Danny's Journal
Okay, I've never joined a forum of any type before, but I'm excited. I am going to use this "journal" for myself to help keep me on track. I have a tendency to go on and off my low-carb plan easily. Recently I tried Weight Watchers, knowing that the weight loss would be slower, but I just couldn't keep with it. I was constantly wishing I was doing the low-carb diet plan because I know how well it works without cheats! So, anyway, I plan on posting my food intake for the day, daily workouts (if there are any), and current weight.
Today's Menu: Breakfast (11:00) - 2 hardboiled egg whites Lunch (2:00) - grilled chicken with salad and hot sauce Dinner (6:00) - grilled chicken with broccoli/asparagus Snack - 2 hardboiled eggs Work-out: run 1/2 hour I'll post tomorrow morning with the progress (hopefully) I made today. I'm really excited about changing, this time for good! |

I actually made it through yesterday, and it's already 5:00 today. I decided to try to make it until Wednesday with m/e. It is so difficult, but hopefully by Thanksgiving I will be feeling better about the way my clothes fit.
I also managed to run 1/2 hour both yesterday and today. Definitely a start. |

Today's Menu:
B: 2 eggs with 2 pieces of turkey bacon Lunch: Turkey burger Dinner: Grilled chicken Snack (if needed): 2 hardboiled eggs I am determined to stick with m/e to get myself back into the swing of things. I remembered to drink my bottle of water this morning, so hopefully I will stay focused. Thanksgiving is only 10 days away, and I want to be excited (or at least not dreading) about buying a new outfit. I'll update later tonight. |

Hi, njcdanny! You're doing great! I love your quote in your signature line, too! Amen!
As far as tricks for not eating after dinner, I only watch tv when I'm exercising. That is a major deterrent right there! And think of how you're boosting your metabolism and burning extra cals late at night! If you are truly hungry after dinner and it's hunger and not just cravings, eat. Your body is a furnace and it needs fuel. I've eaten a little at midnight before because I was hungry. If you are truly hungry, eat something small, protein-filled and drink water. ![]()

Thanks for the advice!.I just had a bottle of water. Water DEFINITELY helps me a lot! I never used to enjoy drinking it, but recently I've been almost craving it.

Starting the day off right with another bottle of water..felt good this morning, not at all bloated, i love that! Last night I definitely had a headache, but it actually made me feel good because I know that only means my body's getting used to the no sugars...hope to stay m/e today..ill post later with how I've done.
ps..I was so happy I didn't have anything after dinner. The tea really helped! |

Well, I had wayy too many peanuts and cheese tonight. Stress makes me overeat FOR SURE...also, I visited my mom's and for some reason I always eat more when I come home. I need to remind myself that, no matter how homesick I'm feeling, try to stick it out and stay home.
Night. |
