Oh, thank you, Twyla!

Fresh is my new word! I've created a journal with that name and I am recording all of my thoughts, food, exercises, and motivational thoughts in it.

I received a not-so-good diagnosis from my chiropractor and it's time for a fresh start. Time for a change. Time to stop the excuses.

I start my 12 week program with the chiropractor to get out of crisis on Monday. I'll be going 2 or more times a week. Perfect way to keep the motivation going. There will be a re-evaluation at 12 weeks and then 12 weeks of healing. So, 24 weeks or about 6 months to work on me...spirit, mind, body.

Weigh-in tomorrow.

I've had a great week eating on plan. I purchased some frozen salmon for the first time and have been enjoying it.

I've had two chiropractor appointments and am starting to feel some relief.

200-192 so 8 pounds!!

Journaling this week has really helped me. I'm keeping track of my food, but mostly, I'm keeping track of my emotions. If I can write them all out I won't need to stuff them down with food. I'm also recording motivational statements I come across.

Fabulous job, Elizabeth.
That new journal appears to be helping you out with key hurdles.
Emotions being one of them. I so know about THAT.

I'm a quote collector too -- motivation magnet!

Keep up the good work!

Thank you, both!!!

Difficult week. Hormonal. Too busy. Fell down on the journaling, but got right back to it on Thursday. What a HUGE difference in my eating and attitude. I must MUST journal.

Weigh in tomorrow. Not expecting much, but that is okay because I am on track.

Weigh-in- 192.5 Up 1/2 a pound. I'll take it since I know it is hormonal weight.

Things that went well this week:
No emotional binges.
Two chiropractor appointments. My back seems to be on the right track.
Got right back to journaling after a few days off.
Made a White Castle pie to eat all week. This especially helped for breakfast.

Negatives for this week:
Too busy. Missed some journaling days.
Allowed myself to get too hungry on one of my too busy days. Resulted in eating off plan.
Not enough sleep.

Blip was in the middle of the week and I've been fully back on plan since Thursday. Being able to look back at my journal and analyze what happened REALLY helped.

"Progress has little to do with speed, but much to do with direction."

Goals for this week:
Journal in my Fresh journal (at home.)
Check into this journal everyday this week.
Continue reading Motiv8n' U by Staci Boyer.
Two chiropractor appointments.
I have several busy days planned this week....plan and pack my food.

I went to bed last night feeling like a fat burning machine.

I was rewarded this morning with a loss.

Another on-plan day. I made spaghetti squash for dinner and have enough for two or three more days.

I'm playing the up-a-pound/down-a-pound game right now. I'm pretty sure that 190 is a set point for me. I remember this game from before. I will not let it derail me. I am staying the course.

Let myself get too hungry again today. Blah. But, no binge, so that is fantastic. No off plan food. Again, a victory.

I just made an Atkins Meatloaf frozen meal. <shudder> I couldn't even finish it. I won't be buying that again.

My back is feeling better.

I'm going to a baroque concert tomorrow night.
I might have plans for Friday night.
Church and date night with my husband on Saturday.
Super bowl party at my house after Bible study on Sunday.

I need to come up with a game plan and get to the grocery store soon!

Weigh-in day- 191 Down 1.5 from last week. I should be happy with this because it is a loss, but I was 190 yesterday. I really hoped to be in the 180's this Saturday. It's that pound up pound down thing. Even though I ate clean yesterday, I ate late at night before bed.

Also, the chiropractor also really worked on my back this week. Extra cortisol?

I went to an MMA event last night. Amazing athleticism. My friend is a part of the gym that hosted the event. I would love to be able to take some of the classes but my back is just not there yet. I will work hard to get there.

It's February. My goal is to be down the low 180's. I would really like to be lower, but I think 182 or 183 is realistic for me right now.

192 Up 1 lb.

And it's okay. I'm working through some mental blocks. Why do I have such a problem with 190/189??!!?

I did it!

I finally made it to 189.

I needed to be away for a bit so I could get past the head junk that was keeping me from achieving it.

I'm walking and doing yoga.

Next goal: 179

189 again today. I added a hot low carb cereal to my plan. It think it's slowing me down so I'll go back to eggs in the morning.

45 minute walk.

Still plugging along.

Weight is the same (190).

I'm six weeks into a new exercise program that my husband is doing with me.
