Cook it on both sides until it looks like a pancake. Then I just spead the sauce on it and add toppings and cheese. It is a quick and easy pizza. But here's her pizza if you want a longer version of it. I don't use the parchment paper or let it cool. I just cook the crust, take it out and add my toppings, then put it back in the oven to let the cheese melt. Hope this helps

Linda's Deep Dish Pizza

Ingredients:
4 ounces cream cheese, softened
2 eggs
1/4 cup parmesan cheese, 1 ounce (I used the kind in a can)
1/4 teaspoon oregano or Italian seasoning
1/4 teaspoon garlic powder
8 ounces Italian cheese blend or mozzarella cheese, shredded
1/4 cup pizza sauce
4 ounces mozzarella cheese, shredded
Assorted toppings: pepperoni, ham, sausage, 4 ounce can mushrooms, green peppers, bacon, ground beef, etc.
Dash of garlic pepper or garlic powder and some Italian seasoning for top of pizza

How To Prepare:
In a medium bowl, whisk cream cheese until smooth and creamy. Whisk in eggs until mixture is well-blended and smooth. Add the parmesan and seasonings, then stir in the 8 ounces of mozzarella until completely moistened. Spread cheese mixture evenly in a well-greased 9x13" glass baking dish or lightly greased and lined with parchment paper (see note below). Bake at 375º 20-25 minutes or until evenly browned, but not too dark. Let cool completely on a wire rack. When nearly cooled, take a metal spatula and carefully pry up the edges to loosen from pan. Ease the spatula under the whole crust to loosen. Keep crust in the pan. This makes it easier to remove the finished pizza later. Refrigerate, uncovered, until shortly before serving time.

Spread chilled crust with pizza sauce, then cheese and toppings of your choice. Lightly sprinkle with seasonings of your choice. Bake at 375º about 15-20 minutes or until toppings are bubbly. Let stand a few minutes before cutting.

Glad to hear the blood work was good. That cholesteral can be a nasty thing. And great job on the 7 pounds coming back off. Those rebound pounds are buggers to lose.
