Just read this in the ML, posted by Twyla(WATCH-ME-SHRINK) and I found it so inspiring that I had to copy it here:

Morning Monet,

I'm going to lunch today with girl friends and then to a scrapbooking event tonight and tomorrow. Church on Sunday.

How 'bout you?

Had a nice weekend. Great scrapbooking. Lots of relaxing time on Sunday. Church. Lunch out. Nap. Lots of good time with my kids and husband. Love those types of weekends.

Life is going well. I've gotten rid of some significant sources of stress in my life. I'm exercising and seeing my body change. (Have to say it again-I T-Tapp!!!!)

My energy level is up. Could be from the things in the proceeding sentence or because the sun is shining more. My garden is growing and I just can't describe what that does for my soul. Can't wait to buy some more plants to put in!!!

Lost all my delphinium, all but one holly hock, some of my lupine, some of the foxglove, and a rose bush or two. Plan to buy another butterfly bush. I want to rearrange some of the existing plants. Makes me happy just thinking about it! After the Biggest Loser is over for the year, I plan to put my family on a TV diet so that everyone will spend more time outside.

Found some kid's fish oil and started my littles on it. Anyone else give their kids fish oil?

Want to add something that I posted elsewhere:
Quote:
I've been doing a lot of contemplating about the board and LC. It seems that after a certain point, the people who tend to really last on this journey have incorporated exercise into their lives. It also seems that the exercise and what it does for the body becomes more important than the food. I think I may FINALLY be on that path. I love how T-Tapp makes me feel. I love how it seems to be healing my body and allowing me to get on with my life. I think this is extremely important for those of us who where larger for most of our lives. To think of myself as an "athletic" person is beyond a dream come true.

I lowered my carbs considerably and it did not have a good effect on my. It sent me into obsessive thinking which I haven't had to contend with for quite a long time. I did lose some really nice weight really fast, but the things it did to my head were not worth it. I am happy the VLC works for some people. My mental health could not handle it. If that makes me weak, so be it. I am weak. I weighed 229 lbs. at one time. I would rather be the weight I am now and be okay mentally, than be at my goal weight and feel like I did.

It prevented me from posting.

I am back to me "old" LC diet and I am feeling really good again! It took a few weeks to get my head back on straight.

I have had an amazing amount of stress the last week due to major plumbing issues in several parts of this old 89 year old house. I have had plumbers and sewer guys at my house. My step father is coming tomorrow to fix the last of the problems. The good news is that I haven't binged or thought about bingeing!

I have stayed consistent with my T-Tapp. I love, love, love that exercise program and I encourage everyone to look into it! It has changed my body in amazing ways. Even my friends and family are impressed

Special Day!

Today is a special anniversary for me. Two years ago today, I made the decision to stop turning to food as the solution to my problems. Food can't solve anything. Food can't fix a broken heart. Food can't mend relationships. Food can't fix your emotions. Only God can do that.

I am a much different person than I was two years ago. I felt helpless back then, but now I can see my health and fitness goals as real possibilities. My weight loss has been slow, but I have stayed the course.

I have added exercise (T-Tapp) and my body is stronger than it has every been.

I am an extremely happy person today.

Don't know if I mentioned it here, but I entered the 60-Day Challenge at T-Tapp. It included sending pics at the beginning, middle, and end. Two more weeks until the competition is finished. I never thought in a million years that I would enter something like this, but it has had a very positive affect on me.

My goals are switching from being diet and weight-loss oriented to being more fitness oriented. I still have a long way to go, but adding exercise in has totally changed me.

There's something I figured out about exercise. It is incredibly personal and you need to find what will work for YOU. Doesn't matter what others are having success at if it does not fit your personality, body type, and fitness level. I get very inspired by those P90X commercials, but I would not be able to accomplish them. My back, joints, etc. could not handle it. Same thing with Couch to 5K. I don't like bouncing around. I like things like yoga (which P90X includes...) and pilates. Stationary things. LOL I think that is why T-Tapp has done wonders for me. It fits my personality. You are always working to your own personal max, so you really can start it even if you have no level of fitness to speak of. The basic workout is 15 minutes long. Who can't do that? Even if you can't, you still get a great workout in 7 or 8 minutes and then the next day, you can add to that. They also have chair exercises so that even if you can't stand to do the exercises, you can sit and start from there.

Monet, Oh, I think I would like to dance....just not as exercise. I think I would also like to run, but this back just doesn't like jarring exercises.

Soooo, trying to read lots of "fitnessy" things to get inspired. Eight more days left to the Challenge I entered. I just have no idea when it comes to planning a fitness schedule. Having read just about every diet book there is, I know about food. Not much about exercise.

Went to my cousin's funeral today. He was only 35. Motorcycle accident.

sugarless4life had this very inspiring signature:

Thank you for the condolences.

Haven't been around too much.

Starting to mix things up with my eating. Upping calories, upping carbs, lowering carbs, lowering calories... It's working well. Taking lots of walks with my dog. Doing a lot of T-Tapp. Gardening. Enjoying the summer. Reading books and magazines.

My oldest daughter leaves for college in 5 weeks. Big changes ahead for all of us. Time goes so quickly and they grow up so fast.

Migraine

Did T-Tapp Step Away The Inches. Loved it. Hope it clears out some of these hormones. My last two TOM have been HORRIBLE. Lots of migraines, pain, and mood swings. My poor family.

Thanks, Monet!

Decided to be proactive and make a doctor's appt. Going to see a new one. Hope she can help. The migraines are coming about every two weeks and my life basically stops. Can't have that, now can we?

Had a great T-Tapp workout yesterday.

Walked an hour today. Going to get in another T-Tapp workout in a little bit.

Have I mentioned that I love T-Tapp?

Monet, did your friend find any relief other than the shower?

*****

Have had a couple of awesome days.

I walked for about an hour on Monday and then did Critter Crunch which is a super long T-Tapp workout....mostly floor (stomach, thigh) type stuff. Kicked my butt good! I'm still sore today.

Tuesday was a rest day.

Today, I walked an hour and then did BWO+ from T-Tapp.

I decided that I need to be more proactive about TOM and PMS. I have PCOS which means I don't really have normal cycles. They are evil with a capital E! I've been pretty much trying to handle them like everyone else I know. I am not like everyone else....I am a woman with PCOS. I really think that I need to step it up and have a plan.I have 20 really great days a month and about 10 awful ones....depressed, grumpy, achy, dizzy, headachy (migraines), etc. I'm doing some more research.

I've also decided that I'm trying to change too many things......really low carb, add more carbs, carb cycle, try to get off caffeine, lots of exercise. I don't think my poor body knows what to do. So, I'm going to keep eating like I've been eating the past two years which has been working just fine--just really, really slow--keep drinking my beloved Starbucks (made at home) and pump up the exercise. I love T-Tapp and am able to stick with it and it is changing my body in wonderful ways. I am going to add lots of walking until the snow really starts flying. When I make it to there, I will make a new plan.

I also need to start thinking about how I am going to handle January and February. I've pinpointed that I tend to have an emotional slump during that time. Two years ago I realized it....last year I anticipated it and just lived through it....this year I plan to kick its butt! Not sure how I'm going to do that yet, but I WILL HAVE A PLAN!

No.. not that I know of hun.. I haven't talked to him in a few years ..

Did you know that some scents trigger migraines? I am not sure which ones.. you might research that.. also.. do you eat a lot of fat? Omega threes? I believe I read somewhere that the omegas help as well as fat.. the good fats of course.... hope you find something to help..

have a great day sweetie

Great work out today.

Did 2nd half of T-Tapp Total Workout. Planning to walk later.

Feeling great. I've been setting the clock to wake up at the same time every day which makes me tired at night. Getting my younger kids ready to start our school back up. Oldest leaves in the middle on September for college.

Life is good!

Just wanted to update everyone....I co-won the T-Tapp 60-Day Challenge! I'm going to the T-Tapp Retreat at the Safety Harbor Resort and Spa

What a great reason to exercise!!

Also, took my oldest daughter to college on Friday. <insert sobbing smiley here> She's e-mailed a few times and seems to be doing well. I miss her voice. She needs to call her mama!
