Kim's Journal ~ I ROCK!

Hi everyone! I'll start off by saying I've been on Atkin's for 7 months now and have lost almost 50 pounds. This has been a long and sometimes frustrating road for me but I am going to continue on until I reach my goal

I absolutely LOVE journaling because it's a huge stress reliever for me.

I have three beautiful children; Emily 7, Evan 3 and Ethan 15 months, they are the loves of my life

I have been happily married for 4 years to a wonderful man who supports me in every way and I grow more in love with him each and every day.

Currently I am going to college for Nursing but my real passion is fashion and modeling. I have done some plus size modeling for local companies in my town one of them being Fashion Bug (LOVE the store) and am wanting to get into bigger and better things. I was actually called a couple months back and was asked to fly to Vegas to walk in front of 1500 scouts who were looking for new models, unfortunately I wasn't able to go because I couldn't afford the plane ticket. Maybe I will try again next year, I'll probably have a better chance too because I'll be thinner. My goal is to show bigger women that they are beautiful and accepted in a world where society thinks one has to be anorexic in order to be accepted. I think I'll end this here but I look forward to meeting everyone!

that is awsome girl and you can and will do this! I cant wait to lose a lot more and it is easier than any diet I have done before and I have tryed them all! Atkins is great! Cant wait to follow you along your journey!

Hi RNW and Cleo! I have tried every diet too, the one I did before Atkin's was Weight Watchers. I was so frustrated because I had only lost 4 pounds in two weeks, it was horrible! With Atkin's I managed to lose 13 pounds doing Induction. This absolutely rocks and I will never try anything else.

Thanks Cleo, don't let their innocent faces fool ya, lol! I am so frustrated by the end of the day I could just cry.. My 7 and 3 year olds are at each others throats ALL DAY! The littlest one is my little cuddle bear though, he likes to sit on my lap and watch TV with me all the time.

Hey Kim, I saw you around the other board, but I never introduced myself. My name was taken here, so I had to come up with something else. I was Tryin2lose before. You have come a long way baby! Don't you feel GOOD! Cuz you sure look good. I think your best bet with modeling is to send a plain old snapshot directly to agencies. Then they will call you if they like what they see. My son worked in the "industry" when we lived in California, that's why I'm suggesting that. It shouldn't cost you anything to get an agent. Well if you live in Michigan you may have to travel some. I know Chicago has a lot of "industry stuff", how far are you from there. Or you could even start in Detroit. Find only SAG approved agencies to send your pic to!!! Sorry for the unsolicited advice. You can tell me to stuff if ya wanna and I'll keep my trapper shut.

Try highlighting all the text that you want colored and then going to the Font color box (fourth button from the left) and clicking on the color you want. It is a little different over here because you can see the codes (they aren't hidden like they were over there).

Double check and make sure that something like this appears before any of your text [*COLOR="Blue"]

This starts your color and anything after that will be painted. Then to "close" the color it should show [/COLOR*] at the very end of your text. (There will be no astericks in the codes, I added that so it would appear here and not go invisible thinking it was a code.)

Let me know if that works.

Sweet! I remember you, I don't think we talked on the "Other" board but there's lots of crazy drama going on and I've got lots of hate mail. Thankyou so much for the nice compliment, you rock! I could try what you suggested for the modeling thing, Chicago is about 5 hours from me and Detroit is maybe 20 minutes. I absolutely hate going to Detroit because I was robbed at gunpoint a few years back and get panic attacks even if I drive by the damn city. It's definately not a great place to be.. I'm not sure what is offered in Detroit but I can check it out, I really like doing it for Fashion Bug I just really want to get one of my pictures on their wall! I love the advice! I'd never tell ya to shut it! I really need to get a portfolio together, the picture you see here I took myself. I wanted to go to school for photography but ended up doing nursing, but I do take some good pics.

My ds is 14 now, but when he was 6 & 7 he did a couple of commercials and print ads. That is how you go about getting a reputable agency. Never pay money. After an agency wants you, they will ask you to get headshots and that shouldn't be more than $200 TOPS!!! I think my sons were $75, then about $100 after the agency chose the shot they wanted and had them printed up. If you have any questions I'd be happy to answer them if I can. I have a headache too, mine is sinuses. Wish they would clear up! See you tomorrow.

It helps when you have someone in the same phase as you are in. I hope they are fun!

Things are so relaxed over here. I am astounded at the atmosphere.

So far my day is not turning out to be the greatest, I've pretty much run out of food for myself except for a huge head of cabbage and hot dogs. For lunch I fried up some cabbage and didn't even measure it, I know the carb count is higher but the stuff just absolutely rocks. So I fried that up in some butter and am having 3 hot dogs with it, I know it's not the greatest meal but that's what I'm stuck with for a few days. I did over indulge and ended up making myself two iced coffees, one for breakfast and one for lunch (I'm so addicted). I went a packet over my allowed Splenda and used half and half but I've never had a problem with using extra Splenda or cream so I think I'll be ok. I would really like to know if I am back in Ketosis right now but one of my lovely kids took the Keto strips I bought and hid them on me!
