I'm a happy Mama! My girlie called from college and she sounded so happy...tired, but happy! Now that I know she is doing so well, I can start to get used to the idea that she is growing up and moving on. What an incredible privilege it is to be a mother!

Did my T-Tapp workout this morning. Have a few moves to do before bed tonight. Added in a new move called Awesome Legs which is kicking my butt! (which is part of it's job. ) It also moves all that lymph that settles in your legs up and out. Supposed to give you nice cuts along the sides of your legs. Works the tummy muscles, too. Need lots of help in that tummy area. Tighter stomach muscles will help my back.

Eight days until Safety Harbor. This trip will stretch my emotionally so much. I almost didn't enter because of all my "fears" but it's time to move on and conquer those as well!

Today is five with no caffeine....no coffee, no tea, no chocolate, no pop! I'm waiting for the good feelings to show up.

GG...

Listen, woman. You must get a web camera and download Skype software. It's the perect solution to missing our youngins! You see their face AND hear their voice...big as day! There they are sitting in front of you, filling your computer screen. Tooooo suh-weeeet!

Does she have a laptop? Most of the new ones come with the webcam preloaded.

I bought my webcam at Best Buy for like $40. The software is free.

Just a thought...

Yes, you do. It's the same thing as chatting with someone online, except that you get to see them when you're chatting.

Hey, GardenGirl.....I've been reading your journal and it's very inspiring. I bought T-Tapp Basic last year, but I got pregnant and too lazy to do it! But now I'm back in Induction and thinking about trying it again. So I'm reading the book and your journal for inspiration. Need to get this mama belly banished from the premises! I'm working my way up to a bootcamp.

Anyway, thanks for sharing your great success with T-Tapp so far here at LCF!

Hi, clutterbug!

Thanks for visiting. T-Tapp is so awesome. Instructional #1 is a great place to start. Really learn everything you can before you move on. Form is everything. I committed to BWO+ for 10 days and then felt so great, I went to 14 days. Took a couple day break and then did BWO+ every other day. I eventually was able to progress to TWO, but it was a slow process.

There is a great group of ladies here on the exercise board. Right now they are posting in this thread:
http://www.lowcarbfriends.com/bbs/ex...l#post12528754

Many of them have been tapping longer than I have and can also answer questions.

Still caffeine free I am starting to feel better. Caffeine is almost out of the building. I am craving coffee, though. Not necessarily the jolt from the caffeine, but the smell, taste, and texture of the coffee. Such a ritual, you know? Decaf gives me migraines

I talked to my daughter last night and she's homesick. I think she needs a good night's sleep and will feel a little better. It's a lot to adjust to all at once. She will be home in three weeks for a long weekend.

Starting to see some effect from doing T-Tapp Awesome Legs. Either those cuts have always been there and I just didn't notice or they are new.

Four more days until I leave for Safety Harbor and the T-Tapp retreat It's going to be a once in a lifetime experience! I still need to buy a few things to take with me.

Today is my 22 year anniversary. DH and I went out for Japanese this evening. I sushi.

I my dh! We were just 18 year old babies when we got married. Now we are all grown up with a 19 yo dd, 9 yo dd, and 9 yo ds. Unbelievable how much we've changed and how much we've stayed the same.

Hi, GG...thanks for the link to the thread. I'm afraid to join in since my exercise track record is so dismal. But maybe I will! Mind if I ask you a question? And I know this could be hard to answer, but how much of your weight loss success is LC related and how much T-Tapp? How do they complement one another? And do you think you can eat higher carb levels because you T-Tapp? I know you're busy getting ready for your big trip (congratulations ), so you can answer me later if you don't have time. So I hope you have a fantabulous trip....can't wait to hear all the details!

Very good questions. I contribute all of my weight loss to LC up until March. Since March, I've lost no more weight, but have gone down a size and many, many inches. I contribute that all to T-Tapp. After experimenting this weekend, I think I am going to up my carbs. I ate a ton this weekend....not all bad food and lost a lot of inches and weigh exactly what I weighed the day before the trip. I didn't go crazy. I'm keeping a meticulous food journal since I got home to see if I can figure this out. Don't know if that answered your question or not.

You didn't really ask me, but if I were you, I would concentrate on feeding that sweet baby of yours, getting lots and lots of water, avoiding sugar and white flour, and doing T-Tapp. There is plenty of time to do hard core LC after the baby is weaned. That's just my opinion, though, and not really worth anything.

I had the most amazing time at the T-Tapp retreat at Safety Harbor. Teresa Tapp is wonderful. Lots and lots of workouts, food, fun, girl time....I came back a changed person.

I've started a food journal at SparksPeople and am recording everything that goes into my mouth. I want to figure out my eating and see if I can drop the rest of this weight. I've been doing this for over two years and I need to reach goal! Body, you've been put on notice.

I feel totally reenergized and ready to work. Learned so much from Teresa Tapp. Took pages and pages of notes. Great speakers.

I am doing the 60-Day Challenge next year. This is not an opportunity I want to pass up.

Thanks for sharing your experience and your unwanted opinion. Kidding, of course. Thanks for the encouragement and advice. I am torn between wanting to LC strictly and waiting until baby's bigger. I feel like right now I'm in a good place in eating 30-40 carbs and halfway up the ladder. It gives me plenty of good food and no deprivation. Plus, if I go over my carbs with maintenance foods, it doesn't bother me at all. My silly personality is to have to be somewhat strict, at least in planning, or else I'm doing nothing. Working on that!

So glad that the retreat was wonderful for you. Your new avatar looks great!

Trying to stay steady with my workouts. TOM interrupted. It's cold and rainy here and I have a headache. So....took some Motrin. Going to take a hot shower. I will do my workout today! Eating clean.

Brighter skies are coming, right?

So.....didn't do my workout yesterday. Just needed the rest. Feeling much better today.

Made some cream of cauliflower soup. Yum! Warms the insides on this cold rainy day. We are supposed to get a rain/snow mix on Saturday. What?!? Where's my Indian Summer?

Also tried a new recipe....ground beef, rotel, and cream cheese. Pretty yummy. Probably eat on that for a few days.

Had a great day yesterday. Got lots of paper work done. I usually put it off too long and then it is a colossal pain.

Lots of errands today. Going to take the kids out for dinner tonight in between stores. Lucky them!

Two birthday parties, a Christmas party, and a Christmas concert this weekend! 'Tis the season!

Actually, I love Christmas. I need to get my eyes off the to do list and on to the meaning of the season! Jesus and family!

Great workouts today! Love how T-Tapp makes me feel. I'm going for four days in row, so today was Day #1.

They are having a new 30 Day Challenge in January. Grand prize is attendance at a small, intimate (20 people) retreat with Teresa Tapp. Can't think of anything more awesome! Safety Harbor was awesome with 100 people!!

Slowly getting through my to-do list.

It started snowing here. Did much to get me in the Christmas spirit!

Eating is good and on target. I think I'm finally back on a good track with my eating. I tried experimenting with some things and it didn't bode too well with me. I just need to stick with good old low carb, all day, everyday! Works for me so why do I try to mess?
