Today was a relatively relaxing day too...just needed to do some grocery shopping.
Exercise for today: AM was Turbo Jam 20 minute workout and PM was Slim Series Mix It Up and I'm feeling that one now! Yowsa! I forgot how that workout went...now I know why it's been so long since I've done that one. It's a very good, comprehensive workout, so I'll be doing it again. I've been doing Turbo Jam 20 minute in the AM and then another in the PM. This way if I don't get to the PM for whatever reason, at least I did the one. Eating was on track, water was on track. Have to get things ready for the work week. Time to go and do that.

Look at you go! You are doing so great!
I hope your spring comes early. My azaleas are already blooming, so my backyard is pretty in hot pink! We sold our house, but we cannot close until May 15. At first I thought it was too long, but now I like that we don't have to rush to find a house and have plenty of time to prepare and pack. I'm in a bit of a water funk. I'm getting in 4 12oz. glasses, but I want to have double that, but I'm simply not making myself do it. I hope spring will bring a new outlook for me. Keep up the good work sista! ![]()

Hey, Erin...thanks. I'm hoping our spring comes early too. Yesterday, we had a 2 hour delay because wind chills were -25. Today we're off because of snow and ice.
Yay for selling your house! Hopefully, you'll find the perfect house in no time. I've been going crazy with water. I'm drinking about 200 oz a day! It seems the more I drink, the more I want. I did Turbo Jam Cardio Party 2 this AM since school was closed. Very intense workout. I liked it though. Going to get some things done around the house today since this weekend we'll be at a wrestling tournament. Time to get moving for the day! |

Wow...haven't been in here in a while.
Let's see...been working out on a regular basis...two times a day, except for the rest day. Then I usually do Slim and Limber. Eating has been on track....water intake has also been on track. Guess not too much has changed since I was here last. |

Today was a rather uneventful day. Did some grocery shopping and laundry. Now I need to get ready for DS's wrestling banquet. Not sure what's on the menu. Most likely it will be a buffet. It's at a local restaurant. I just had a salad with some turkey on it, so I'm not hungry at all...so, if there's nothing that's LC friendly, I'll be fine.
I am exhausted today. I think it's because I didn't exercise in the AM. I've been working out in the AM and have more energy throughout the day. I called today a rest day and I'm exhausted. I don't like this feeeling. Actually, happened last week one day. Don't remember which one, but I didn't get the AM workout in and felt lousy all day! Have to make sure I do the AM workout even on rest days! Oh, well, time to get ready. I'll check in later. |

Hi QBU!
I commend you for working out in the a.m. I am too lazy to do that! I have been pretty tired lately, too. I think it is weather-related. Here in NW Ohio we had temperatures in the high 70s the last couple of days, but now it is back down to 50. And then next week my mom mentioned something about snow flurries (!?!) I know the weather is playing havoc with my skin: so dry! |

Thanks...I'm up before 4AM to get ready for work, so I just do a short workout in the AM.
I know what you mean about the weather. I'm in NE Pennsylvania and we're the same way...low 70's and high 60's last couple of days and now back to the 30's and 40's for our weekend! I just want it to get nice and stay that way! |

I haven't been in here in a while....over a month! Wow...things don't change much though. Still following this WOE, exercising, and drinking my water.
I started the C25K program today. Last Saturday was my birthday and I got an iPod...downloaded the C25K podcasts and started it today. Much easier with the podcast. I tried it before, but having to look at my watch, walk, run was just too much for me. With these, he tells you when it's time to switch and there's music in the background. Nice way to start. The weather is getting really nice now. It's been in the 70's the past few days. I'm hoping that spring is finally here. Gonna go and see what's going on around here. |

Hey Friend,
Happy belated birthday! You are doing fab as usual. I'm so happy you are having success at this WOE! I have been MIA forever it seems. I was on and off plan for the last couple of months. We have been preparing for our move forever it seems, but our closing date is finally here. We close on our house on Tuesday the 15. Since I've been MIA I have packed my house up, and secured a three bedroom townhouse to rent while our house is being built. We will move into it this weekend. I'm a little weirded out by the thought of sharing walls with strangers. I'm very hopeful that it's going to be better than I'm thinking it will be. I have been back low carbing for two weeks now. I started writing in a journal and it seems to help a lot. I truly believe that my picture should be in the dictionary next to the word GLUTTON! It describes me to a tee, but I am seriously working on changing that. I've decided that in addition to eating low carb, I need to find out why I over eat and why I choose not to dicipline myself when it comes to eating. It's still very early, but I feel hopeful again and I haven't felt that way for a loooooong time. Okay enough about me. How are you and your family doing? I'm glad to read that you are getting some warmer temps up there. A sunny, warm day is good for the soul. It's great to be back in touch! Erin |

Hey, Erin!!! Glad to see you again!
I'm sure it was rough with all the stress of moving...but you're back on plan now...so, you start from now again. You'll get there! Thanks for the belated birthday wishes. Things have been going well with me. Scale doesn't seem to be moving too fast, but the inches are still coming off. I started doing the Couch to 5K program after my birthday. I'm using the podcasts for it and it's great. I'm still only on week 1, but hey, I'm trying it. I can't believe that our school year is almost over. We only have 18 school days left! ARRRGHHHHHH! I have more work to do than that!!! I'm going to be at the middle and high schools again next year. I'm really happy about that. I'm also doing ESY (Exteneded School Year) from July 2 to July 23. Then planning on going to the National Autism Conference from July 30 to August 3. So my summer will be busy. DS has been doing great with his drums. He loves it. He'll play for hours at a time. Now when he's finshed practicing what his teacher wants him to practice, he plays along with the Beatles trying to learn their songs. He's not too bad with them either. DH is getting back to music too. He got just bought two new bass guitars and has a 12 string guitar on hold. So there are times when both of them are downstairs playing together. Our weather has been absolutely beautiful!!! High 70's low 80's, nice breeze! Incredible! Well, I'm so glad that you're back. Talk to you again soon! |

So glad to hear every thing is going so well for youa and your fam.
I think it's great that you are doing the couch to 5k!! You continue to inspire me! Keep me posted to your accomplishments. How long is it supposed to take to get up to the 5k? That's awesome that your ds and dh are playing together!! That is something for them to share together and they will need that when ds becomes a teen. You will have a busy summer. Just be sure to find some time to relax too. We're all moved in and I'm still on plan. Have to go back and clean the house tomorrow. It's so sad to see it empty and know we are leaving our wonderful neighbors. I feel like we are in limbo, waiting for the next chapter of our lives to start, but I suppose it already has. It's good to be back! And I'm psyched that you are doing great with the podcasts and still losing inches. You rock!!! |

Thanks, Erin...the C25K is supposed to take 9 weeks to complete. I'm starting week 2, not sure if it will be Tuesday or Wednesday. I love using the podcasts for this program. Makes it so much easier.
I'm sure I'll find some time to relax over the summer. I have from June 8 to July 2 and then a few weeks in August, so it'll be good. I have to get back to doing the exercise videos too. That part seems to have stopped momentarily. I guess I was focusing on the C25K and let that part go. New plan is to do videos each AM and on the off days from the C25K in the evening. Eating has been on plan, water has been good, but the scale is not being my friend these days!!! I'm hoping adding running to my exercise routine will kick the weight loss into gear again. Hope you had a wonderful Mother's Day. Enjoy your Monday! |

Hey, how are you? We finally closed on our house. Very bitter sweet, but our new house is really taking shape, so we're excited. I have continued to be super busy this week. Appointments and such every day.
Running should help you see the scale move down again. I've always heard what a great way to lose weight it is. I'm looking forward to your progress. My Mother's Day was very nice, despite having to clean our old house. How about yours? Do you love your iPod? I've been thinking about getting one. Let me know how often you use it, besides the C25K Podcasts. Tomorrow's Friday!!! Hooray!!!! ![]() |

Hey, Erin...I'm doing pretty good. Been exhausted this last week though...not sure why.
I'm really hoping that running makes the scale move...it's soooooooo frustrating!!! My Mother's Day was nice...it was quiet and relaxing. I use my iPod everyday. I have it with me on the way to work and listen to the music. Makes the drive go faster, plus I don't need to listen to DH and our carpool partner's conversations. We have a wedding to go to tomorrow...a former student of DH is getting married. Should be nice. DH will get to see a lot of his former students at the wedding. Plus, DS is staying at my mom's tomorrow night...with the mood he's in today, I'm glad he'll be there tomorrow night. Whatever has gotten into him better find it's way out, and QUICK!!! Time to go see what's going on around here. |

Hey Girl,
I didn't realize I hadn't been here in so long. My how time flies! How was the wedding? Anything crazy happen? So far I'm doing well on WW. Tomorrow is one week, but I truly feel I will be able to stick with this for quite some time. We'll see how I feel when that first plateau hits. If I've learned anything, it's that going off any plan is the kiss of death for me. But it feels good to eat carbs legally again, but with control. Do you have a plan of attack to get back into your exercise routine? I need a new plan, but truthfully I have been so busy, I haven't thought too much about it. Bet your ds is excited that summer holiday is finally here. More time to spend on the drums right? What are you doing for the 4th of July? So far we have no plans. We should come up with a challenge for us to do X amount of exercise by the 4th, maybe it will get us jump started. What do ya think? |

Hey,Erin...it's been a while since I've been here too.
The wedding was really nice. It was nice to see so many of the students that my DH had many years ago. Some looked exactly the same...others, the years were not so kind to. Not sure what the plan of attack is for the exercise. It's my first week off and I've been working at a local nursing home. I'm thinking I'll do the AM workout before going in to the nursing home and then do a PM workout too. I need to get back to the C25K program. That was going good and then life got in the way. No plans for the 4th as of yet. Any ideas for a challenge would be great. Just let me know. I may be offline for a bit. Our computer suffered a "catastrophic hard drive failure" yesterday. I'm in mourning for it. I have an old laptop that I was finally able to configure to connect, but don't know for how long. Friday we'll be looking for a new computer. |

Things are going OK with me. Not exercising as much as I should, but that's about to change again...actually thinking of doing a C25K run now. Hope all is going well for you. |

Technically, yes, I have the summer off....but...I'm working. I took a job at a local nursing home a few days a week and in July, I'll be back to school working the extended school year. I'm glad though. I'm off today and I'm a bit bored.
We went to Seneca Lake in NY state on Saturday for a lunch cruise and wine tasting. It was such a nice day! Weather was beautiful. We came home with a lot of wine...it'll last us a long time. We normally only open a bottle on holidays. I started the C25K again. It feels so good when I'm done with the run. I think I need to try to do some running outdoors now that the weather is good. Just need to find a safe place to go. We live out in the country and the roads are very windy and not very wide. I have to also get back to doing the cardio DVDs. I felt sooooo much better when I was doing the two a day workout schedule. Now I'm feeling like a lump since I haven't been. Also, decided today that I'm giving up the diet soda. I think that's a big contributor to my stall. We'll see how that works. Water only during the day. So far, so good today. Had 120oz already. Time to go and get some lunch made for DS, DH and myself. |

OK...today went well. No diet soda at all...had water and green tea to drink.
Did some exercise too. Did Turbo Jam 20 minute and Hip Hop Abs last minute abs. Felt good to do that again. That's the plan for tomorrow AM before work too. Calling it a night on here. |

Well, it's been about a week since I've been here.
We got our new computer on Saturday. Had a lot of headaches at first, but now, it's all set and it's working fine. Eating's been on track..been drinking a lot of water. Weighed this AM and actually LOST 2lbs since last week! I guess that diet soda was stalling me. Keep cutting that out and see how it goes. I have to update my signature line. I'm hoping there's going to be a video challenge for July. Have to get going with those again. In fact, I think I'll go and do one tonight. DH and DS are downstairs playing the drums (DS) and bass guitar (DH), so I've got time to myself (ahhhhhh, such a nice feeling!). May have to get out the squat nazi and get started with Start It Up since it's been so long since I've seen her. I'll check back in tomorrow. |

Hey,
You are doing wonderful!!! I'm so impressed with you backing off the Diet Pepsi and picking up the exercising again. You go girl!!! CONGRATS on losing two pounds!!! Yes, the diet soda's can be a big staller, ay?!!! Glad you are enjoying some time to yourself while your family is jammin'. And Woo Hoo, for the new computer!!! I LOVE getting new computers. They improve so quickly, that it is always so easy to see the difference. I like that! How is the summer job going? Does your DS stay at home with dad? Any summer holiday's planned for you and the fam? Keep up the good work. I'll try to peek back in soon!! ![]() |

Thanks, Erin...I'm amazed at the difference without the diet soda. I'm glad we have the new computer....just didn't plan on getting it this soon. Had no choice though, the other one crashed and we didn't have one. My summer job is going great. I'm really loving working in the nursing home again. My other summer job starts on Monday. I'll be going to the school for the extended school year. Yep...DS stays at home with DH. DH has been keeping him busy. They're tearing apart the basement and doing a lot of cleaning out of junk. Today, DS was splitting wood (for the smoker~~yee-haaa!) and he mowed our back field. Keeping him out of trouble and tiring him out so he sleeps a little later in the AM. We have a few day trips planned for this summer. We did the Franklin Institute last week. We want to do some local amusement parks, the Philadelphia Zoo, DS would love to go to Orange County Choppers store (where the people from American Chopper are), I'd like to do a local park with waterfalls (to take some pics), the National Aquarium in Baltimore is planned too. This Friday, we're planning on a movie for DS, since he's worked so hard this week with his dad. DS is going to be 10 on Sunday. We ordered him some new things for his drums. We ordered new drum heads, a new set of cymbals, and a new snare drum. We ordered from musiciansfriend. Not sure if you've ever heard of it or not, but since your DS is a drummer too, may be worth it to take a look. Prices are great! Gonna go and do some exercise now. DH and DS are at DS's drum lesson. I'll check in later. |

Well, today DS is 10! I can't believe it, he's two digits! He wanted to go to Olive Garden for dinner, so that's where we had dinner tonight.
He didn't get his official presents yet because his birthday party is next weekend. He's getting antsy now...he wants to know what he got. He's seen the UPS truck here twice this past week, so he knows something is up. I think he's going to be happy with what he gets. He's into drumming, so he should like what he gets. Just noticed I still haven't updated my signature. I'll have to do that. I need to go and look to see if there's a video challenge for July. I need to start them again. I feel blaaaahhhhh when I'm not. I don't know why I stop, well, yes I do...time for myself is limited at times and I need to make that a priority again. Think I'll do that starting now. Go and pop in a DVD, do some exercise, then look and see if there's a challenge for July posted, change my signature. I've got to make it a relatively early night. I'm going back to work at school tomorrow. The summer program starts and I've got to be there at 8:30AM...an hour later than usual, but still need to make sure I'm there on time. When I'm going to the nursing home, I don't have set hours. I pretty much set when I go in, but now, I'm going to have to be back on a schedule. That will get me exercising again in the AM though. So that's a good thing. Well, off to spend some time with the squat nazi and do some Slim in Six. |

Yesterday I started the summer program at school. It was nice to see some of my kids again. I have some that I don't know too...amd that's a bit of a challenge. I'll only have them for 4 weeks, so by the time I get to know them, they'll be gone.
I'm also still working at the nursing home. That's going good. It's extra spending money for me, so that's nice. Exercise was SIU and S&L yesterday. I'm calling today a rest day since I'm exhausted. Tomorrow will be SIU and C25K W1D2. Should be easier to get the exercise in. I'm off from school and only have one patient to see at the nursing home. I'll do SIU before work and the C25K in the evening. I finally have iTunes downloaded again and was able to get my iPod's music on iTunes. Had to download a different program, but it worked, so I'm happy about that. The only thing that didn't copy over were the playlists. They were easy to re-do. I actually edited some of them and like them better now. DH and DS are practicing. DH is taking bass guitar lessons and DS is taking drum lessons. Talk about loud! Excedrin has become one of my best friends . Actually, DH is pretty good, he just wants to learn a different technique and DS is getting really good too. Well, time to relax for a while. |
