WTB size 8 Jeans PST
I was going to start this journal thingy a couple of days ago but I've been in a really crappy mood and I'd like to keep this as positive as possible so when I get all cranky like the last couple of days I can come here and see that there is a positive me that wants to succeed. (See that, future-cranky-me, you want to succeed, so suck it up)
I've been looking over my fitday (such a handy tool) and I've decided that I've just got too many veggies in my diet for induction. I'm completely addicted to onions and bell peppers so limiting them is really hard. When a recipe calls for one onion, I would use two. I have to cut those out for a while. I started this morning with neither onions or peppers in my scrambled eggs. Nor will they be in my taco salad for lunch. But my 2 tbsp of salsa stays! lol Positive affirmation of the day:

I have no idea what my starting weight was.
Why didn't I weigh myself? I know it was somewhere between 215 and 220 so I guess 217.5 will work. I had a typo in my stats, too. Said my current weight was 117 instead of 217 Just a few pounds off, really. I got my tape measure yesterday but I really have no idea how to measure myself. I googled but the websites I found left me with more questions than answers. I'll just do my best. Positive thought of the day:

Wowza! I found FitTV. I did like 3 sets of theses squat thingies and I think my legs are gonna fall off.
Unfortuantely, it kind of hurt my abdomin. I really really want to start working out but I'm afraid I'm not fully healed from my C-Section. I know I don't want to do abs yet, but squats? Come on, it's been 3 months. And I know I should probably talk to my dr but ugh, not if that means another "exam" I can't find my camara. I really wanted to get some before photos. I'm sure Julsie ate it or something. I really love this. Really, I do. It's something I can be proud of myself for. It shows me I do have self control. I love how strict atkins is. You -cannot- just have a bite of bread and it be okay. That might fly on other WOEs, but not this one, and that's what keeps me in check. If it were okay to have a taste of pie, then I would fail. Plain and simple. When you live with 1000 other people who eat whatever they want, it's hard. All the junk in the cabnets and in the fridge. Oi. I made my eldest daughter a piece of toast with strawberry jelly this morning. It's pretty rough for me not to just take a little bite. But I didn't, and I won't. I'm worth more than cheating. And I sure as hell am not going to be defined by a slice of bread. Positive thought of the day:

You know how they say too much knowledge can be dangerous? That's certainly the case for me with low-carbing. I'm having a hard time deciding which plan I want to stick to. Right now I'm doing Atkins induction and tomorrow will be two weeks. As of now I suppose I'll just go into OWL and move up the carb ladder. Thing is I really like the idea of using the glycemic load and I also like the idea of carb cycling. Right now I'm thinking that I can 20g-30g net carb down and a glycemic load thing for carb up. I haven't really thought much about what my up/down schedule would be yet.
I've also added in exercise. Yesterday I did 30 minutes of a FitTV show I had recorded (ow! my thighs!!) and today I did 1 mile from Walk Away The Pounds. If I can ever find my Firm videos I'm going to add those in. I also picked up Yoga Booty Ballet. I really like Yoga and I really like the word booty so it should be good. Who can argue with that kind of logic? ![]() Tomorrow is measurement day!! I hope I lost something somewhere because the scales aren't moving passed 212 ![]() |
