It's been another good day. I am feeling so hopeful now. It takes a lot of time to find my way around this site and I haven't learned much about the technical part, but the people have some amazing stories to tell. Read some posts from some who have problems with drinking and from others who have it under control. I know how hard it is to break away from sugar, so I can't imagine how hard it is for an alcoholic. Also, I had no trouble quitting smoking when I was ninteen, but to give up coffee?!!! I did give it up when my husband was so sick and I needed all the strength I could muster up to look after him. Didn't drink it for a year. But now, it is something I really don't want to have to quit - ever. We'll see how it affects my weight loss. Today I put in my mouth:1 coffee (cream, splenda/honey because the honey takes the edge off the flat taste of the splenda) Lunch: 2 fried eggs in butter with 3 slices bacon Late afternoon: another coffee Supper: Salad, with Caesar dressing/Asian sesame dressing mixed Linda's low-carb pizza (from yesterday) too salty for me! But my husband liked it. I will look for another low-carb pizza recipe for next time. About 1/2 cup of low-carb chocolate pudding Spent most of the afternoon looking around this site. Tried to reply to some of the posts for a change. No one knows me here yet. Bought some beautiful shirts today - cool, cotton and great quality. What would I do without Value Village? Now I will never again wear styles or colors that don't suit me - even at this weight. I feel lighter and am sure I looked lighter in the changing room when I bought the shirts. Almost bedtime. It's just about midnight. Am happy tonight, again! No pills either. Mammogram tomorrow though. Ugh! |
